Placements: If we talk about the overall college placement, it is good. But if we talk about particular branches like mechanical, chemical or instrumentation, the placements are pathetic. Branches like computer science, information technology, and electronics have very good placements. The highest salary paid this year is 10.5 lakh by Credits Suisse and the lowest salary is 2.5 lakh. Generally, a lot of companies visit for comp-IT students like Credits Suisse, HSBC, Vodafone and many others. Talking about o...
Placements: If you are looking for any college after COEP and PICT, then I will say VIT is the right choice for you. In VIT, the placement is very good for computer and IT engineering branches but if you see the percentage of students getting placed from other branch is slightly less than computer branch. Many ECE student chooses IT companies due to the lack of companies coming for this branch. The percentage of students getting placed: 1. Computer and IT: 80-90% 2. ECE: 80-85% 3. Mechanical: 60-70% 4. Ins...
Placements: The placements in the department are of moderate level. The reason for this is since chemical engineering is a core branch, starting packages can be pretty low, so most of the students either go for an MS or prepare for GATE exams. The students who are interested in placements, the ones who try to enter core technical industries get a package of about 2-5 lakhs in companies such as Technique, Naveen Fluorine, Pernot Ricard, Emerson, etc. The one who prefers a sales profile can apply for companie...
Placements: Placements stats at VIT are quite good considering the number of companies visiting. However, the main attraction of companies is for computer and IT departments. The E&TC department also had great company packages averaging at 4.5 lacs/annum. Considering the last year stats, over 100 companies visited VIT with the highest package of 38 lacs from Amazon Ltd to a student of the computer department.
Placements: Our batch placements were better than our previous batch. 70% students were placed. The highest salary was 8lakhs per annum, lowest was 10,000 per month and the average was 25,000 per month. Companies like L'Oréal visited campus and they offered roles like safety, management, etc. 90% students got the internship.
Placements: Being an autonomous institute, placements are above average in VIT, Pune. The computer and IT departments stand first amongst the students placed with almost 80-85% students placed. E&TC stands second with 80% students placed. The average package of all departments is around 4.5 lacs PA. Although recently, there is a tendency that placements would dwindle down next year onwards due to the reduced demand for software companies but it would still be better than most university colleges in the city...
Placements: The placements were good. As the market is a bit low, the companies are hesitating to recruit the students with less technical knowledge. The internships are compulsory for all the 4th year students. Otherwise, you will not get the degree. The college brings companies for placement and internships.
Placements: Placements are the most important factor. Placements from our college are pretty good as many companies visit our college for placements. The average salary package in our college is around 3-5 lacs but went as high as 22 lacs. Our college holds combined placements for 2 colleges, our college and VIIT. Placements for both the colleges are done here.
Placements: The placement of mechanical engineering department was above 50% till 2015. But last year it declined to 35%. The department is taking efforts this year to improve the number. The highest package offered was 27 lacs and the average salary is around 3-5 lacs. List of companies visited: 1. Mercedes Benz 2. Atlas Copco 3. Kirloskar Pneumatics 4. Alfa Laval 5. Thermax 6. Eaton Technologies 7. Sandvik 8. Volkswagon India 9. General Electricals 10. Cummins India 11. JFE 12.Tata Technologies 13.Jacobs...
Placements: The placement is very good. Lots of companies visit the college. The TPO really works hard for getting companies in college. Highest sal-14 lakhs, average sal-4 lakhs, lowest sal-3 lakhs. Almost 50% of students get an internship through the college. Barclays, Amazon, Vuclip, Accenture, MasterCard etc. -these companies visited our college campus.
Placements: Placements were good. I got placed in Mu-Sigma. From my class, 89 out of 93 students got placed. Salary varied from 2.5 LPA to 14 LPA. Average salary is about 4 LPA. Most people got placed in IT companies like Accenture, Wipro, Persistent, etc. Placement cell was strict but very caring, especially top management. Clerk and other helpers were rude though. Students were regularly updated with the latest news. If you do average, you will get placed for sure. IT companies offer posts like software t...
Placements: The placements were good for computers branch but for the other branches, it was average There was one company for one student, and when one student was selected in a company, he was not allowed to sit for the other companies. Around 60-65% students were placed. The highest salary offered was 13.5 lakhs, the lowest was 1.9 lakhs and the average was 3-3.5 lakhs. The companies like Morgan Stanley, Nvidia, Barclays, Tata Technologies, Avaya, Persistent, Mu Sigma, Oracle OFSS, many startups of Pune ...
It is one of the reputed institutes in Maharashtra. Lot of good companies from diversified industries keep visiting here for campus placements. Faculty has been good and interactive with students. I would recommend this college to all students who want to pursue engineering.
I am an electronics engineer from VIT. Graduated in 2012. College has a good brand name. But faculty for electronics was very poor. Also campus and canteen was below average. The plus points of the college were autonomy due to which it was easy to score, good crowd, extracurricular and moderate fees. Also placements are good and college has good ROI (return over investment).
The faculty is very good. Quality teaching is what they prioritize. The placements were also good. The hostel facility is not provided as of now. The infrastructure of the college including labs for experiments are very good, all the equipment were present in abundance.
It was good. Due to autonomous the curriculum was not good. Could have been much better..Chem dept was too lenient in academics. Due to two shifts the main purpose of education was lost. Sticked one shift and could have been much better. Overall it was too good as a college. Worth studying.
VIT, Pune has a decent infrastructure with computer labs with computers, dedicated work shop, boiler equipment etc. Faculty members are experienced and has mixed emotions, some were good and others not up to the mark. Courses and Electives offered was quite interesting. Placement scenario was really good when I passed out in 2012. Almost all people got placed by end of that year. Average salary offered was around 4 lpa. Besides decent placements, VIT is quite culturally active. B.E from VIT is ...
VIT Pune occupies a place of pride among the institutes in western India. It is the first private autonomous engineering college in Maharashtra. Having completed more than 25 years, today this institute is recognized very well globally. Autonomy has allowed the institute to include the student and industry oriented subjects in the curriculum which has not only helped in ending up the common mugging up practices which certain subjects require but has also been helpful in reducing the unnecessary ...
The college belongs to very bad area. But one should not describe the college with the area it belongs to, instead it should be on how the teaching is. College Faculty members are really good and also the way the system keeps every students in touch with academics. College campus is too short that students neither have enough ground to play nor place for parking the vehicles. But still it is well managed.
