UCEED 2025: Previous Year Sample Questions with Answer Key

Section 1 of the UCEED question paper 2025 will include NAT (Numerical Answer Type). There will be a total of 18 questions, each carrying 4 marks. There is no negative marking for an incorrect attempt. For NAT-type questions, the answer will be a number that the candidate needs to be entered using a virtual keyboard in the computer screen. Note that the candidate will not be given any choices for these questions.

The UCEED exam will have two parts - Part A and Part B. Part A will include Numerical Answer Type NAT Multiple Select Question (MSQ), Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). Meanwhile, Part B will include drawing and aptitude-based questions. Note that in the previous edition of the exam, Part B include only sketching-based question. So, starting UCEED 2024, the candidate also needs to prepare for aptitude based questions that will be asked in Part B. Questions for the aptitude section will evaluate the ability of the candidate to practically and appropriately respond to problems/situations with ingenuity and empathy.

The UCEED question paper will be of 3 hours and include two parts - The computer-based Part A and the offline-based Part B. It is mandatory for candidates to appear in both the paper. 

Also, Part B paper answer booklets will only be evaluated if the candidate qualifies Part A. IIT Bombay will release the cut-off marks for Part A before the declaration of results. 

Part A will include the following types of questions: Numerical Answer Type (NAT) Multiple Select Question (MSQ) Multiple Choice Question (MCQ). Part A will now include 57 questions.

Meanwhile, Part B will include 2 questions; this includes a sketching-based and an aptitide-based question.

The Part A question paper will include three sections. Of these three sections, Section 3 will include 28 multiple-choice questions. Each of these questions will carry 3 marks, while 0.71 marks will be deducted for each incorrect answer. So, the total marks for the section will be 96 marks. Each MCQ will be followed by four answer choices. Out of these four choices, only one is the correct answer.

IIT Bombay will release the question paper and answer keys for UCEED 2025 soon after the conclusion of the design entrance exam. However, it may be noted that the order in which a question appears may differ for each candidate. So, the candidates must use the Master Question Paper uploaded on the official UCEED website. Use it as a reference to upload comments or feedback against the draft key. If comments are uploaded using the Master Question Paper, it will help the committee to map the candidates comments/queries to the right question.

Mock tests are meant to be taken in the last few weeks leading up to the exam. Note that mock tests are not meant to help candidates master their problem-solving or even time-management skills. In fact, mock tests are held so that the candidate gets an exam like ambience and learn how to navigate the online exam. The candidate will also be able to fix silly or common errors by taking the mock test.

Sampe papers are on the other hand can be considered one of the major bacbones of the UCEED 2024 exam preparation process. By taking enough mock tests, the candidate will be able to develop one’s problem-solving and time-management abilities.

The question paper for UCEED 2024 will be released in downloadable pdf format, along with the answer key. To download the answer key, you simply need to click on the answer key link, and then download it in pdf format. Also, no log-in is required to download the answer key. The candidate needs to remember the following points about Part B question paper of UCEED 2025: Part-B will now include only TWO questions The question for the section will shown on the computer monitor. The candidate after reading the question has to write/ draw the answer option in the answer booklet provided by the invigilator. Part B test will evaluate the drawing ability and Design Aptitude of the candidate. Part B is mandatory and will only be evaluated if the candidate qualifies Part A. The cut-off marks for Part A will be declared by IIT Bombay before declaration of results.
