In the case of a tie in the total index marks computed after integrating the total normalized score of the entrance examination with the total standardized score for the preparation of the engineering rank then:
- The candidate with a higher pre-normalized score in Mathematics in the entrance examination will be placed higher in the ranking.
- If the tie still exists, the candidate with a higher pre-normalized score in Physics of the Entrance Examination will be placed higher in the ranking. If there is still a tie, a candidate with higher standardized marks in Mathematics in the final year of the qualifying examination will be placed higher in the ranking.
- If the tie persists, the candidate with higher standardized marks in Physics in the final year of the qualifying examination will be placed higher in the ranking.
- If the tie is still not resolved, the candidate with correct higher number of responses in Mathematics will be considered. If the tie persists candidate with a correct higher number of responses in Physics will be considered.
- If there is still a tie, the age of the candidate will be considered, and the older will be placed higher in the ranking.
- If the tie remains, the decision of CEE will be final.
