Lakhsay shares a few important last month tips and tricks that will help you score well in the upcoming KCET.
KCET exam is not as hard as JEE Mains but guys don’t untie your shoes now. You have to be focused and have to study smartly in order to grab a seat through KCET. So here in this article, I will give you some tips about how to score high in KCET by preparing in the last month by my own experience.
1.Correct Study Material
As you know, the syllabus for this exam is the same as your 12th exams but you have to understand the structure and pattern of this exam. This exam contains 180 MCQ type questions of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology and you have 210 minutes to solve these MCQs. Therefore, the main thing you should focus on is time management and your speed along with accuracy.
Explore colleges based on KCET
For Physics, you can use Arihant Publications books and NCERT books. These books are more than enough because here in the exam you do not need to go deep into the concepts, the main thing here is your knowledge about the topics with your ability to solve the questions in time.
For Mathematics, you can use NCERT and MCQ by Asit Das Gupta. These books will surely give you ideas about how to solve questions in time.
For Chemistry, I will strongly recommend NCERT books because these books are great for the preparation of Chemistry. If you complete NCERT then you can easily score more than 80% in the Chemistry section for this exam and for further practice, you can use O.P Tandon.
2. Revision Approach/ Study Plan
From my experience, I can strongly say you that right now there is no time to start new topics for the preparation. You should focus on your revision with the help of your notes. Look, in this exam, your time-management skills and your problem-solving ability are the most important things. If you have these qualities then with the help of your knowledge about topics you can easily crack this exam.
I thought that the exam would have some really tough and time-wasting questions but in my exam, my speed of solving questions with accuracy and basic knowledge of topics was tested. So I can recommend you that do not do tough questions only, start doing more and more questions and track your time by using a stopwatch.
3. Self- Evaluation
Mock papers and sample papers will give you an idea about the structure and pattern of KCET. The more you focus on your practice of solving questions, more you increase your chances of clearing this exam. Last year’s papers of KCET are best for preparations and you can also use the sample papers and last year papers of other exams which are similar to KCET like IPU CET, SRMJEEE
So yeah guys, these are the tips to score high by preparing in the last month.
All the best!!!
