JEE Advanced 2025 Dates (OUT): Registration Starts April 23, Exam on May 18, Check Complete Schedule

The application process is online and the form is available only on the official website. As the first step, every student needs to register through the official website by providing their JEE Main 2025 roll number, password, and security pin. As the second step, students have to enter various personal details like their name, parents’ name, communication details, address details etc. in the specific columns of JEE Advanced 2025 application form. The details entered in the application form must be accurate as the incorrect details may lead to the cancellation of candidature at later stages. Students will also need to enter their choices of exam centres while filling out the application form. Apart from the details, students will also need to upload scanned images of their passport-size photographs and signature. After submitting all the details, students must take multiple printouts of the final application form for future requirements

The marking schemes change each year. Negative marks may be awarded for incorrect answers to some of the questions. Details of the marking scheme will be provided in the “Instructions to Candidates” section at the time of examination. JEE (Advanced) 2024 will consist of two question papers: Paper 1 and Paper 2 of three hours duration each. Both papers are compulsory. Each question paper will consist of three separate sections, viz., Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

IIT Kanpur will conduct JEE Advanced 2025 exam in May 2025. The exam is conducted by any one of the 7 IITs namely IIT Kharagpur, IIT Kanpur, IIT Madras, IIT Delhi, IIT Bombay, IIT Guwahati, and IIT Roorkee or Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore, under the aegis of the Joint Admission Board (JAB). The difficulty level of JEE Advanced will completely depend on the preparation of the candidates for the exam. JEE Advanced is known to be difficult. Last year, JEE Advanced witnessed a total number of 1,80,200 candidates appearing in both papers 1 and 2. In the exam, 48,248 candidates have been qualified. This data shows that the exam is a tough nut to crack. Therefore, the preparation should be strong. Aspirants should practice daily, take mocktests, revise all concepts and leave no topics from the JEE Advanced syllabus.

• Contact JEE Advanced Helpdesk: You can contact the JEE Advanced helpdesk to enquire about the status of your registration confirmation email. The contact details of the helpdesk are available on the official JEE Advanced website.
• Re-send confirmation email: Some institutes may provide an option to re-send the confirmation email. You can try this option if it is available.
• Wait for some time: As mentioned earlier, there may be a delay in receiving the confirmation email. Hence, it is recommended to wait for some time before taking any further action. In case you do not receive the confirmation email after waiting for a reasonable amount of time, you can contact the JEE Advanced helpdesk for further assistance.

JEE Advanced will be held for 6 hours in total. There are 2 paper in the exam and each paper is of 3 hours duration. This makes the total time of the exam as 6 hours. The exam pattern varies each year. There are 2 papers in the exam. Paper 1 and Paper 2 of JEE Advanced will comprise three separate sections wherein questions will be asked from Physics Chemistry and Mathematics. JEE Advanced 2025 result will be out on June 2, 2025. Candidates can check and download the JEE Advanced 2025 scorecard under their respective login on jeeadv. ac. in. To Download JEE Advanced 2025 scorecard, candidates have to use 7-digit roll number, date of birth in DD/MM/YYYY format, and the 10-digit phone number that they used while registering for JEE (Advanced). Also, category-wise All India Ranks (AIR) of successful candidates will be available through the JEE Advanced 2025 online portal after the results are declared. Text messages will also be sent to the candidates to their registered mobile numbers. Only those candidates who will secure minimum marks in JEE Advanced 2025, as prescribed by the IITs will be included in the AIR list for JoSAA counselling and IIT admissions. Allotment of seats will be solely based on the category-wise All India Rank in the JEE Advanced 2025.

JEE Advanced counselling is called JoSAA. The candidates who qualify JEE Advanced have to register for JoSAA counselling with their JEE Advanced details. If you have appeared for JEE Mains you can register for JoSAA counselling for NITs, IIITs and GFTIs and if you have appeared for JEE Advanced, then you can apply for JoSAA counselling of IITs provided you fulfil the JEE Mains and advanced criteria respectively. Thereafter, only you have to follow the steps written in JEE Advanced counselling brochure. Now, you can fill in the choice for JoSAA Seat allocation. Just remember one thing your credential should be same as per JEE Advanced admit card.

JEE Advanced counselling is called JoSAA. JoSAA 2025 will be conducted by Joint Seat Allocation Authority and the dates will be announced for the counselling after the JEE Advanced result. There will be 5 rounds of seat allotment. Candidates who are allotted seats in each round of JoSAA 2025 Counselling will be required to choose the options from Freeze, Float or Slide. Candidates who opt Freeze option will be required to complete reporting process between the prescribed deadline. The candidates who are not allotted seats during JoSAA 2025 seat allotment rounds still get a chance to get enrolled in NIT+ system through CSAB counselling 2025. During the counselling of JoSAA, two rounds of mock allotment are held to help candidates make correct choices for the real allotment rounds. The JoSAA 2025 seat allotment result is released in online mode after every round. Candidates are allotted seats according to their merit, preferences and availability of seats. The admission process for admissions in 23 IITs, 31 NITs, 25 IIITs, and 28 Other-Government Funded Technical Institutes (Other-GFTIs) is managed by The Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA).
