College of Engineering is an autonomous engineering college affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University. Established in 1854, it is one of the oldest engineering colleges in Asia. The College of Engineering in Pune has been accredited by the NBA (National Board of Accreditation). It takes in B.Tech lateral entry students and has 8 different streams for engineering. There are also B. Planning and M.Tech across 13 streams. The campus is spread over an area of thirty- seven acres of land. 

2. AIT - Army Institute of Technology

Army Institute of Technology (AIT) is one of the best colleges for engineering in Pune. AIT only gives admission to children of army personnel. Established in 1994 by Gen B.C. Josh set up the college feeling the educational need for it and the disadvantages of the children of the army personnel. It is affiliated to the University of Pune.
