GAT PGT is also called GAT (PG) or GITAM GAT. GAT PGT is an entrance test conducted for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate programmes of Architecture, Basic Sciences, Engineering, Humanities, Law, Management, Nursing, Pharmacy, Paramedical, and Physiotherapy at GITAM university.  

A student is allowed to participate in an GAT exam only once for each course and during a single phase. GITAM considers re-appearing as an unfair practice of submitting duplicate applications. Credentials for re-appearing students will not be provided, and such applications will be filtered at various stages of the admissions process. Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management University (GITAM University) conducts the GAT (PGT) 2025 entrance exam for admissions in courses such as M.Tech and other courses. The candidates can check the page on GITAM University to know more about the institute.

This M.Tech entrance examination GAT (PGT) 2025 will be conducted in online mode i.e. Computer Based Test (CBT) on March 29, 2025. The questions asked in the exam will be objective or Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), each question with four answer choices.

The GAT PGT application fee can be paid online (net banking/credit card/debit card) mode. The application form can be submitted only after the application fee is paid. A total of 100 questions will be asked in GAT wherein 40 questions will be asked from Quantitative Aptitude and 25 questions each from Reasoning and Verbal Ability and 10 questions from English.

In GAT PGT for each correct answer, students will get 2 marks while for each incorrect answer, one mark will be deducted. Since there is negative marking the candidates must be careful while answering. They should read and understand the question thoroughly and then answer it. 

GAT PGT is a 2-hour long exam with all objective type (multiple choice questions) questions. The candidates are expected to complete the exam within the allotted time. They will not be given any extra time to complete the exam. The candidates must practise completing the sample question papers within 2 hours, this will help them complete the actual exam on time. 

The maximum mark for the GAT (PG) is 200. Each question shall carry two marks and for each incorrect answer, one mark will be deducted. Hence, candidates should mark the answer only when they are sure about it.

GITAM GAT admit card can be downloaded by the eligible candidates only. The candidates who have submitted the application form successfully can download the admit card. The admit card can be downloaded from the official website by providing the login credentials. 

The admit card will be available for download a few days prior to the exam date. The exact date of release of admit card is not announced yet. Candidates will be able to download their GAT PGT admit card 2025 by using the login credentials. No candidate will receive the admit card through email, fax and post. 

GAT PGT admit card is available in online mode only. The admit card will not be send by post, it will be available only on the official website. The candidates can enter the login credentials and download the admit card. 

Candidates can carry anyone of the following document along with the admit card - Passport / Driving License / EC voter ID card / IT PAN card / School or College photo bearing ID card / Aadhar Card. The admit card is a mandatory document to be taken to the exam centre.

GAT PGT will be declared in online mode. The candidates must check the official website for the results. The candidates will be called for counselling based on their scores on GAT. The candidates may need to enter their roll number or registration number to access their results. 

GAT PGT result will be released soon after the conclusion of the exam. The date shceduled for GITAM GAT PGT result is March 29, 2025. Candidates who have appeared for the exam can check their results on the website. The university will also issue an notification to candidates via registered email ID. 

Yes, the conducting authority, GITAM conducts a personal interview for the candidates who have qualified the GAT PGT exam. The personal interview and the exam will be conducted on the same itself. The GAT PGT exam will be held on March 29, 2025, followed by a personal interview. The results will also be announced on March 29, 2025. Candidates are advised to check the notifications frequently for the updates regarding GITAM GAT PGT 2025 admission. 

Candidates who will secure the minimum required marks in the GAT PGT exam will be shortlisted and called for counselling. The counselling process for the reserved category will be conducted immediately after the result is out. All the candidates who quality in GAT PGT 2024 will be called for counselling.
