GAT (PGT) 2024 Exam: Dates, Application Form (Phase 4 Application Form Available), Eligibility, Syllabus

GAT PGT is also called GAT (PG) or GITAM GAT. GAT PGT is an entrance test conducted for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate programmes of Architecture, Basic Sciences, Engineering, Humanities, Law, Management, Nursing, Pharmacy, Paramedical, and Physiotherapy at GITAM university.  

A student is allowed to participate in an GAT exam only once for each course and during a single phase. GITAM considers re-appearing as an unfair practice of submitting duplicate applications. Credentials for re-appearing students will not be provided, and such applications will be filtered at various stages of the admissions process. This includes checks such as using the same registered email address multiple times and other parameters

Gandhi Institute of Technology and Management University (GITAM University) conducts the GAT (PGT) 2024 entrance exam for admissions in courses such as M.Tech and other courses. The candidates can check the page on GITAM University to know more about the institute

This M.Tech entrance examination GAT (PGT) 2024 will be conducted in online mode i.e. Computer Based Test (CBT). The questions asked in the exam will be objective or Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), each question with four answer choices.

The GAT PGT application fee can be paid online (net banking/credit card/debit card) mode. The application form can be submitted only after the application fee is paid. The apllication fee has to paid while submiiting the application form. 

GITAM GAT PGT 2024 application form for phase 6 is currently available. The GITAM GAT 2024 application form for cycle 6 will be available till June 14, 2024.  The Cycle 6 exam will be conducted on June 16, 2024. The personal interview was conducted from June 17, 2024, to June 19, 2024. The GITAM GAT Result will be announced on June 17, 2024.

The application process for GAT PGT 2024 involves registration, educational details, personal details and submission of relevant documents along with the submission of scanned copies of the documents. These are a few steps to be kept in mind while applying for GAT.

Following are the subjects included in the GAT PGT syllabus - Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning, Verbal Ability and English. 

A total of 100 questions will be asked in GAT wherein 40 questions will be asked from Quantitative Aptitude and 25 questions each from Reasoning and Verbal Ability and 10 questions from English. 

There is no fix duration to complete the GAT PGT 2024  syllabus. Candidates should start as early as possible to complete the syllabus on time. The candidates can prepare a timetable to be followed to complete the syllabus. The timetable should be followed strictly by the candidate to complete the syllabus and have enough time to revise the topics.

Yes, candidates should study all the topics indicated in the syllabus. And they can refer to the previous years' question papers to know about the trending topics. If is better to learn all the topics included in the syllabus to know the answer for all the questions. 

In GAT PGT for each correct answer, students will get 2 marks while for each incorrect answer, one mark will be deducted. Since there is negative marking the candidates must be careful while answering. They should read and understand the question thoroughly and then answer it. 

GAT PGT is a 2-hour long exam with all objective type (multiple choice questions) questions. The candidates are expected to complete the exam within the allotted time. They will not be given any extra time to complete the exam. The candidates must practise completing the sample question papers within 2 hours, this will help them complete the actual exam on time. 

The maximum mark for the GAT (PG) is 200. Each question shall carry two marks and for each incorrect answer, one mark will be deducted. Hence, candidates should mark the answer only when they are sure about it.

GITAM GAT admit card can be downloaded by the eligible candidates only. The candidates who have submitted the application form successfully can download the admit card. The admit card can be downloaded from the official website by providing the login credentials. 

The admit card will be available for download a few days prior to the exam date. The exact date of release of admit card is not announced yet. Candidates will be able to download their GAT PGT admit card 2024 by using the login credentials. No candidate will receive the admit card through email, fax and post. 

GAT PGT admit card is available in online mode only. The admit card will not be send by post, it will be available only on the official website. The candidates can enter the login credentials and download the admit card. 

Candidates can carry anyone of the following document along with the admit card - Passport / Driving License / EC voter ID card / IT PAN card / School or College photo bearing ID card / Aadhar Card. The admit card is a mandatory document to be taken to the exam centre.

GAT PGT will be declared in online mode. The candidates must check the official website for the results. The candidates will be called for counselling based on their scores on GAT. The candidates may need to enter their roll number or registration number to access their results. 

GAT PGT result will be released soon after the conclusion of the exam. The phase 6 GAT result will be announced on June 17, 2024. The counselling process will begin soon after the results are announced. The candidates can check the official website or this page for the latest updates on the result declaration.

Candidates who will secure the minimum required marks in the GAT PGT exam will be shortlisted and called for counselling. The counselling process for the reserved category will be conducted immediately after the result is out. For the rest of the candidates, counselling will be from after the counselling for reserved counselling. . 

The counselling dates will be announced soon . The counselling for all SC, ST, Divyang and Scholarship candidates will be conducted first. For rest of the applicants, counselling was conducted later.The admission authority of GITAM University organises the counselling. The counselling is organised by the university for admission to undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Architecture, Basic Sciences, Engineering, Humanities, Law, Management, Nursing, Pharmacy, Paramedical, and Physiotherapy. All the candidates who quality in GAT PGT 2024 will be called for counselling.
