It will be conducted for two hours and consisted of 100 questions, including 40 in Mathematics, 20 in English, 20 in Aptitude, 10 in Physics and 10 in Chemistry for admission of students to diploma courses in Engineering and Technology.

The candidate must be a citizen of India and a permanent resident of West Bengal. The candidate must have scored a minimum of 35% in the Class 10th qualifying examination before applying for the entrance examination. Indian nationals are eligible to apply. Candidates seeking for admission to Elitte Institute of Engineering and Management courses must pass Class 10 with minimum 45% aggregate to meet the basic eligibility standards. Those appear for Jexpo exam obtain a valid Jexpo Rank with 35% Marks (with Additional Subject in Class 10.)
