What is KEAM?
The Kerala Engineering, Architecture, and Medical Entrance Exam (KEAM) is a common admission process for admission to various UG courses offered at Kerala's colleges approved by Central and State Regulatory Bodies, Universities, and Government. Office of the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations conducts KEAM. Under KEAM, there is a KEAM entrance test and a KEAM centralised counselling process (CAP). For the UG engineering course and pharmacy course admission candidates have to register for KEAM, appear for KEAM CBT test and appear for CAP.
However, for admission to all other courses that are medical, agriculture, forestry, veterinary, fisheries, and architecture courses; candidates have to register for KEAM and appear in the KEAM centralised counselling process (CAP) with their applicable entrance exam scores (like NEET and NATA) for admission to participating colleges.

What is New in KEAM 2025?
Last year some major changes were introduced in the KEAM exam, and the same will be applicable this year too. The changes made to KEAM last year are given below:
- Offline mode to CBT mode: KEAM exam transformed from an offline pen-and-paper test to a computer-based test.Â
- Exam in shifts: The exam will be conducted in phases, as it would not be possible to arrange over 1.2 lakh computer terminals at the same time.
- Normalisation of scores: There will be normalisation of scores for engineering and pharmacy exams.
- Mock tests: Candidates will be able to practice mock tests on entering the exam hall for 15 minutes before the actual exam starts.
- Effective post-exam activities: The post-examination process will take less time like answer key release and result declaration. Until last year over three to four weeks were required to scan the OMR sheets. Once the exam becomes computer-based, evaluation becomes faster with the scores being made available to the candidates in the shortest time.

KEAM 2025 result are published as rank lists. KEAM rank lists are published by the CEE separately for all courses - Engineering Courses, Architecture Course, Medical and Medical Allied courses (except BAMS), BAMS Course, and BPharm Course.
KEAM 2025 Rank List for Engineering
KEAM Engineering and Pharmacy Entrance Examinations 2025 is conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode; hence it is required to conduct the examinations on multiple days. Each session will have a separate set of questions. To ensure that candidates are neither benefitted nor disadvantaged due to the examinations in multiple sessions, the Normalisation procedure is adopted. The total score of the Entrance Examination out of 300 is normalized. The procedure for Normalisation has been approved by the Normalisation Committee. The Index Mark after Normalisation will be 300.Â
- An equal weightage of 50:50 shall be given to the normalised score obtained in the KEAM Engineering exam and the grade/marks obtained in the final year of the qualifying examination for Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry put together, after effecting the standardization procedure.
- In case, the candidate has not studied Chemistry, the marks obtained in Computer Science shall be considered. In case, the candidate has not studied Chemistry and Computer Science, the marks obtained in Biotechnology shall be considered. In case, the candidate has not studied Chemistry, Computer Science and Biotechnology, the marks obtained in Biology shall be considered.
- The final year marks of the qualifying examination of each subject Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry/Computer Science/Biotechnology/Biology of the students who have passed the subject, received from the respective Boards, shall be transformed out of 100. The marks of the three subjects shall be computed out of 300 after effecting standardization in each subject.
- The normalized score obtained by the candidate in the Engineering Entrance Examination shall be computed out of 300 and added to the total standardized marks of Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry/Computer Science/Biotechnology/Biology as the case may be, of the final year of the Qualifying Examination, computed out of 300, both corrected to four places of decimals. The rank list for Engineering Courses shall be prepared based on the total marks obtained out of an Index mark of 600, computed as above.
KEAM 2025 Rank List for BPharm
The rank list for Admission to the BPharm Course will be prepared on the basis of index marks calculated as follows:
- The raw score of Chemistry obtained from the Kerala Engineering Entrance Examination will be multiplied by 2.25 and added to the Physics raw score obtained from the Kerala Engineering Entrance Examination.
- The sum so obtained will be multiplied by a factor 2/3 to calculate the index mark. The so obtained index score will be normalized (as per the normalization procedure for ranking the candidates for the BPharm course. The maximum index score will be 300.Â
KEAM Rank List 2025 for Medical & Allied and Ayurveda
To qualify and thereby become eligible to be included in the KEAM 2025 rank list for MBBS/BDS/BAMS/BHMS/BSMS/BUMS courses, it shall be necessary for a candidate to obtain a minimum 50th percentile in NEET (UG) 2025. However, for SC/ST/SEBC, the minimum marks shall be 40th percentile. For candidates in the Persons with Disability category, the minimum marks shall be 45th percentile for the unreserved category and 40th percentile for the SC/ST/SEBC category.
KEAM Rank List for Architecture
