MHT CET 2024 Counselling: The Maharashtra CET Cell has announced the MHT CET CAP round 3 seat allotment result. Candidates have to login to the MHT CET website fe2024.mahacet.org and check their seat allotment results. Candidates had to confirm their seat by paying admission fees by September 9, 2024. 

The MHT CET 2024 CAP round 2 seat allotment has been announced. Candidates can check their seat allotment result using the direct link given below or from MHT CET website fe2024.mahacet.org. Candidates allotted a seat in MHT CET CAP round 2 counselling had to pay the admission fee and confirm admission from August 27 to 29, 2024. The CET Cell released the MHT CET CAP 2024 round 1 seat allotment on August 14, 2024. Candidates can check their seat allotment status by login to the MHT CET website fe2024.mahacet.org. The direct link to check MHT CET 2024 CAP round 1 seat allotment using the direct link given below. 

The MHT CET Final Merit list has also been released. Candidates can check the merit list PDF using the direct link given on this page or from the website cetcell.mahacet.org.  There will be 3 rounds in MHT CET counselling and seat allotment process. To participate in the MHT CET counselling, candidates had to register online at the counseling portal, upload scanned documents and pay the required counselling fee. The allotment of seats will be based on position in the MHT CET merit list 2024Candidates who will be allotted seats have to confirm their admission online by paying the seat confirmation fees and reporting to the allotted institute. MHT CET 2024 Seat Allotment

The CAP round 3 seat allotment result was announced on September 5, 2024. MHT CET seat allotment result for round 2 was announced on August 26, 2024. The round 1 seat allotment result has also been announced online on the website. Candidates can check their MHT CET CAP round 1 seat allotment using the direct link given below. The seat allotment is done online based on the ranks acquired by students in the merit list and students' preferences and availability of seats. The MHT CET merit list will be released online. Candidates who will be allotted seats need to report at their allotted institute for confirmation of seats. They also need to pay the tuition fees to confirm admission.

MHT CET 2024 Choice Filling

The web options entry for the CAP round 3 was open from August 31 to September 2, 2024. Candidates can fill their choices online from the website. The option entry for round 2 MHT CET 2024 counselling was open from August 20 to 22, 2024. The candidates had to fill out their round 2 choice of colleges and courses online until August 22, 2024. The selection of choices has to be done in the order of preference. Since the allotment of seats was done based on the choice-filling process, the candidates are advised to fill out the option form carefully.

MHT CET Merit List 2024

The counselling authority has released the MHT CET final merit list 2024.  The provisional merit list was released on August 3 and the challenge facility was open from August 4 to 6, 2024. The final MHT CET merit list can be checked from the below table. The allotment of seats is based on candidates' rank in the MHT CET merit list.

MHT CET Counselling 2024 Documents required

Candidates will require the upload the below-listed documents at the time of counselling registration to participate in the counselling

  • 10th Standard Pass Certificate & Mark Sheet

MHT CET 2024 Counselling Process

The complete MHT CET counselling process is online. Candidates can check all the steps involved in the MHT CET 2024 counselling below which includes:

Step 1: Registration- The first step is to register on the official website and submit your personal, communication and security details. After filling in all the details, a password needs to be generated. Once the password is generated, other remaining details need to be filled in.

After entering the above details, aspirants need to register their qualification details (subject-wise and overall marks in 10th and 12th standard along with the name of the board) and examination details.

Step 2: Uploading Scanned Documents- At this step, aspirants will have to upload their scanned documents, photograph and signature of file size 4KB to 100KB and dimensions 3.5*4.5cm and 1KB to 30KB and 3.5*1.5cm respectively.

Step 3: Payment of Counselling Fees- Lastly, aspirants will be required to pay the counselling fees online basis their category.

  • General Category, Outside Maharashtra State Applicant and Children of Indian workers in Gulf Countries: Rs 800 (Tentative)
  • Reserved Category from Maharashtra State and Persons with Disability applicants from Maharashtra would be: Rs 600 (Tentative)
  • Children of NRI / OCI / PIO, Foreign National: Rs. 5000

Step 4: Release of Merit List- The admission committee will release MHT CET merit list based on class 12 and CET marks in a 50:50 ratio. Candidates will also be allowed to raise objections in the merit list is they come-up with any issue related to position in the merit list.\

Step 5: Choice Filling- Candidates will have to fill choices of their preferred college and branch (specialization). The allotment of seats in the college will be based on their marks in the merit list.

MHT CET 2024 Counselling Reservation Policy

Only the candidates belonging to Maharashtra will be eligible for reservation in the MHT CTE 2024 counselling process. The seats available in engineering/pharmacy courses in various colleges across the state will be filled as per the reservation policy of the state government. These reservations are only applicable for MHT CET 2024 Centralized Admission Process (CAP). The division of seats across various categories are as below

Q:   How many rounds are there in MHT CET counselling?

A:

The Maharashtra Common Entrance Test Cell will conduct at total of three rounds counselling and seat allotment process. The exact schedule with the number of rounds will be announced soon on the official website mahacet.org. Currently, the MHT CET counselling registration is open from June 24 to July 3.

Q:   Where can I check the round-wise cutoff for all rounds of MHT CET counseling?

A:

The round-wise cutoff ranks for MHT CET counselling can be checked on the MHT CET portal at mahacet.org. The Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test Cell is the organizing body of MHT CET counselling. The cutoff for each round for all the participating institutes and branch/specializations are made available on the MHT CET portal. Candidates can also check MHT CET cutoff for all participating colleges on the Shiksha page.

Q:   I have not appeared in MHT CET. Can I register for the counselling?

A:

Candidates who have not applied/appeared in MHT CET 2024 can participate in the counselling on the basis of their JEE Main 2024 score. Candidates not having MHT CET or JEE Main score can also participate in the counselling based on their class 12 marks.

Q:   What is the process to accept the allotted seat in MHT CET counseling?

A:

Once a candidate is allotted a seat, he/she need to login to the MHT CET candidate portal and chose the “Accept and Freeze” option. After the option is selected, candidate will be issued a provisional seat allotment letter with details of college and branch with details of seat confirmation fee to be paid. Candidate will need to pay the fees online through credit/debit card or internet banking. Once the fee payment is done, the seat allotment will be confirmed.

Q:   Do I need to pay any fees once seat is allotted in MHT CET counselling?

A:

Candidates will need to pay a certain amount of fees once the provisional seat allotment is made. The details of fees to be paid will be mentioned in the provisional seat allotment letter. Once the candidates pay the required fees, the seat allotted to the candidate will be confirmed and final allotment letter will be issued. The amount of fees will vary for various category of candidates.

Q:   Can I still participate in MHT CET counselling if I do not accept the seat allotted to me?

A:

The process of MHT CET counselling and seat allotment consists of several processes. Once a seat is allotted to a candidate, he/she has the option of “Accept and Freeze” and “Accept and Float”. If a candidate is satisfied with the allotted seat and selects the first option, he/she cannot participate in the next round counselling. If the candidate is not satisfied with the allotted seat, he/she can select the second option trough which he/she can participate in the next round counselling with the current seat.

Q:   Is there any mock seat allotment in MHT CET counselling?

A:

MHT CET counselling do have the provision of mock seat allotment. MHT CET Cell will conduct a total of two rounds mock seat allotment where candidates can check which college they get based on the choice filled by them. Candidates after registering for the counselling have to enter their preferred choice of college and branch in the order of preference. The allotment of seats will be made on the basis of All India Rank and choices filled by the candidate.

Q:   What documents are required to participate in MHT CET counseling?

A:

To participate in the MHT CET counselling, candidates will need to upload the following documents at the time of registration.

  • Class 10 Pass Certificate & Mark Sheet
  • Class 12 Pass Certificate & Mark Sheet
  • Copy of MHT CET Result/Scorecard
  • Character Certificate
  • Migration Certificate
  • Category Certificate (if applicable)

The original copy of all the above listed documents will have to be uploaded while filling the counselling registration form and also have to be submitted to the institute for verification at the time of admission to the allotted institute.

The schedule of MHT CET counselling registration has been announced on the official website. As per the information available on the website, counselling registration has started on June 24. The last date to register for the MHT CET 2023 counselling is July 3.

Q:   What is the fee to participate in MHT CET counselling?

A:

There is no fees for MHT CET counselling registration. Candidates can register and participate in the counselling without any fees. However, candidates need to pay the seat confirmation fees once the seat is allotted to them.
