AFCAT Application Form 2025 (OUT): Apply Online for AFCAT 1 Exam

AFCAT 1 application form 2025 was released on December 2, 2024. AFCAT 2 application form 2025 will be released in May 2025. Both male and female candidates are eligible to apply for AFCAT exam. AFCAT application form are required to be filled online. The steps to fill AFCAT application form are given below:

• Go to the 'AFCAT exam cycle' from the 'Candidate Login'
• Register for the exam by entering the required details
• Select the course preference
• Enter the source of advertisement
• Enter communication details, upload documents, sign the declaration, select the exam city, etc.
• Pay the examination fees
• Submit the application form

AFCAT 2 application form 2025 will be released in June 2025. The application form will be released online. The application fee is INR 250 across all categories. Candidates need to complete all the steps of registration successfully or else their applications will get rejected. The admit card is issued to candidates whose applications are accepted by the examination authority.

Candidates can apply online for AFCAT exam. After successful registration, sign in with registered email id and system generated password. Then reset your password. Log in again and click on AFCAT entry and proceed. After successful payment action, the applicants are advised to note down their Registration Number for future reference. Candidates need to apply online for AFCAT exam only. There is no facility to apply offline. The link to fill the application form is activated on the official website. To apply for AFCAT exam, candidates are first required to register for the exam. The window to edit the application form is made available after the closure of application process.

No cash/cheque/demand draft is accepted for AFCAT fee payment. Candidates are required to pay the application fees online only. The application fee can be paid through the 'Make Payment' step on the main menu of the online application. The examination fee can be paid using credit/ debit cards/ net banking through the payment gateway. The steps to pay the application fees for AFCAT exam are given below:

• After registering, they can fill their AFCAT application form
• Once they submit the application form of AFCAT, candidates are directed to the payment page

AFCAT application form is released online on the official website. The application fee which is INR 550 with GST charges for all categories and can be paid online. The window to correct the details in AFCAT application form is made available few days after the closure of the application process. Candidates can use the correction window to edit details such as Candidate's name, Father's name, Passport Size Photo, Signature, Thumb Impression. No other fields are editable. No extra fee is charged to make the changes in the application form. The facility for editing the application form can be done by candidates who register successfully and pay the application fee.

The online correction window for AFCAT is made available by IAF after the application process closes. Only two sections are editable, 'Fill Application Form' and 'Upload Document'. Using the correction window, candidates can edit the details such as Candidate's name, Father's name, Passport Size Photo, Signature, Thumb Impression. No other fields are editable. No extra fee is charged to make the changes in the application form. The facility for editing the application form can be done by candidates who register successfully and pay the application fee. Therefore, you can correct the photograph and not DOB. The admit card is issued to candidates based on the information provided by candidates in the application form. To download the admit card, candidates need to enter the required details.

Once the payment process is successful, the system displays the AFCAT registration number. This means that the payment is successful. Candidates must verify the correction of information entered in the application form before proceeding with the 'Make Payment' option. Applicants will not be able to edit the previous details entered after the selection of 'Course Preferences' step and after the 'Make Payment' step. No cash or cheque or demand draft (DD) is accepted towards payment of examination fee. The examination fee can be paid using credit/ debit cards/ net banking through the payment gateway. Applicants are advised to follow the instructions/ steps given on the payment gateway, and also print/keep the transaction details for their records. After confirmation from bank that the payment is received, the 'Payment Status' display 'Registration Number' which the candidate may note down for future correspondence. Simultaneously, candidates also receive a confirmatory sms/ e-mail.

The eligibility criteria to appear for AFCAT is that a candidate must have passed Class 12 with Mathematics and Physics with minimum 50 per cent marks individually. And must have passed three year Bachelor's Degree or four year BE/B Tech (Four Year Course) from a recognised university with minimum 60 per cent marks or equivalent. The educational qualification vary as per the branch candidates apply for.

The stipend offered to men and women cadets during the entire duration of training at any of the Air Force Training Institutions is INR 56,100 per month (Starting pay in Level 10). On successful completion of the training, the AFCAT salary of candidates in the pay matrix of Commissioned Officers will be fixed in the first cell of Level 10.

In addition to AFCAT salary, Air Force Officers are entitled to various allowances based on the nature of duty/place of posting. The allowances that Air Force Officers are entitled to include Flying Allowance offered to Flying Branch Officers, Technical Allowance given to Technical Branch Officers. Candidates are also entitled to allowances such as Test Pilot & Flight Test Engineer, Field Area Allowance, Special Force, Siachen, Special Compensatory (Hill area), Island Special Duty, Area, and Remote Locality Allowance.
