APSET Results 2024 (Out): Scorecard Download Link, Merit List PDF

In the APSET exam, 6 per cent of candidates who have cleared both papers are declared qualified for the eligibility for Assistant Professor/Lecturership. Candidates who have secured at least 40 per cent marks (General Category) and 35 per cent marks (reserved categories) in both papers combined together are declared qualified in the exam for Assistant Professor/Lecturership.  

No, there is no negative marking in the APSET exam. In the APSET exam, Paper 1 and Paper 2 combinedly contain 150 objective-type multiple-choice questions (MCQs). Paper 1 comprises 50 questions of 100 marks and Paper 2 comprises 100 MCQs of 200 marks. Each question is of 2 marks. However, there is no negative marking for wrong answers or unattempted questions in the APSET exam. 

After the declaration of the APSET result, candidates who have qualified the exam are issued the certificate of eligibility. For obtaining the eligibility certificate, candidates need to appear for the APSET certificate vertification. After obtaining the APSET certificate, candidates can apply for the post of Assistant Professor/ Lectureship in colleges and universities of Andhra Pradesh.

The APSET validity is for a lifetime. Candidates who clear the APSET exam and obtain the certificate can apply for the post of Lecturers/ Assistant Professors in universities and colleges of Andhra Pradesh anytime in their life. However, candidates should fulfill the eligibility criteria in terms of age limit prescribed by the respective recruiting body for Lecturers/ Assistant Professors.

The Andhra Pradesh State Eligibility Test (APSET) is conducted to determine the eligibility of candidates for Assistant Professors or Lecturers in the colleges and universities of Andhra Pradesh. The APSET exam is conducted in 30 subjects. There is no limit on number of attempts in the APSET exam. However, candidates need to fulfill the APSET eligibility criteria to appear for the exam.

The APSET exam consists of two papers to be attempted in three hours. The marking scheme of the APSET is as follows:

1. Paper one, which is general paper, consists of 50 questions.
2. Each question on this paper is worth two marks.
3. The maximum mark in this paper is 100.
4. Paper two is the subject paper, which consists of 100 questions.
5. The questions in this paper are also worth two marks each.
6. The maximum score on Paper 2 of the APSET is 200.
7. There is no negative marking for any wrong answer in this exam.

Yes you can appear for the APSET exam again If you fail to clear the exam. There is no limit on the number of attempts in the APSET examination. Candidates who have already cleared the APSET exam and still want to improve their scores can also reappear for the exam.
