CTET Exam Centres 2024: Candidates are required to appear for the CTET exam 2024 at the exam centre allotted by the board. Candidates get to know about the allotted CTET exam centre 2024 through their respective admit cards. The CTET admit card 2024 was released on December 12, 2024, informing candidates about the exact name and address of the exam centre. The CTET exam centre 2024 download link is shared below. Earlier, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) released the CTET exam centre city 2024 link on December 3, 2024. Registered candidates can download the CTET pre-admit card 2024 to know their respective exam city for the CTET Dec 2024 exam.

Candidates needed to make choices of exam centre city in their CTET online forms. Candidates were required to choose four exam centre cities in order of their preferences while submitting the CTET application form 2024. It may be noted here that the CBSE does not entertain any request for a change of centre later under any circumstances. The CBSE allots the CTET exam centre based on preferences chosen by the candidates in their online applications.

Q:   How can I check my CTET exam centre?

A:

The CTET exam centres cities list is released by the CBSE in the official notification of the exam at ctet.nic.in. However, the exact CTET exam centre is intimated to candidates through their admit cards. Candidates can check the name and address of the CTET exam centre allotted to them by downloading their admit cards. Candidates need to follow the given steps to check CTET exam centre:

  • Visit the official website- ctet.nic.in
  • Click on the 'Download Admit Card for CTET 2024' link.
  • Enter the login details.
  • Download the CTET exam centre slip.

Q:   How can I check CTET exam city and date?

A:

Candidates can check the CTET exam city and date by downloading their pre-admit cards. The CBSE releases the CTET pre-admit card around 10 days before the exam. Candidates can access the CTET 2024 pre-admit card or exam city intimation slip by entering their application number and date of birth when it becomes available on the portal. On the other hand, the CTET admit card is released two days before the exam on the official website of the exam - ctet.nic.in informing the candidates about the allotted exam centre.

Q:   Can I change my CTET exam centre?

A:
No, candidates are not allowed to change their preferences of CTET exam centres after the final submission of the CTET application form. However, the CBSE provides a one-time facility of CTET application correction to candidates wherein they can modify their exam city preferences. However, no request of exam city modification is entertained after the closing of application correction facility.

A:
Candidates are not allowed to carry the following items inside the exam centres: Stationery item like textual material (printed or written), bits of papers, Geometry/Pencil Box, Plastic Pouch, Calculator, Scale, Writing Pad, Pen drives, Eraser, Calculator, Log Table, Electronic Pen/scanner, Cardboard etc. Mobile phones, Bluetooth, Earphones, Microphone, Pager, Health band etc. Watch/Wrist watch Wallet, goggles, handbags, Gold/artificial ornaments etc.

Q:   Which documents do I need to carry to the CTET exam centre?

A:
You need to carry your CTET admit card to the exam centre along with a photo ID proof and passport size photo. The photo ID proof can be PAN card or Voter ID card or Passport or Driving License or Aadhaar Card. If a candidate forgets to carry his or her admit card and ID proof to the CTET exam centre, he or she will not be allowed to enter the centre. Candidates are required to download their admit cards, take a print out of it and carry it to the exam centre.

Yes, you need to carry the original photo-ID proof along with CTET admit card to the exam centre. Without the photo ID proof, you will not be allowed to enter the centre. Candidates can carry any of the following photo ID proof to the CTET exam centre:

CTET Exam Centres 2024: Important Instructions while making choice

Candidates need to choose the CTET exam centres cities at the time of filling out the CTET application form. Have a look at the important points to note:

  • CTET 2024 exam centres are allotted on a first-come-firts-served basis.
  • Candidates can make changes in their choice of CTET exam centres during the application form correction facility provided by the CBSE.
  • Once the CTET exam centre correction link is closed, none of the queries are entertained.
  • CTET exam centre allocation is intimated through the admit card.
  • The CTET test centre name, location, and important instruction details are also mentioned on CTET admit card 2024.
  • It is important to note that if CBSE finds that the total number of candidates is less at a particular exam centre in the city, then they might not conduct the exam at that particular exam centre. In this case, CBSE will allocate the exam centre in the city that was chosen as the second, third, or fourth choice by the candidate.

Q:   How many CTET exam cities can I choose?

A:
Candidates can choose a total of four CTET exam cities for the exam while filling the application form. The CBSE takes into account the first preference of exam centre city chosen by the candidates in the online application form. However, in case of unavailability the first preference, the CBSE allots any exam centre.

Candidates must reach the CTET exam centre as per the reporting time mentioned on their admit cards to avoid any delay. Candidates have to report to the examination centre 120 minutes before the start of the CTET examination. Candidates are not allowed to carry the items mentioned below inside the exam centres:

  •  Any stationery item like textual material (printed or written), bits of papers, Geometry/Pencil Box, Plastic Pouch, Calculator, Scale, Writing Pad, Pen drives, Eraser, Calculator, Log Table, Electronic Pen/scanner, Cardboard etc.
  • Any communication devices like Mobile phones, Bluetooth, Earphones, Microphone, Pager, Health band etc.
  • Any Watch/Wrist watch, wallet, goggles, handbags, Gold/artificial ornaments etc.
  • Any other item which could be used for unfair means and for hiding communication devices/gadgets like Camera, Bluetooth device etc.

In case the number of candidates in any of the notified City is very less for running the Examination Centre, the Board at its discretion may not conduct the Examination in that City and the Candidate who opted that city as 1st Choice may be allotted Examination Centre in other city opted as 2nd, 3rd or 4th choice”.

Q:   What if I forget to carry the CTET admit card to the exam centre?

A:
In such a case, you can download and take a printout of the CTET admit card again from a nearby cyber cafe. It may be noted that candidates who forget to carry the printout of their admit cards will not be allowed to enter the CTET exam centre or take the exam. The CTET admit card is an important document that carries details regarding the exam. Candidates need to carry their admit cards along with one photo ID proof to the exam centre.

Q:   In how many shifts the CTET exam is conducted?

A:
CTET exam is conducted in two shifts. The Shift 1 is from 9.30 am to 12:00 noon and shift 2 is from 2.30-5:00 pm. Each shift is of 2 hours 30 minutes duration. The exam is conducted in two shifts of each CTET exam date. Candidates giving the CTET exam need to appear at the allotted exam centre at the prescribed shift timing.

Q:   Can I carry a water bottle to the CTET exam centre?
