LIC AAO 2025: Recruitment Notification, Application, Exam Date, Eligibility & Vacancy

LIC AAO is the most important functionary in the LIC office as all the business of the office requires his/her approval. The post provides a lucrative salary and other allowances. This is the reason that a large number of candidates fill out the application for the exam. The Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) is the largest life insurance company in India. It has offices across the nation and always requires manpower for its ever-expanding insurance business. To maintain the momentum of the business and create valuable products through customer feedback channels, LIC recruits the Assistant Administrative Officer (AAO) through the LIC AAO exam every year.

The LIC AAO recruitment 2025 will begin soon. The Life Insurance Corporation will invite online applications from eligible Indian Citizens for the post of Assistant Administrative Officer. Candidates who want to be recruited as AAO officers in the LIC need to apply through onine mode only. The LIC AAO 2025 recruitment notification will contain the total number of vacancies to be filled against each post of the AAO such as - 

• AAO Generalist
• AAO IT
• AAO Chartered Accountant
• AAO Actuarial
• AAO Rajbhasha

Candidates must ensure that they fulfil all the LIC AAO eligibility criteria 2025 before applying for the exam. The eligibility conditions are the minimum conditions that need to be achieved by the candidates to be eligible to appear for the LIC AAO exam. LIC AAO Age Limit 2025

Candidate must have attained the age of 21 and must not exceed the age of 30 years. Following age relaxation is provided to the reserved category candidates:

LIC AAO Eligibility 2025: Educational Qualifications

Since there are functionally different positions notified under the umbrella exam of LIC AAO, the educational qualifications required for all the posts are different. The required post-wise LIC AAO educational qualifications are given below:

A. For AAO (Generalist): Graduation degree in any discipline.

B. For AAO (IT): Bachelor's degree in Engineering in Computer Science, IT or Electronics, or an MCA, or an MSc (Computer Science).

C. For AAO (Chartered Accountant): Bachelor’s degree from a recognised Indian University/Institution and candidate should have passed the final examination of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and completed articles as presented by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

The candidate should be an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. Candidates need to provide their membership number and it will be verified with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

D. For AAO (Actuarial): Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized Indian University/Institution and candidates should have compulsorily passed papers CT1 and CT5 plus four or more other papers of the examination conducted by the Institute of Actuaries of India/Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, UK (Total six or more papers) as on the date of eligibility.

Candidates should provide their membership number and the same will be verified with the Institute of Actuaries of India / Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, UK. 

E. For AAO (Rajbhasha): Master’s degree in Hindi/Hindi translation with English as one of the subjects at the Bachelor’s degree level 
or
Post Graduate Master’s degree in English with Hindi as one of the subjects at the Bachelor’s degree level
or
Post Graduate Master’s degree in Sanskrit with English and Hindi as subjects at Bachelor’s degree level.

The LIC AAO exam is conducted in three stages. Following are the stages in the LIC AAO exam:

• Preliminary Examination
• Main Exam
• Interview

The selection process comprises the following steps:

LIC AAO Notification

The notification marks the beginning of the LIC recruitment process. LIC AAO notification is the most important document as it provides all the information regarding the important dates, eligibility criteria, age limit, exam centres and the likes. The candidates must read the official notification to get all the important details before filling the application form.

LIC AAO Application Form

LIC Application link is activated after the release of notification. The candidates need to register on the official website and after registration, they can fill the application form. The candidates need to submit the application fee (according to their category) and submit the form.

LIC AAO Admit Card

LIC AAO Admit Card is released to all the registered candidates whose applications were accepted by the exam conducting authority. As per the notification, it is released ten days before the exam date.

LIC AAO Prelims Exam

LIC AAO Exam is conducted online as the Computer Base Test (CBT). The exam is conducted at the national level at the designated exam centres. The candidates need to reach the exam centre one hour before the exam begins and follow all the instructions provided with the admit card.

LIC AAO Result

LIC AAO Result is declared after the evaluation of all the exam copies. The LIC AAO Result is declared separately for each stage of the exam. 

LIC AAO Main Exam

The candidates who qualify for the prelims exam are called for the LIC AAO Main Exam. It comprises two parts - objective and descriptive paper. Descriptive papers of only those candidates will be evaluated who qualify in the objective paper of the main examination.

LIC AAO Interview

The candidates who clear the main exam are called for the interview. The interviews are conducted at the designated offices of LIC. Along with the interview, the document verification process is also carried out.

LIC AAO Result

After the interview, LIC releases the final result and call the candidates appointment.

LIC AAO vacancy 2025 list will be released in the official notification. The post-wise and category-wise LIC AAO vacancies will be given in the notification. However, the total number of LIC AAO vacancies and the reserved vacancies notified in the notification are provisional and can vary according to the actual requirements of the LIC. It is important to note that the candidate could apply for one post only. In case, the candidate applied for more than one post, his or her application will be rejected.

LIC AAO exam is around the corner and the candidates should smartly prepare for the LIC AAO exam 2024. Quantitative Aptitude and Reasoning are two important topics that need to be prepared fully. The candidates should every sub-topic assigned under these two and should practice more and more with the previous year's papers and mock tests.

The candidates who clear the LIC AAO exam will be appointed as probationers for one year. This period can be extended to two years based on the performance of the candidate. Before joining as a Probationer in the LIC, the candidate needs to furnish a guarantee bond of Rs five lakh.
