LIC AAO recruitment 2020 was commenced with the official notification released by the Life Insurance Corporation (LIC). The LIC AAO recruitment is done to recruit the candidates for the specialist and generalist officers. The LIC AAO recruitment process comprises a three-stage selection process.

LIC AAO recruitment is done for the number of vacancies notified in the LIC AAO notification. The number of vacancies is a great motivation factor for the candidates and it also has an influence on the final cut-off. The candidates need to check their LIC AAO eligibility as per the latest notification so they can fill the LIC AAO application form with no doubt.

LIC AAO recruitment is a quick process of around six-eight months. The three-stage of examination takes place at the time interval of 3 months and the result is also announced very swiftly by LIC. The components of the LIC AAO recruitment include the following.

LIC AAO Eligibility

LIC defines the LIC AAO eligibility criteria in the official notification 2020. The LIC AAO exam is a specialist and generalist exam and the eligibility is defined separately for each post. The LIC AAO eligibility is defined as follows.

Post

Essential Education Qualification required

AAO (Chartered Accountant)

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized Indian University/Institution and Candidates should have passed Final Examination of Institute of Chartered Accountant and completion of Articles as presented by Institute of Chartered Accountant.
  • The candidate should be Associate member of Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
  • Candidates should provide their membership number and the same will be verified with Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

For AAO (Actuarial)

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized Indian University/Institution and Candidates should have compulsorily passed 6 or more papers of the examination conducted by the Institute of Actuaries of India / Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, UK as on the date of eligibility i.e. 1st February, 2020.
  • Candidates should provide their membership number and the same will be verified with Institute of Actuaries of India / Institute and Faculty of Actuaries, UK.

For AAO (Legal)

Bachelor’s degree in Law or LLM from a recognized Indian University/Institution. Three years of Bar experience is essential

For AAO (Rajbhasha)

 

1. Post Graduate Master’s Degree in Hindi/Hindi

translation with English as one of the subjects at Bachelor’s Degree level

OR

2. Post Graduate Master’s Degree in English with Hindi as one of the subjects at Bachelor’s degree level

OR

3. Post Graduate Master’s Degree in Sanskrit with English and Hindi as subjects at Bachelor’s degree level.

For AAO (IT)

 

Graduation degree in Engineering (Computer Science, IT or Electronics)

or

MCA or MSC (Computer Science) from a recognized Indian University/ Institution.

LIC AAO Vacancies

LIC AAO recruitment is done every year to absorb the candidates in various specialist and generalist posts. The number of vacancies varies each year. This year also the number of vacancies are as follows

LIC AAO Selection Process

The LIC AAO exam is a three-stage exam and each stage is mandatory to appear and qualify. The candidates need to appear in the exam and need to score equal to or greater than LIC AAO cut-off to qualify the exam. The LIC AAO selection process includes the following.

  • Prelims Exam
  • Main Exam
  • Interview

Being an officer grade job, the interview is conducted in the LIC AAO exam.

The LIC AAO exam is conducted in a notified pattern. The candidates need to internalise the exam pattern and syllabus of the LIC AAO exam. The clear understanding of the LIC AAO exam will help them to prepare better.

LIC AAO Syllabus

The LIC AAO syllabus is notified in the official notification. Most of the topics given in the LIC AAO prelims syllabus are common in the main exam as well. So the candidates are suggested to take an integrated approach for the whole syllabus.
