NABARD Grade A Salary
The initial basic NABARD Grade A salary is INR 28,150 per month. The pay scale is INR 28,150-1550(4 years)-34350-1750(7years)-46600 - EB-1750 (4 years) - 53600-2000(1 year)-55600. The first increment offered to candidates is 1550 and it continues for four years. With the basic pay of INR 44,850, an increment of INR 1750 is given for the next seven years and so on. This makes the maximum average basic pay of NABARD Grade A INR 55,600. At present, initial monthly gross emoluments are approximately INR 70,000.
NABARD Grade A Salary Structure
The starting basic NABARD Grade A salary is INR 28,150. Candidates are also eligible for Dearness Allowance, Local Compensatory Allowance, House Rent Allowance, and Grade Allowance. NABARD Grade A salary structure is given below:

NABARD Grade A Salary: Perquisites
- The accommodation of the bank is subject to availability, reimbursement of expenses for maintenance of vehicle for official purpose, newspaper, internet, telephone charges, book grant, and allowance for furnishing of residence, etc.
- Free dispensary facility besides reimbursement of medical expenses for OPD treatment/hospitalisation as per eligibility will be provided to the candidates.
- Interest-free festival advance, Leave Travel Concession (once in two years for self, spouse and eligible dependents), Loans and Advances at concessional rates of interest for housing, car, education of children, consumer articles and personal computer, etc are provided to candidates.
- Candidates are governed by the defined contribution to the New Pension Scheme (NPS) in addition to the benefits of gratuity and optional group term insurance plan.
- At certain centres, limited number of residential quarters are available. The facility for securing residential accommodation on lease, however, exists at all centres.
Training period of candidates
Initially, after selection, candidates will be on probation for a period of 2 years. The bank at its discretion may extend the probation period of candidates for one year. Selected candidates are eligible to be posted and transferred anywhere in India.
NABARD Grade A: Job requirements
The job responsibility for P&SS and RDBS are given below:
P&SS
- Watch and ward arrangements as to internal security, passages, entry and exit points
- Surveillance through CCTV, monitoring and recording, etc. in the office
- Protocol duties
- Maintenance/Security of bank’s properties
- Control over the staff deployed for the purpose
RDBS
- Selected candidates report to the Chief General Manager of the regional office
- As an Assistant Manager, candidates are allotted to any department
- Candidates are required to work on various policies and programs mandated by Central/State Governments related to Agricultural & Rural Development.
- Candidates deal with the policy issues of various programs of Central/State Governments and projects relating to Agriculture as well as Rural Development
- Candidates look after development, planning and act as a regulatory body of regional rural bank (RRB) branches and credit cooperative branches
- Assigned to draw up a development plan and prepare potential linked credit plan
- Advise the district administration for development initiatives
- Coordinate with commercial banks and RRBs on subsidy

Provision of expert views, advisory services, consultancy, etc. to individual entrepreneurs, Corporates, institutions, Government Departments etc. seeking such advice. This may be in contexts of preparation of DPRs, standardisation of techno-financial norms with specific reference to new agri-business ventures such as high-value agriculture, value chain financing, processing and value addition, organic farming, etc. Liaison with National / Regional Research Institutes to support their R&D interventions to develop solutions to field-level technical /operational problems and innovative technologies. Liaison with Line Departments of Central as well as State Governments, ICAR, and State Universities of related disciplines. Advisory services at District/State/National level in operationalization of several Government-sponsored schemes pertaining to related disciplines. Representation on various technical committees/ sub-groups constituted by State / National Level institutions etc. towards policy advocacy. Provision, and simultaneous internal capacity building, in the emerging areas of NABARD’s interest and projects being implemented by NABARD requiring specialisations /expertise from related disciplines. Miscellaneous areas- suggestions/advice for effective policy formulations and business plans, Appraisal & Monitoring of proposals having NABARD’s interest and/or involvement. Documentation of Success stories and dissemination technology for replication. Any support related to technical discipline is sought from time to time. |
