RPF SI Recruitment 2024: The Ministry of Railways conducts RPF SI recruitment to select eligible male and female candidates for Sub-Inspector posts in various zones of the Indian Railways and Railway Protection Special Forces (RPSF). RPF SI recruitment 2024 notification is available now. RPF SI recruitment process comprises several stages such as Computer-Based Test (CBT), Physical Efficiency Test (PET) & Physical Measurement Test (PMT), Document Verification (DV). Successful candidates of RPF SI CBT will be selected in level six of the seventh Pay Commission. RPF SI salary offered to the candidates is INR 35,400.

How to Apply for RPF SI Recruitment 2024?
RPF SI application form will be available online on the official website. The application fee can be paid both online and offline. The steps to fill the RPF SI application form are given below.
- Visit the official website
- Read the instructions and click the ‘Confirm’ button
- Enter name, date of birth and father’s name, mother’s name, Aadhaar Number(optional), State/UT, category, education board, class 10 roll number, year of passing class 10, mobile number and email ID
- Post submission, registration number and password will be generated
- The online application form comprises, filling educational qualification, gender, religion, ESM, and minority, economically backward class, age relaxation eligibility category as applicable and other details
- On submission of the application details, candidates need to pay the fees
- Candidates need to choose Zone/RPSF
- Choose the exam language of CBT
- Upload the colour photograph
- Agree to the terms and conditions
- Submit the application form
RPF SI Recruitment 2024 Vacancies
The vacancies are released as per the groups of zonal railways and RPSF. Candidates can apply against RPF SI vacancy of either a group of zonal railway of RPSF. Within a group of zonal railways, they are required to give their preference for individual zones. Candidates will be considered against the vacancies of that group only and allocated a zonal railway based on merit and preference. Candidates selected for the post are liable to serve anywhere in the country.
RPF SI Recruitment Salary and Training
Selected candidates will be offered a stipend of INR 35,400 as well as other allowances. They will have to undergo training in any one of RPF/RPSF training centre. Final allocation to the force will be done after passing the final examination.

RPF SI Recruitment Exam Pattern
The CBT of RPF SI will be conducted across cites in the country in 15 languages. The test will comprise 120 objective type questions from General Awareness, Arithmetic, General Intelligence & reasoning. The duration of test is 90 minutes. For the correct answers, candidates score one mark while 1/3 marks are deducted for the wrong answer. Candidates are required to obtain 35 per cent and SC and ST candidates are required to obtain 30 per cent. The PET & PMT comprises running, long jump and high jump, conducted separately for male and female candidates. This test is qualifying in nature.

RPF SI Recruitment 2024 Selection Process
RPF SI recruitment process comprises Computer Based Test (CBT), Physical Efficiency Test (PET) & Physical Measurement Test (PMT) and Document Verification (DV). Candidates 10 times the number of vacancies will be selected for PET and PMT. Based on the performance of candidates in the CBT and subject to their qualifying in PET and PMT, candidates will be called for Document Verification. Candidates selected for Document Verification are required to undergo a Medical Exam. Appointments of candidates will be done if they are found medically fit.

Q: What is RPF SI selection process?
The different stages of RPF SI selection process are explained below:
Phase 1: Computer-Based Test (CBT): This is the initial stage of selection process that assesses candidates' knowledge in subjects such as General Awareness, Arithmetic, General Intelligence and Reasoning.
Phase 2: Physical Efficiency Test (PET): Candidates who qualify for the CBT are then required to undergo a Physical Efficiency Test (PET). The PET includes physical tasks such as running, long jump, and high jump.
Phase 3: Physical Measurement Test (PMT)- Candidates who clear the PET are subjected to a Physical Measurement Test to ensure that they meet the prescribed physical standards.
Phase 4: Document Verification- After clearing the PET and PMT, candidates need to provide the necessary documents to verify their eligibility, which typically includes educational certificates, identity proof, and other relevant documents.

The short RPF SI notification 2024 was released on March 2, 2024. The detailed notification was released on April 14, 2024. The notification for SI was released to fill up a total of 452 vacancies.
