SSC Stenographer Syllabus 2024 is one of the important parameters for preparation. SSC Stenographer Syllabus 2024

The overview of SSC Stenographer Syllabus is given below:

  • SSC Stenographer syllabus comprises three subjects: General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness, and English Language & Comprehension
  • SSC Stenographer exam is conducted in two phases: computer-based test (CBT) and skill test
  • The question paper consists of 200 questions of 200 marks. The duration of the test is two hours
  • Total 50 questions are asked from General Intelligence and Reasoning and General Awareness
  • Total 100 questions are asked from English Language and Comprehension
  • There is also a negative marking SSC Stenographer exam. 0.25 marks are deducted for every wrong answer

This section includes questions relating to India and its Neighbouring countries, Sports, History, Culture, Geography, Economic Scene, General Polity including Indian Constitution, and Scientific Research, etc.

SSC Stenographer Syllabus for English Language

In this section, candidates get questions from Vocabulary, Grammar, Sentence Structure, Synonyms, Antonyms, and their correct usage, etc. Besides, the section tests a candidate’s writing ability.

SSC Stenographer Syllabus for Skill Test

Candidates qualifying the computer-based exam are required to appear in the skill test for stenography. Candidates are given one dictation for 10 minutes in English or Hindi which they need to type at the speed of 100 word per minute for Stenographer Grade C and 80 word per minute for Stenographer Grade D. SSC Stenographer Exam Pattern

SSC Stenographer exam pattern is divided into computer-based test and skill test. Both tests are conducted in online mode. The computer-based test comprises three sections. A total 200 objective-type multiple-choice questions are asked in the exam. The test carries a total of 200 marks. Q:   What is SSC Stenographer exam pattern?

A:

The Computer Based Test of SSC Stenographer comprises three sections: General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness and English Language and Comprehension. The General Intelligence & Reasoning and General Awareness sections carry 50 questions each while the English Language and Comprehension section comprises 100 questions. Total marks allotted to General Intelligence & Reasoning and General Awareness sections are 50 each while the English Language and Comprehension section carry 100 marks. Candidates will be given two hours to complete the exam.

In the skill test, candidates will be given one dictation for 10 minutes in English or Hindi which they need to type at the speed of 100 words per minute (w.p.m) for the post of Stenographer Grade C and 80 w.p.m for Stenographer Grade D post.

At times due to the heavy load at the server, the admit card page takes time to load. Candidates are advised to keep patience and then download SSC Stenographer admit card.  Candidates should enter the login credentials correctly inorder to download SSC Stenographer admit card.

SSC Stenographer admit card is released online on the official website. The hard copy of the admit card is not sent to candidates by post. Candidates can download their admit cards by logging with registration number or roll number, date of birth or password.
