UPPCL JE 2024 Recruitment Eligibility Criteria

Only Indian Nationals are eligible to apply for the exam. The age of the candidates should be between 18 and 40 years. Candidates must have passed three years Diploma examination in Civil Engineering offered by the Pravidhik Shiksha Parishad, Uttar Pradesh, or equivalent Diploma recognised by the State Government/three years All India Diploma Examination in Civil Engineering conducted by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Government of India/Diploma examination in Civil Engineering conducted by any of the universities in India incorporated by an Act of the Central/State legislature.

UPPCL JE Recruitment Exam Pattern

The exam of UPPCL JE is conducted in Computer-Based Mode. The three-hour duration test carries questions from Diploma Level Engineering Branch, General Knowledge & Awareness, Reasoning, and General Hindi. The paper carries 200 objective-type multiple-choice questions. The total marks allotted to the paper are 200.

UPPCL JE eligibility criteria is different for different posts:

Electrical Post

The age of candidates should be between 18 and 40 years. Relaxation in the upper age limit is given to candidates belonging to SC, ST, OBC (NCL), Ex-Servicemen, dependents of freedom fighters, physically handicapped, etc.

Candidates must have passed three years Diploma examination in Electrical Engineering offered by the Pravidhik Shiksha Parishad,  Uttar Pradesh or equivalent Diploma recognised by the State Government

Or,

Three years All India Diploma Examination in Electrical Engineering conducted by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Government of India

Or,

Diploma examination in Electrical Engineering conducted by any of the universities in India incorporated by an Act of the Central/State legislature

Civil Post

The age of candidates should be between 18 and 40 years . Three years Diploma examination in Civil Engineering awarded by the Pravidhik Shiksha Parishad, UP or equivalent recognised by the state government. Diploma received through Distance Learning education is not applicable. Candidates must produce a certificate from the head of the institution from which they passed out or from a gazette officer in Uttar Pradesh that he can read and write Hindi in the Devnagri Script with ease. Such certificate will not be necessary in the case of candidates who passed the High School or an equivalent examination with Hindi or who have obtained a degree, diploma, or certificate of any Hindi examination from an institution recognised by the state government.
