Located in the Garden City of Bangalore, Bangalore University was established in 1964. Bangalore University is approved by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and is accredited by the NAAC with a Grade ‘A’. The university is also a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). Additionally, it houses 45+ PG departments, one postgraduate centre at Kolar, four university colleges, and other affiliated colleges and several other Centres and Directorates of higher learning and research under its purview.
