Application form for B.Ed can be obtained online from the official website of IGNOU. At least, 50% marks either in the Bachelor's degree and/or in the Master's degree in sciences/social sciences/commerce/humanity. Candidates, who are trained in-service teachers in elementary education, will be eligible to apply for the entrance exam and further for admission or who have completed a NCTE recognised teacher education programme through face-to-face mode. Here are few things that students will recieve after taking admission in IGNOU:

• Once a students get admission into IGNOU, he or she will recieve the enrollment number and ID for future login to the samarth portal of the university.
• Based on the choice made by the candidate while filling the application form, he or she will then recieve the study material. Soft copy is available on the official website of the university. 
• Registered students also recieve a mail from the regional or study centre for counselling. It is an induction ceremony where the course is introduced to the students.
• A schedule of classes is also shared through mail. For any query regarding classes, students must contact their study centre.

IGNOU admission is conducted in two cycles, i.e. January and July. While the registrations for the January session generally get over in March, Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) admission for the July session opens in June and remains open till Jul-Aug and sometimes even till September. The admissions are mainly based on the aggregate obtained by candidates in the last qualifying degree. Students who were not able to take admission in the January batch are open for admission in the July batch. Hence, the answer is almost yes. 

Aspiring students are required to register on the admission page of IGNOU’s official website and fill out the application form online. In the form, fill in all the details asked, upload the required documents, preview the data and pay the application fee. 

To be eligible for the course, candidates must pass in Class 12 with Science subjects or its equivalent. The university follows a credit system for all its programmes including BSc. One credit equals 30 hours of learners' study time. To earn a UG degree, a learner has to earn 132 credits in a minimum of six semesters (three years) with 22 credits per semester.

In the field of Science,  IGNOU offers a UG BSc programme across seven specialisations, a BSc (Hons) across two specialisations along a PB BSc Nursing course. All these courses have a minimum and maximum duration of three and six years, respectively. 

IGNOU admission to MBA was subject to a valid score in IGNOU OPENMAT exam till 2021. However, for the admission 2021 onwards, IGNOU cancelled the OPENMAT exam and eligible candidates were able to directly apply for the MBA courses via the online registration link before the extended deadline. However, as per the data collated from various sources, IGNOU seems to have scrapped the OPENMAT exam. IGNOU MBA admission 2024 is subject to merit scores obtained by the students in the last qualifying degree. 

IGNOU offers only very selective programmes to international students through its overseas partner institutes. These partner institutes render student support services to such students. Such students aspiring to pursue IGNOU programmes must contact the concerned partner institute in their vicinity and fill out the admission form along with the requisite fees within the stipulated time. For the January cycle, the applications are accepted between the November-December month of the previous year. For the July cycle, a candidate is required to apply in the month of May-August. Currently, IGNOU MSc fresh admission and re-registration is open. The last date to apply for the July session is Jul 31. Aspirants should apply on or before the prescribed deadline.

Once the MSc application form is submitted successfully, it will be scrutinised by IGNOU admission authorities and if it fulfils the eligibility criteria, candidates will receive a confirmation on the registered email address. If a deficiency is found in the application, a communication is sent via IGNOU informing the candidates about the discrepancy. After successful processing of the form, the University will provide further information concerning confirmation of admission, allotment of study centre and other details for induction, etc. in due course of time.
