What is PUBDET?

The Presidency University Bachelor’s Degree Entrance Test, or PUBDET, is held for admissions to the BA and BSc programmes offered at Presidency University, Kolkata. These programmes are offered in various disciplines, including Political Science, Life Sciences, History, Hindi, Economics, Statistics, Philosophy, Sociology, and Performing Arts. Approximately 50,000 students appear for the exam annually, making it one of the more competitive entrance tests.

As per the exam's notification, each candidate can take the test for a maximum of 3 papers. For the first (or one) paper they apply for, an application fee of INR 500 must be paid. For each extra paper, an extra amount of INR 250 must be paid.
