A:

No, the KLEE exam is not conducted in Malayalam. The exam is administered in English only.

This information is generally available on the official website of the Commissioner of Entrance Examination (CEE), Kerala, cee.kerala.gov.in. The website provides details about the exam, including the syllabus, exam pattern, and eligibility criteria, all in English.

Here's why English is likely the language used for the KLEE exam:

  • National Law Entrance Exam: The KLEE serves as the entrance exam for admission to law programmes in Kerala. Law, as a field of study and practice in India, primarily utilises English. Legal documents, court proceedings, and judgments are predominantly in English.
  • Standardization: Using English ensures a standardized testing environment for all candidates appearing for the exam across Kerala, irrespective of their native language.
