MH CET Law 2025 - CET Cell Maharashtra has released the MH CET Law 2025 exam dates for 3-year LLB and 5-year LLB courses. The MH CET Law 2025 exam for 3-year LLB will tentatively be held on March 20 and 21, 2025. The MH CET Law 2025 5-year LLB exam date is April 4, 2025.
The exam authority has also released the MH CET Law 2025 3-year LLB syllabus and the MH CET Law 2025 5-year LLB syllabus on the official website - cetcell.mahacet.org.
The 5-year LLB syllabus includes four subjects: Legal Aptitude and Legal Reasoning, General Knowledge and Current Affairs, Logical and Analytical Reasoning, English and Mathematics. The syllabus for the 3-year LLB entrance exam is the same as that of the 5-year LLB entrance exam. However, it does not include the Mathematics section.Â

The MH CET Law 2025 exam for 3-year LLB programme will tentatively be on March 20 and 21, 2025 in a computer-based mode at different test centres.

Admission to the first year of five-year and three-year law programmes is based on the Maharashtra Law Common Entrance Test (CET) score. Please keep in mind that CET is required for admission to the programs listed above at ILS Law College. The College does not have a separate entrance examination. There is no additional registration form to complete for admission to ILS Law College. There are no management quota seats available at ILS Law College. The Centralized Admission Process (CAP) is used by the CET Cell, Mumbai, to determine the eligibility for all programs at ILS Law College based on the results of the CET.

What is MH CET Law exam?
MH CET Law or Maharashtra Common Entrance Test for Law is a state-level exam conducted by the State CET Cell, Maharashtra for admissions to law courses offered at participating law colleges in Maharashtra. The MH CET Law exam is conducted in an online mode, computer-based mode, and is of two hours duration. The question paper contains 150 multiple-choice questions. Through the entrance exam, law aspirants are shortlisted for admissions to 11,951 seats (excluding management intake) for the 5-year LLB program and around 16,420 seats for the 3-year LLB courses programmes. Â

MH CET Law Eligibility Criteria 2025
Candidates seeking admission to 5-year integrated LLB courses or the 3-year LLB course will only get admission if they meet the MH CET Law eligibility criteria for their respective course and secure sufficient marks in the MH CET Law entrance exam. If they fill out the application form for a 3-year LLB or 5-year LLB course and do not meet the eligibility criteria for the course selected by them, their candidature will be rejected, and they may not receive their entrance test admit card. Thus, aspirants only need to fill out the MH CET Law application for a particular course if they meet the course eligibility criteria for the application.Â
MH CET Law 2025 5-year LLB Eligibility Criteria:
Candidates seeking admissions to five-year integrated LLB courses through MH CET Law need to fulfill the following eligibility criteria:
- Candidates must be Indian citizens.
- They should have passed the Senior Secondary School Examination/ Intermediate Examination/ 12th Board Examination from any recognised educational institution under the state board or national board of education.Â
- Moreover, they must have secured 45% marks in aggregate in the qualifying exam.
- If belonging to SC/ ST category of Maharashtra state, then the minimum marks required are 40% as per relaxation in aggregate marks. Candidates belonging to VJNT, SBC and OBC categories in Maharashtra need a minimum of 42% in their qualifying exam to take MHCET Law 2025 exam for 5-year LLB.
- As per the age limit criteria, candidates should be at least 20 years old at the time of admission. However, in case of candidates belonging to OBC, SC, ST categories of Maharashtra state, the age limit is 22 years minimum at the time of admission.
MH CET Law 3-Year LLB Eligibility Criteria 2025:
- The candidates must have passed the graduation exam in any discipline.
- Candidates appearing in the qualifying exams in the exam year may also apply.
- General category candidates belonging to Maharashtra and outside Maharashtra must have a bachelor's degree with a minimum of 45% marks.
- SC/ST candidates belonging to Maharashtra must have an undergraduate degree with a minimum aggregate score of 40%.
- VJNT, SBC and OBC must have a bachelor's degree with a minimum of 42%.
Note:Â
- Candidates who completed Class 10 and Class 12 at an open school or through distance learning but did not have regular basic education from Class 1 to 10 are ineligible for the MH CET Law.
- Candidates who have completed their basic regular education from Class 1 to Class 10 and Class 12 from an open college or university or via online learning are eligible for the MH CET Law 2025.

MH CET Law Exam Day Instructions 2025
To take the MH CET Law 2025, candidates must follow the instructions mentioned below:
- Candidates appearing for the law entrance exam should report their allotted test centre at least an hour before the scheduled exam timings.Â
- They should carry MHCET Law 2025 admit card (one extra copy) along with one valid photo ID proof such as Voter ID card, Driving License, Aadhaar Card or Enrollment Number, School ID/ College ID proof etc.Â
- Candidates should also carry two ballpoint pens either in blue colour or black colour as required to mark their answers on the OMR answer sheet.
- Candidates should follow the instructions mentioned on the admit card as well as the instructions by exam centre authority.Â

Steps to Check MH CET Law Result 2025?
The steps to download the MH CET Law scorecard for both the 5-year LLB course and the 3-year LLB course are the same. Use the following steps to check the MH CET Law results 2025:Â
- Go to the website of CET Cell Maharashtra - cetcell.mahacet.org.Â
- Log in to the Candidate Portal using your registered email ID and password.Â
- Now, go to the "Score Card" tab and click on it.Â
- Now, click on the 3 Years / 5 Years LLB result link.Â
- Your score card will open in a new tab.
- You also need to download the MH CET Law scorecard for future reference.
It is also advised that all the candidates who have appeared in the MH CET Law 2025 exam take multiple copies of their entrance exam results, which will be required at the time of admission to UG or PG law courses.Â
MH CET Law Counselling 2025
The counselling process of MH CET law is known as the Centralized Admission Process (or CAP). The counseling is conducted in online mode separately for the 3-year and 5-year LLB programs. For the 3-year LLB program, there are 147 participating institutes, with the seat intake standing at 16,420. The 5-year LLB program has an intake of 10,920 seats at 132 approved colleges.
The MHCET law 2025 counselling process is explained in brief below:
- Registration - Eligible candidates need to register for counselling online, enter their choice of colleges and pay the counselling fee.
- Document verification - The admission committee will e-verify uploaded documents and the information entered by the candidate at the time of filling the application form. Only such candidates who successfully complete the verification process will be considered for the next step.
- Publication of Alphabetical Merit List - The merit list will include the names of candidates shortlisted for the counselling and seat allotment process.
- Submission of grievances - Any candidates who have any objection against the merit list are allowed to challenge it.  Â
- Publication of Final Merit List - The final list will be published after making any corrections to the provisional list after considering objections by candidates.Â
- Allotment of seats - Finally, seats will be allocated by considering 1) the MH CET law 2025 merit rank of the candidate, and 2) College options picked at the time of counselling registration.
Note that there will be two rounds of CAP. If there are any seats that lie vacant after CAP allotment rounds, then such seats will be filled at an institutional level by respective law colleges.
