PSU Recruitment through CLAT 2025 is on the basis of the overall exam score of the candidate in the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2025 exam. CLAT was held on December 1, 2024. The law entrance exam CLAT 2025 is conducted not only for admission to national law universities (NLUs) but also to give the candidates the chance to apply for jobs in various Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs). CLAT Result was announced on December 7, 2024. The PSUs are the organisations that are owned by the Government of India (GoI) or state government that operate like private businesses and share profits with their respective governments.

PSU Jobs through CLAT Cutoff Marks
CLAT 2025 scores is considered in many PSUs for recruitment. In order to get selected, candidates need to score more then the CLAT cutoff and also the cutoff/ score announced by each organisation for a vacancy. Candidates must note that the PSU recruitment through CLAT will be done on the basis of the score of the present year only. Candidates should also keep in mind that while most of the PSUs consider CLAT scores for direct recuritment some of them also use the scores for shortlisting the candidates. The shortlisted candidates will then have to appear in an interview, test or group discussion for the final recruitment.

Yes, you can definitely appear for the CLAT exam again if you did not clear it in the first attempt. The CLAT exam is conducted once a year by the Consortium for enrolling students in various law courses offered at 24 NLUs in the country.
There is no limit on the number of attempts that you can make for the CLAT exam. However, you have to fulfill the eligibility criteria to appear in the exam. All those candidates who are willing to appear for the CLAT 206 should meet the eligibility criteria as announced by the Consortium of National Law Universities. As per the official eligibility criteria of the CLAT 2026, there was no age-limit criteria for candidates to appear in CLAT UG 2026 or CLAT PG 2026 exam. However, it was mandatory for candidates to fulfill other basic educational requirements, to take part in the CLAT Exam 2026.
Candidates must pass Class 12 examination by April/May 2026 and submit the passing certificates at the time of admission.
To be eligible for the CLAT PG 2026, you must have a minimum percentage of 50 per cent in LLB or any other equivalent degree from a recognised university.
Q: Who is eligible to appear for CLAT 2026?
In order to be eligible for CLAT 2026, aspirants must have passed Class 12 exams or an equivalent examination from any recognised board or institution in the country. All those candidates who will be appearing in the Class 12 exam in April/ May 2026 are also eligible to appear for the CLAT 2026 Exam. However, such aspirants will have to produce the certificate of qualifying examination at the time of admission failing which their admission will be cancelled by the competent authority. Candidates are advised to carefully check the CLAT eligibility criteria 2026 before applying for the CLAT 2026 entrance exam.
Q: Can I give CLAT after Class 12th?
Candidates who have completed class 12th or equivalent in any stream from a recognised board can appear for CLAT 2026 Exam. Candidates must note that in order to apply they should have scored minimum 45 percentage marks in Class 12th.This is only applicable for General/ OBC / PWD / NRI / PIO / OCI categories. Foreign nationals cannot appear for CLAT. There is no minimum age requirement to apply for the exam.
Types of PSUs hiring through CLAT 2025 score
PSUs in the country are categorised in four types based on parameters like listing in the Indian Stock Exchange, global presence, annual revenue, and income generated. Companies under different categories are given in the table below:
- Maharatna
Companies that have an annual turnover of INR 20,000 crore on an average for three years and an average net worth of combined value of assets INR 10,000 crore will be called as maharatna company.
- Navratna
CPSEs with a schedule A along with a Miniratna Category 1 status can be eligible for navratna, which gives power to the PSU to invest up to INR 1,000 crore without government approval.
- Mini-Ratna
CPSEs that have made profits in the last three years continuously and have a positive net worth are eligible for miniratna grant status.
PSU Recruitment for Legal Advisors through CLAT
The exam conducting authority for CLAT 2025 is the National Law Universities (NLUs). Candidates must go through all the eligibility conditions prescribed by the authorities before applying for PSU recruitment through CLAT 2025. While qualifying CLAT is one of the eligibility conditions, there are various other requirements such as age limit, pass percentage of CGPA obtained during graduation, and others specified by the PSUs for recruitment of candidates.
