KLEE 2025 Result Types

There are 2 formats in which the KLEE result is issued:

  1. As scorecard: It has the scores of the candidates in the exam in a detailed format. It is published under the respective logins of the candidates.
  2. As rank list: The rank list for admission to the course is published on the basis of the total marks secured by the candidates in KLEE. It is published a few days after the scorecards are published. Separate category–wise lists are also published for SEBC / SC / ST Reservation, Special Reservation, Person with Disability etc. The rank lists are released as PDF on the official website.

How is the KLEE 2025 Result Prepared?

The result is prepared based on the raw marks obtained by the candidates in the entrance exam.

How is the KLEE 2025 score calculated?

  • For each correct response, the candidates are awarded 3 marks.
  • For each incorrect response, 1 mark is deducted from the total score.
  • However, in case of an unanswered question, no deduction from the total score is done.

This way the total raw score is calculated. This total raw score is then converted to a percentage. This is followed for all the 3 courses - 3 years LLB, 5 years LLB and LLM.

How is the KLEE rank list prepared?

The ranks are provided to the candidates based on the scores. The higher the score, the better the rank. In case 2 or more candidates get the same score, tie-breaking is done.

Q:   What is the marking scheme for KLEE?

A:

The KLEE exam follows a marking scheme that rewards accuracy and penalizes incorrect answers. Here's a breakdown:

  • Marks per Question: Each correctly answered question in the KLEE exam is awarded 3 marks.
  • Negative Marking: There is negative marking in the KLEE exam. For every incorrect answer, 1 mark is deducted from your total score.
  • Unattempted Questions: No marks are deducted for questions that you leave unanswered.

Example:

Let's say you attempt all 200 questions in the KLEE exam:

If you answer 150 questions correctly and get 50 wrong:

  • Marks for correct answers = 150 questions * 3 marks/question = 450 marks
  • Deduction for incorrect answers = 50 questions * 1 mark/question = 50 marks
  • Total score = 450 marks - 50 marks = 400 marks

If you answer 120 questions correctly and leave 80 questions unanswered:

  • Marks for correct answers = 120 questions * 3 marks/question = 360 marks
  • No deduction for unattempted questions = 0 marks
  • Total score = 360 marks + 0 marks = 360 marks

KLEE 2025 Tie-Breaking Criteria

While preparing the KEE rank list, the tie is resolved in the following manners:

In 3 years LLB and 5 years LLB:

  1. The candidate securing higher marks in the part ‘Aptitude for legal Studies’ of the Entrance Examination is placed higher in the ranking.
  2. If the tie persists, candidates with higher marks in the part ‘English’ of the Entrance Examination are placed higher in the ranking.
  3. If the tie still exists, the age of the candidate is considered, the elder being placed higher in the ranking than the younger.

In LLM:

  1. Candidates who score higher marks in Part A of the Entrance Examination are placed higher in the rank list.
  2. If the tie still persists, the age of the candidate is considered, the elder being preferred to the younger.
