IBSAT 2024 detailed analysis will be updated after the test ends. The IBSAT 2024 exam will be held on December 28 and December 29, 2024 in a computer-based mode. IBSAT Question Paper consists of 140 objective-type questions. According to the analysis of IBSAT 2020 Day 1, the difficulty level of the exam is easy to moderate. IBSAT 2024 Exam Analysis
IBSAT 2024 exam will be conducted in CBT mode. The exam is expected to be held in last week of December 2024. Exam analysis for IBSAT 2024 exam will be updated as soon the exam is conducted.
Highlights of IBSAT 2023 Exam Analysis
- IBSAT 2023 was of moderate difficulty
- No lowercase in IBSAT question paper 2023
- Variation in types of questions and topics as compared to 2021.
- The expected cut-off of ICFAI Hyderabad Campus is 60-65 percentile
- Expected cut-off of other ICFAI Campuses to remain the same as the previous year or change slightly
- Test takers could attempt 32-34 questions from each section in half an hour. For students with sound preparation, solving 17-20 questions from each section in IBSAT 2023 exam with accuracy was easy.
IBSAT 2023 Exam Analysis: Topic-Wise Questions & Marks
There was 140 questions in total in IBSAT 2023 question paper. Each question carried 1 mark. The Verbal Ability section of IBSAT 2023 question paper carried the maximum marks (50) followed by Reading Comprehension, Quantitative Aptitude, Data Adequacy and Data Interpretation section, each with 30 marks. Section-wise IBSAT 2023 Exam Analysis
Verbal Ability
IBSAT 2023 exam analysis of the Verbal Ability section had relatively easy questions, except a few tricky ones in the Vocabulary section, the rest of the questions were easy. The questions from the Grammar section were easy and primarily from topics such as synonyms/antonyms, the meaning of idioms, cloze test, picking out the errors in usage, word relation, one-word substitution, phrases, fill-in-the-blanks, sentence correction, and jumbled paragraphs.
Experts believe scoring 32-34 marks within 25 minutes in the Verbal Ability section was easy.
Reading Comprehension
The Reading Comprehension (RC) section had some questions, which were direct and factual in nature while some were inferential. Inferential questions were time-consuming. The difficulty level of RC questions can be considered moderate to difficult level. Given below is the break-up of the Reading Comprehension section:
- 30 questions from 4 RC passages
- 500-600 words passages
Experts believe solving 20-22 questions with accuracy in 25 minutes from the section was easy.
Quantitative Ability
IBSAT 2023 exam analysis show that the Quantitative Ability section had a good mix of questions from various topics that were arithmetical and geometrical in nature. Questions were of moderate difficulty level. Majority of questions in the IBSAT 2023 question paper were from the following topics-

Experts believe not required attempting 21 to 23 questions was easy with good preparation.
Data Adequacy and Data Interpretation
IBSAT 2023 exam analysis show Data Adequacy and Data Interpretation section had questions that focused strongly on data adequacy and logical thinking. The overall difficulty level of questions of the DA-DI section was moderate, except for a few questions that were difficult. The questions were asked from topics such as:
- Pi graphs
- Line graphs
- Percentage change
- Ratio between two values
Experts believe solving 17-20 questions with accuracy was easy with good preparation from this section.

“IBSAT is easier than other MBA/PGDM entrance exams. One should study from CAT books available in the market and keep themselves updated with current affairs” said Ankita Singh currently pursuing PGPM from IBS Bangalore.
