Karnataka PGCET Counselling 2024: The Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) will conclude the fee payment facility under the final counselling round tomorrow, December 18. KEA published the PGCET seat allotment results as per the schedule. Candidates allotted a seat will have to pay the admission fee and download the admission order before the last date. Last date to report at the allotted college is set as December 19.

KEA conducts the Karnataka PGCET 2024 counselling for admission to PG courses, including MBA, MCA, and MTech. In the past exam sessions, the first step in the Karnataka PGCET counselling included a document verification process. Candidates who get their documents verified were eligible for the Karnataka PGCET option entry process. However, this year, the option entry process commenced before a physical document verification round.

Karnataka Examinations Authority is responsible for conducting the Postgraduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET) in the state of Karnataka. The participating institutes in PGCET Karnataka offer seats to qualified candidates based on their performance in the entrance exam. KEA allocates these seats in two allotment rounds. However, before the real allotment round starts, KEA releases a mock seat allotment result for all the candidates who completed the option entry process. Karnataka PGCET Counselling Process 2024

The counselling process of Karnataka PGCET 2024 includes the following stages -

A:

Karnataka Examinations Authority publishes the PGCET mock allotment status before commencement of the first seat allotment round. Candidates are not allotted seat based on the PGCET mock allotment results. However, the actual seat allotment round leads to allocation of seats in Karnataka PGCET participating colleges. Candidates get the facility to change their options after checking the mock allotment status. Mock allotment round is conducted familiarise candidates with the course and college allotted to them based on the ranks.

Karnataka PGCET Detailed Counselling Process

In the past sessions of PGCET centralised counselling, KEA conducted a physical document verification round at the helpline centres. After the documents were verified, KEA released PGCET option entry process. However, this year, KEA did not conduct a document verification round and started the option entry process online. Based on the options, KEA publishes the mock allotment results. All candidates are then allowed to edit options to be considered for the first round of Karnataka PGCET seat allotment.

Karnataka PGCET 2024 Counselling Process: Display of Seat Matrix

KEA receives the seat matrix before the commencement of the first round of seat allotment. Option entry will start after the publishing of the seat matrix. The details of the college wise, course wise and category wise seats available for allotment are published on the official website. The allotment of seats is done as per the seat matrix.

Karnataka PGCET 2024 Option Entry

Candidates who have completed their verification are eligible to appear in the option entry process. Candidates need to enter the course or college of their choice from among the available seats. Candidates should enter the options for all disciplines at once. There is no limit to the entry of options. The options recorded in the server on the last day will be frozen. Only the frozen options are considered for the allotment of seats. Candidates are advised to take a printout of the options entered by them.

Karnataka PGCET 2024 Mock Allotment Result 

KEA publishes the mock allotment status before the actual commencement of the first round of the seat allotment process. Candidates also have the facility to change their options after checking the mock allotment. This process is followed to familiarise candidates with the course and college allotted to them based on their ranks

Karnataka PGCET Seat Allotment 2024

The seat matrix and options entered by candidates will be taken into consideration for the seat allotment process. Seats will be allotted to candidates based on merit and the priority of options entered by candidates.

Payment of Admission Fee & Reporting to Allotted College

Candidates satisfied with the seat need to download the challan from the KEA website and pay the fees at the specified banks.  After the payment, the bank will return the candidate and college copy. After one hour of making the payment, candidates will be able to download the admission order. Candidates need to report to the college with the college copy of the challan, admission order and original documents within the prescribed dates. Candidates need to log in to option entry and report to KEA that they have joined the college.

Documents Required for Karnataka PGCET 2024 Counselling

Candidates need to carry original copies of all the relevant documents along with the attested photocopies of the same during the document verification process. The following documents need to be submitted during the document verification process:

  • Final print out of Karnataka PGCET 2024 application form
  • Fee receipt
  • Karnataka PGCET 2024 hall ticket
  • SSLC / Class 10 mark sheet
  • Class 12 mark sheet
  • Qualifying degree marks cards of all semesters
  • Degree certificate / provisional degree certificate
  • Study certificate countersigned by BEO as per the format (Only for Karnataka candidates)
  • Work experience certificate (in case of working candidates)
  • Sponsored certificate (If applicable)
  • Caste certificate
  • Income certificate

Candidates can check the Karnataka PGCET seat allotment results by following the steps mentioned below:

1st Step: Visit the official website of KEA, that is kea.kar.nic.in

2nd Step: Click on the relevant link indicating the Karnataka PGCET seat allotment results

3rd Step: Enter PGCET number

The Karnataka PGCET option entry lets the candidates select their preferred colleges and courses from the available seats.   • 4th Step: Enter PGCET number followed by entering the case-sensitive captcha code appearing on the screen

Karnataka PGCET Counselling 2024: Downloading Allotment Order

After release of the Karnataka PGCET seat allotrment results, candidates can download the allotment order and pay the admission fee to obtain provisional admission. The space below mentions the process to download the allotment order and pay the admission fee:
