Karnataka PGCET Counselling Schedule 2024: Check Allotment Dates for First and Final Round

Candidates can check the Karnataka PGCET 2023 dates on the official website of Karnataka Examination Authority.  KEA releases the schedule for Karnataka PGCET 2023, including the application schedule, admit card dates, exam dates, answer key release schedule, and result declaration dates.

Karnataka PGCET exam is conducted once every year. The exam score is valid for one exam session only. Karnataka PGCET is an offline exam with as many as 100 MCQs to be answered within 150 minutes.  Karnataka Post Graduate Common Entrance Test is administered annually by Karnataka Examination Authority. Karnataka PGCET acts as the gateway exam for admission into PG courses, including MBA, MCA, M.E., M.Tech. and M.Arch in the state of Karnataka.

KEA conducted the Karnataka PGCET 2023 exam for admission to MBA/MCA, MTech, and March courses offered by colleges in Karnataka. The exam was conducted on September 23 for Engineering courses and on September 24 for MBA and MCA courses. Candidates could download the answer key soon after the exam was conducted.

Karnataka PGCET exam dates and event schedule is released by Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA).  KEA conducts the Karnataka PGCET 2023 exam for admission to MBA/MCA, MTech, and M.Arch courses offered by colleges in Karnataka. KEA conducts Karnataka PGCET with the following chronology of events that are important to note:

Besides the above mentioned events, KEA may include some additional exam related events in between occuring due to unforeseen reasons.

KEA conducted the Karnataka PGCET 2023 exam in the month of September for different courses. The exam for MBA and MCA courses was conducted on the same day. While the exam for admission to M.E., M.Tech and M.Arch courses was conducted on a separate day. The exam for all the courses was conducted in an offline mode at test cities situated across Karnataka. Candidates had to mark the answers in an OMR sheet. Irrespective of the course, Karnataka PGCET exam had as many as 100 multiple-choice questions.

The exam for Engineering courses was conducted on September 23. While the Karnataka PGCET exam for MBA and MCA courses was conducted on September 24.

Soon after the declaration of the Karnataka PGCET merit list, candidates qualifying the exam can participate in the Karnataka PGCET counselling for MBA admission across the state. The schedule for counselling is announced after the result announcement. Karnataka PGCET counselling date 2023 will be announced soon. In the counselling round, the allotment of seats is done based on merit and priority options. The counselling process includes candidates' registration, document verification, option entry, and seat allotment. Selected candidates have to pay the admission fee to secure final admission in the allotted college.

Karnataka PGCET 2023 results were declared on November 22, 2023, for the exam that was conducted in the last week of September. Similarly, in the PGCET 2022 sessions, the result was released on December 29 for the exam that was conducted on November 22.

Therefore, it can be interpreted that candidates could download the Karnataka PGCET results within 30 to 45 days of the exam date. Hard copy of the Karnataka PGCET result or mark sheet is not sent to the candidates. They had to take printouts of the mark sheet and preserve it till the counselling and admission process is over.

Karnataka PGCET application form submission is typically facilitated for a period of 20+ days. However, the deadline can be extended as per the number of registeations received and other factors.

Considering the past exam sessions, the Karnataka PGCET 2023 application process was held entirely online. Candidates were allowed to visit the official website of KEA (kea.kar.nic.in) to complete the PGCET registrations as per the schedule. Also, the form correction window opened for the registered candidates to edit the form if there are any errors in it.

If the past year trends are followed, Karnataka PGCET 2024 registration will commence in the month of August. Candidates will be informed about the last date for PGCET 2024 registration along with the publication of information bulletin. The application form for Karnataka PGCET 2024 is available online on the official website. Candidates will have to complete the entire application process online, including uploading of the documents and paying the application fee.

To apply for Karnatka PGCET, candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree with an aggregate of 50 per cent (45 per cent for unreserved categories). In addition to the qualifying degree, candidates aspiring for a part-time MBA must have a minimum of three-year of work experience to be eligible for Karnataka PGCET.

Usually the Karnataka PGCET admit card is released 10 days before the exam, as per the past year trends. Similar trend has been seen for Karnataka PGCET 2023 hall ticket download. Candidates have been allowed to download the hall ticket of PGCET 2023 from September 13. The exam was held on September 23 and 24.

To download the Karntaka PGCET 2023 admit card candidates had to use Karnataka PGCET registration number and their four initial letters of the name. Candidates were able to check details like their name, Karnatka PGCET 2023 roll number, father’s name, photograph, signature, exam date and time, exam venue with complete address, and the Karnataka PGCET exam day instructions.
