The NSB Admission Test Syllabus 2021 comprises important topics of English Verbal Ability, Quantitative Aptitude and Data Interpretation.
Verbal Ability
In NSB admission test 2021, questions are in MCQ format. The verbal ability section contains topics from Vocabulary, Grammar and Verbal Reasoning.
Given below are the topics of Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension section of NSB Admission Test.
- Vocabulary segment will test candidate’s knowledge of English language. Questions in this section will be from topics such as primary meanings of words, idioms and phrases, secondary shades of meaning, usage, associated words, antonyms and others.
- The grammar segment will contain questions from topics such as articles, prepositions, use of modifiers, subject- verb agreement, parallel construction, phrasal verbs, redundancy, etc.
- Verbal Reasoning will test candidate’s potential to identify relationships or patterns within sentences or a group of words.
- Allied topics that a candidate needs to prepare are- paragraph completion, verbal ability tips, verbal reasoning, verbal ability preparation mistakes, tips to prepare vocabulary questions, inferential logical reasoning, mistakes to avoid while preparing for verbal ability and vocabulary.
- Reading comprehension or RC is the other section of Verbal Ability segment. This segment of the test paper contain questions from para jumbles, para summary, sentence correction and completion, odd sentences and other supportive topics such as fill in the blanks, Vocabulary, etc.
Quantitative Aptitude
It is a very wide section of NSB Admission Test. This segment mostly covers questions from Arithmetic, Algebra, Modern Math, Geometry, Mensuration, and Trigonometry among others. Test takers need to practice problems from topics mentioned below.

Data Interpretation (DI) section of NSB admission test is a calculation intensive section. It contains question that are based on caselet data interpreation, graphs (line, area), charts (column, bar, pie), Venn diagrams and tables.The caselets have data in the form of bar graphs, column graphs, venn diagrams, lines and pie charts.
