The UPCET exam pattern has been prescribed by AKTU (Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University). Candidates who wish to appear for the exam must familiarise themselves with the UPCET exam pattern 2021 to know the types of questions, the number of questions and marks distribution, etc. Candidates are also recommended to check the UPSEE syllabus, marking scheme and test duration to get an idea of the difficulty level of the exam. UPSEE 2021 was earlier scheduled to be held on May 10, 2021, but due to the coronavirus outbreak and the ongoing nationwide lockdown, it has been rescheduled for September 5 & 6.

The UPCET 2021 M. Pharm exam describes the whole scheme of the examination, including the duration of exam type of questions and the marking scheme. Below is the UPSEE 2021 exam pattern:

UPSEE Reservation Criteria 2021

AKTU has two types of reservation systems that allows the distribution of seats to candidates across the colleges in Uttar Pradesh:

  • Horizontal

AKTU on its official website has said, “Candidates can be given only one type of horizontal reservation out of UPFF/ UPAF/ UPHC. However, the female candidates can also claim for any one of UPFF/ UPAF/ UPHC along with UPGL.”

FAQs Regarding UPSEE Exam Pattern for BTech Courses

Q: UPSEE exam is conducted in which mode?

A: UPSEE exam will be conducted in offline mode for all eight papers.

Q: Is there a negative marking in the UPSEE exam?

A: No, there is no negative marking in UPSEE. However, AKTU keeps a record of incorrect answers of each candidate separately and uses it (if required) at the time of releasing UPSEE merit lists.

Q: How many questions are there in UPSEE?

A: There are a total of 150 questions in papers 1, 2 and 3 each. However, in paper 5 of the UPSEE exam, there are a total of 100 objective questions.

Q: What are the total marks for the UPSEE exam?

A: Papers 1, 2 and 3 carry a weightage of 600 marks. Paper 5 of the UPSEE exam carries a weightage of 400 marks.
