As the KEA NEET UGCET 2025 application process has commenced for the academic year 2025-26 by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA), candidates must note that the counselling process will begin only after the announcement of the NEET UG result 2025. KEA NEET UG counselling process includes, choice filling and option locking, provisional seat allotment result declaration, final seat allotment declaration, document verification, and reporting at the allotted institute. The Karnataka NEET seat allotment will inform the candidates about their All India Rank, course code, college name, course name, allotted category, course fee, and status.
Karnataka NEET UG Counselling 2025 will be conducted for admission to various MBBS, BDS, AYUSH, Unani, Homeopathy, and Ayurveda courses across government and private medical colleges across Karnataka. The counselling generally comprises two rounds and a mop-up round which is conducted if any seats remain vacant. KEA conducts Karnataka NEET 2025 counselling for 85% state quota and 100% of private college seats.
The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) will conduct Karnataka NEET counselling 2025 for 15% of All India Quota seats. The Karnataka NEET UG Counselling 2025 will enable the admission of approximately 43,451 seats. Under the MBBS programme, there are 33,829 seats and 9,622 seats in medical and dental colleges across the state.

Karnataka NEET UG Counselling 2025: Eligibility Criteria
Candidates applying for Karnataka NEET UG Counselling 2025, must fulfil the eligibility criteria laid down by KEA:
- Candidates must be a citizen of India
- He/she must have qualified for NEET 2025
- He/she must have filled the UGCET 2025 application form
Eligibility for Government Seats:
- He/she must have passed Class 10 and Class 12 from an institute located in Karnataka. Also, he/she must have studied for seven years at a government school located in Karnataka, or
- He/she must have passed Class 11 and Class 12 from an institute located in Karnataka. Also, either of the candidate’s parents must have studied for seven years at an institute located in Karnataka, or

Karnataka NEET Counselling Process 2025
The Karnataka NEET UG counselling 2025 for MBBS admissions will be conducted in four stages, namely Registration, Choice filling, Seat allotment and Reporting. All these stages are equally important for those applying for Karnataka NEET 2024 counselling. Karnataka NEET counselling registration last date has is February 18, 2025. KEA Registration Process 2025
To participate in the Karnataka NEET UG counselling 2025, a candidate must register for UGCET on the official website of KEA. Follow the steps given below to register:
Step 1: Go to the official website or click on this link 'cetonline.karnataka.gov.in/kea/ugcet2025'
Step 2: Select ‘UGCET-2025 Online Registration’. Enter details such as the name of the candidate, contact address details, category, PwD status, educational qualification details, date of birth, etc. Application ID and password will be sent to the registered mobile number of the candidate.
Step 2: Upload images of a recent passport-sized photograph, signature and thumb impression (left hand)
Step 3: Pay the registration/counselling fee. The registration fee can be paid online using a credit card/debit card/net banking. Candidates can also pay the fee offline by downloading the bank challan.

List of Registered Candidates
KEA will release a list with the names of all the candidates who had registered for the counselling of Karnataka NEET 2025. This list will be accompanied by the schedule for offline verification of the documents. To proceed further, all the candidates need to complete the verification process.
KEA 2025 Seat Matrix
The Karnataka NEET UG counselling 2025 Round 1 seat matrix will be released by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA). As per the revised schedule released by KEA, Bangalore, eligible candidates could make changes to the option entries. Candidates belonging to different categories will be able to download the Karnataka NEET UG seat matrix which will be released category-wise. KEA will release the seat matrix for NRI quota, Private quota, Government Special category quota, Hyd-Kar quota, and General quota candidates for both MBBS and Dental programmes. Verification of Documents
Verification of documents will be carried out in order of the ranks obtained by the candidates. Hence, all the candidates are advised to confirm the rank range, date and time of verification before reporting to the centre. Candidates must carry all the documents in original and a self-attested copy to the verification centre.
At the verification centre, candidates will have to register again and provide all the necessary information. At the verification counter, all the original documents will be verified by the officials and the self-attested copies will be retained. Candidates who complete the verification process successfully will be issued an acknowledgement slip.

KEA Secret Key and Choice Filling
Along with the acknowledgment slip, eligible candidates will also be provided with a secret key. This key is mandatory to fill in the choices on the ‘Option-entry portal’. Candidates are advised to keep the secret key to themselves and maintain confidentiality at all times.
There is no limit to the entry of options in Karnataka NEET counselling. Options recorded on the last day of the notified schedule will be frozen and will be considered for allotment of seats. Candidates must note that this is a one-time process only. Candidates who have entered options in the first round will not be allowed to enter options for the second round. However, candidates may make changes to the higher options.
Seat Allotment List
KEA releases a list of the candidates who have been allotted a seat in the counselling of Karnataka NEET 2025. These seat allotment lists will be prepared based on the merit of a candidate and the choices filled by him/her.
Post-Allotment Process
Candidates who will be allocated a seat in the Karnataka NEET counselling 2025 and wish to continue with the same seat need to confirm their choice on the official website of KEA. He/she then has to pay the fee and report to the allocated institute with the admission order.

Yes, Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) has made it mandatory from 2025 onwards for the candidates to apply for the UGCET 2025. Candidates who fill out the UGCET 2025 application form, pay the fee, will only be eligible to participate in KEA NEET UG counselling.
