MCC NEET counselling 2024 application form for Round 4 started on October 22, 2024. The last date to fill and submit the MCC NEET 2024 counselling Round 3 or Online Stray Vacancy Round application form was extended from October 25, 2024, to October 27, 2024, 12 noon, and the application fee had to be paid by 3 PM on the same date.  

The MCC NEET counselling 2024 application form was released in an online mode. Eligible candidates have to fill and submit the form on the MCC NEET UG portal along with the requisite application fee. 

There are four to five rounds of the MCC NEET-UG Counselling 2024 conducted by the MCC for the allocation of Undergraduate (MBBS/BDS/BSc Nursing) seats in participating Government Medical/Dental Colleges of India to the eligible and qualified candidates under 15 per cent of All India Quota (AIQ). 

The NEET 2024 exam was conducted on May 5, 2024, and the NEET 2024 result was declared on June 4, 2024. However, based on the ambiguity of the grace marks system and several other irregularities, NTA reconducted NEET 2024 on June 23, 2024, for 1,563 candidates who were awarded grace marks. As many as 813 candidates appeared for the test conducted in six exam centres located in five states across India. The result of the NEET 2024 retest was declared on July 1, 2024. NTA released the re-revised scorecard on July 26, 2024. 

Q:   What is the NEET counselling registration fee?

A:
The NEET counselling registration fee varies for different candidate categories. For the AIQ seats and Central Universities, the fee for the General category candidates is INR 1,000 and for the SC, ST, OBC and PwD category candidates, the fee is INR 500. For participating in the NEET counselling process for Deemed Universities, the registration fee for all category candidates is INR 5,000. The registration fee is non-refundable. On the other hand, candidates will have to pay the tuition fee which is refundable. The amount for the General category candidates for the AIQ seats and Central Universities is INR 10,000. For the reserved category candidates, the amount is INR 5,000. For Deemed Universities, the tuition fee to be paid by all category candidates is INR 2,00,000. Those who would not be allotted a seat after the NEET counselling process will be refunded the tuition fee after the conclusion of the counselling rounds.

Q:   I have forgotten my NEET counselling registration password. How can I retrieve it?

A:
To retrieve the forgotten NEET counselling registration password, the candidate have to enter the information that he/she filled at the time of registration and then security question and answer have to be entered as given during New Candidate registration process. The above data submitted by the candidate will be validated with the registered candidates database. If the above entries match, then only the candidate would be permitted to enter new password to proceed further.

Q:   When did NEET 2024 counselling process begin?

A:

NEET 2024 counselling dates were announced by the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) on July 29, 2024. NEET 2024 counselling Round 4 is being conducted from October 22 to November 5, 2024. The Round 3 was conducted from October 2 to October 19, 2024. The Round 2 registration process began on September 5, 2024 and reopened from September 13 to September 16, 2024. The Round 1 was conducted from August 14 to August 31, 2024. MCC revised the dates on September 13, 2024, with the reopening of the registration process of Round 2 due to the change in seat matrix. As per the revised dates, the last date of the counselling is November 5, 2024. The number of rounds may get extended depending on the number of vacant seats. The state medical authorities will conduct the counselling process for the 85 per cent state quota seats. The dates for counselling were different for the national level and state level admission processes. There will be four to six rounds of NEET counselling, which is the gateway for admission to medical and allied courses such as MBBS, BDS, BAMS, BUMS, BHMS, BSMS and BSc Nursing.

MCC NEET Counselling 2024 Eligibility Criteria

To participate in the MCC NEET counselling process, candidates must fulfil the following eligibility requirements:
  • They must qualify for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET)
  • They must be registered on the official website of MCC
  • All candidates, including candidates from the UT of J&K, can participate in the counselling for AIQ seats and deemed universities
  • After the Round 1, candidates will be eligible for registration only if they are not allotted seats, or have resigned or upgraded the allotted seats

Q:   Can candidates who have already taken admission in a medical college through All India Quota apply for state level counselling?

A:

While candidates are allowed to participate in the national and state level NEET counselling simultaneously, if they are allotted a seat in either of the counselling process, they cannot participate in the further rounds for both 15 per cent All India Quota (AIQ) and 85 per cent State Quota seats. However, if they decide to withdraw the seat, or upgrade it, then they can participate in both counselling types till the time they join a seat.

Q:   What is the cutoff for NEET?

A:

NTA re-released the NEET cutoff for 2024 on July 26, 2024, which states that two marks is reduced for each category as compared to the original NEET 2024 cutoff released on June 4, on the day of the result. As compared to last year, there has been an increase in the NEET cutoff across categories. The following table brings the NEET 2024 cutoff.

Q:   Can students participate in state level and national level NEET counselling process simultaneously?

A:

Yes, candidates can participate in both the national level NEET counselling for the 15 per cent All India Quota (AIQ) seats and the 85 per cent State Quota seats. However, if a candidate has already joined an institute, then he or she will no longer be eligible to participate in other state/national level counselling. Moreover, they will also not be eligible to participate for the next round of NEET state counselling once they join an institute.

How to Fill MCC NEET UG counselling Application Form 2024

Q:   What is the procedure to apply for MCC NEET counselling?

A:

The MCC NEET UG counselling application process is completely online. The step by step process to apply for NEET UG counselling is as follows:

  • Visit the official website of MCC – mcc.nic.in 
  • Click on the ‘New Registration’ tab under the Candidate Activity Board section
  • Click on the New Candidate Registration tab
  • Read the instructions and click on 'I Agree' check box
  • Enter the mandatory details such as NEET UG roll number, NEET UG application number, mother’s name, date of birth and security pin
  • Click on 'Submit'
  • The credentials will be generated and sent to the registered email address
  • Complete the registration form by entering personal, educational, NEET result and other details and uploading of scanned photograph and signature
  • Pay the registration fee and take a printout of the registration confirmation page

Candidates must ensure that they have completed the registration process. Otherwise, they would not be able to proceed towards choice filling, which will ultimately result in the non allotment of seats.

Q:   What is the mode of filling the MCC NEET counselling application form?

The MCC NEET counselling application form has to be filled in online mode only. The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) does not provide an option to fill and submit the NEET counselling application form in offline mode or send the hardcopy of the form by post. Eligible candidates will have to first register and then fill and submit the MCC NEET counselling 2024 application form, along with the payment of the application fee.

Q:   Is NEET counselling fees refundable?

A:

Yes, the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) refunds the security deposit paid by candidates while registering for the NEET counselling process. In case a candidate is not allotted any seat even after the completion of all the rounds of the counselling, or withdraws the seat, MCC refunds the security deposit. In order to claim the refund, candidates will have to fill up a form and send it to MCC. They must provide accurate bank account details in order to receive the NEET counselling refund amount.

Q:   What is the payment method of NEET UG counselling registration fee?

After filling the NEET UG counselling registration form with mandatory details, the payment gateway page will appear. Candidates can make online payment by choosing any of the modes, such as, Net Banking, Credit Card and Debit card only after
making the payment as per choice. Only after the successful payment candidate proceed for choice filling. Candidates must note that there will be no option for offline payment or through UPI. Hence, they must ensure that the mode of payment chosen by them is foolproof and there would not be any glitch in the payment process.
