RPVT 2023: Exam date, Registration, Eligibility, Pattern, Syllabus

RPVT exam will no longer be held for admission from 2023-24 onwards. It has been decided that admission will be provided through NEET exam only. Rajasthan University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (RAJUVAS) will accept NEET scores for admission to B.V.Sc and A.H degree courses. Candidates had to register online to submit application form for NEET exam. Registration is mandatory to access RPVT 2023 application form for the exam. Having domicile of Rajasthan is one of the important eligibility criteria for RPVT 2023 exam. Candidates are advised to read all the eligibility criteria carefully before applying for the exam.

What is RPVT?

Rajasthan Pre-Veterinary Test (RPVT) is conducted by the Rajasthan University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (RAJUVAS) for admission to B.V.Sc and A.H degree courses. RPVT is conducted once a year in an offline mode. Unlike other entrance tests in India, RPVT can be written by only those candidates with a domicile of Rajasthan.

RPVT 2023 Application Process

RPVT 2023 application form will be released online. Candidates will have to do registration first to fill the application form for RPVT 2023 exam. Candidates must note that details submitted in the application form for RPVT 2023 exam once can’t be edited under normal circumstances. However, if some details are genuine and unavoidable then that can be modified after sending a mail to the exam authority. Candidates have to write a mail and make a request to edit certain details in the RPVT 2023 application form.

RPVT 2023: Eligibility Criteria

Age limit

Minimum: Candidate should be 17 years of age on or before December 31, 2023.
Maximum: Candidate should not be older than 25 years of age as on December 31, 2023. However, candidates who belong to the reserved categories can apply for RPVT 2023 till the age of 30.

Minimum Qualification

Candidate must have passed the Senior Secondary/ Indian School Certificate/Examination/ Intermediate Examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biochemistry and English from a recognised institute.
Candidate must have cleared the above subjects individually, both theory and practical.

Minimum marks required in the qualifying examination

General category candidates need a minimum aggregate of 50% in their qualifying examination.
Candidates belonging to the reserved category need 47.5%.

Domicile

Candidates must be an Indian national with Rajasthan Domicile. Those who do not have the domicile of Rajasthan cannot apply for RPVT 2023.

Physical Disability

As per the Minimum Standards of Veterinary Education-Degree Course (B.V.Sc. & A.H.) Regulations-2016, candidates with the following disabilities cannot apply for RPVT 2023

Disability of whole body including disability of chest/spine more than 50 percent
Disability of lower limb of more than 50 percent
Disability of upper limb
Visually handicapped candidates and those with hearing disability
Candidates with progressive diseases like Myopathies, etc.
Disability which otherwise would interfere in the performance of the duties of a Veterinarian

RPVT 2023 Syllabus

RPVT syllabus is released by the Rajasthan University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (RAJUVAS). The syllabus comprises list of topics a candidates need to prepare for the entrance test. RPVT 2022 syllabus comprises theree subjects, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Candidates need to prepare all the topics of these subjcts of class 11th and 12th.

RPVT 2023 Pattern

RPVT exam pattern comprises crucial information related to the exam such as mode, medium, duration of exam, the total number of questions and type, and marking scheme. As per the existing exam pattern, RPVT 2023 exam will be held offline at three centres. The test paper will comprise 180 multiple-choice questions from three subjects Physics, Chemistry and Biology. The time duration to attempt test paper will be 3 hours. The exam paper will be both in English and Hindi. As per the RPVT pattern, candidates get four marks for each correct answer and deducation of one mark for every wrong response. The official exam pattern for RPVT 2023 will be released by RAJUVAS along with the information brochure.

RPVT 2023 Admit Card

Those who successfully submit the application form within the deadline will be issued RPVT 2023 admit card. RPVT admit card mentions crucial details such as the name of candidate, exam date, timing, name of the exam centre and address, exam day guidelines and other crucial information. Candidates have to download RPVT admit card from the official website of RAJUVAS, rajuvas.org through login id and password generated during registration. The hall ticket is a mandatory document that needs to be carried at the exam centre otherwise candidates are not allowed to appear for the exam.

RPVT 2023: Exam Day Guidelines

The examination hall will open 1 hour 30 minutes before the commencement of the test.
Entry to the examination hall will close 30 minutes before the commencement of the test.
The candidate will not be allowed to leave the examination hall before the conclusion of the test

Candidate must carry the following with him/her on the day of the examination:

Proforma attachment
Postcard size photograph (4”x6”)
Original photo ID (PAN card/ Driving licence/ voter Id/ Aadhar card)

Stationery items such as textual material (printed/written), bits of papers, books, notepad, Geometry/Pencil Box, Plastic Pouch, Calculator, Pen, Scale, Eraser, Calculator, Log Table, Electronic Pen/Scanner, etc.
Communication devices such as Mobile Phone, Bluetooth, Earphones, Microphone, Pager, Health Band/Laptop/ or any other electronic gadgets, etc.

RPVT 2023: Dress Code

What to wear?

Light and simple clothes with half sleeves with Salwar/ Trouser.
Slippers, sandals with low heels

What is not allowed?

Clothes with big buttons, brooch/badge, flower, etc.
Long sleeves clothes are not allowed
Shoes, sneakers, boots, high heels, etc.
All ornaments like Ring, Earrings, Nose-pin, Chain/Necklace, Pendants, Badge, Brooch, Mangalsutra, etc.

RPVT 2023 Test Centers

The name and address of the allotted RPVT 2023 exam centre is mentioned in the admit card. Only candidates who have a domicile of Rajasthan state are allowed to appear in the exam. RPVT 2023 exam will be conducted at three centres in offline mode. Earlier the exam used to be held at only two centres, Bikaner and Jaipur. The exam centres and their codes have been mentioned below:

Note: Candidates will be allotted the centre as per their choice. However, RAJUVAS will not entertain any request to change the exam centre once it is allotted.

RPVT 2023 Result

The Rajasthan University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences will release RPVT 2022 result online after evaluating the answer sheet. The result for individual candidate is prepared on the basis of the marking scheme. It must be noted that mark sheets won't be sent to the individual candidates. Candidates will have to download the result to know their performance in the exam. Later a merit list containing the candidate's name, roll number, rank, marks scored will be released. On the basis of the merit list, RPVT 2022 counselling will be conducted.

RPVT 2023 OMR Sheet and Answer Key

RPVT 2023 OMR sheet will be uploaded online and candidates can download it from the official website, rajuvas.org. OMR or response sheet is released afte the exam. It contains the responses marked by a candidate during the exam. Answer key comprises correct answers of questions asked in the exam. To calculate total expected score, candidates will have to open both OMR sheet and answer key and calculate total scores of correct and incorrect reponses. Subtract the total of incorrect responses from the total of correct responses that wil be the expected score in the exam.

RPVT 2023 Counselling

RAJUVAS will be conducting RPVT 2023 counselling. Only those who qualify the exam will be participating in RPVT seat allocation process. Candidates must note that the whole counselling process will be held online. Candidates will have to register and fill application form on the official website of RAJUVAS to participate in the counselling round. They will have to fill the choice of colleges and courses. Candidates will be allocated seats on the basis of their merit position in RPVT 2023. Selected candidates will be able to download the RPVT counselling 2023 allotment letters online. Those who will be allocated seats need to report to the respective institute in the given deadline along with all the documents for confirmation of their admission.
