RPVT exam will no longer be held for admission from 2023-24 onwards. It has been decided that admission will be provided through NEET exam only. Rajasthan University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (RAJUVAS) will accept NEET scores for admission to B.V.Sc and A.H degree courses. Candidates had to register online to submit application form for NEET exam. Registration is mandatory to access RPVT 2023 application form for the exam. Having domicile of Rajasthan is one of the important eligibility criteria for RPVT 2023 exam. Candidates are advised to read all the eligibility criteria carefully before applying for the exam.

What is RPVT?
Rajasthan Pre-Veterinary Test (RPVT) is conducted by the Rajasthan University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (RAJUVAS) for admission to B.V.Sc and A.H degree courses. RPVT is conducted once a year in an offline mode. Unlike other entrance tests in India, RPVT can be written by only those candidates with a domicile of Rajasthan.

RPVT 2023 Application Process
RPVT 2023 application form will be released online. Candidates will have to do registration first to fill the application form for RPVT 2023 exam. Candidates must note that details submitted in the application form for RPVT 2023 exam once can’t be edited under normal circumstances. However, if some details are genuine and unavoidable then that can be modified after sending a mail to the exam authority. Candidates have to write a mail and make a request to edit certain details in the RPVT 2023 application form.

RPVT 2023: Eligibility Criteria
Age limit
- Minimum: Candidate should be 17 years of age on or before December 31, 2023.
- Maximum: Candidate should not be older than 25 years of age as on December 31, 2023. However, candidates who belong to the reserved categories can apply for RPVT 2023 till the age of 30.
Minimum Qualification
- Candidate must have passed the Senior Secondary/ Indian School Certificate/Examination/ Intermediate Examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biochemistry and English from a recognised institute.
- Candidate must have cleared the above subjects individually, both theory and practical.
Minimum marks required in the qualifying examination
- General category candidates need a minimum aggregate of 50% in their qualifying examination.
- Candidates belonging to the reserved category need 47.5%.
Domicile
Candidates must be an Indian national with Rajasthan Domicile. Those who do not have the domicile of Rajasthan cannot apply for RPVT 2023.
Physical Disability
As per the Minimum Standards of Veterinary Education-Degree Course (B.V.Sc. & A.H.) Regulations-2016, candidates with the following disabilities cannot apply for RPVT 2023
- Disability of whole body including disability of chest/spine more than 50 percent
- Disability of lower limb of more than 50 percent
- Disability of upper limb
- Visually handicapped candidates and those with hearing disability
- Candidates with progressive diseases like Myopathies, etc.
- Disability which otherwise would interfere in the performance of the duties of a Veterinarian

RPVT 2023 Syllabus
RPVT syllabus is released by the Rajasthan University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences (RAJUVAS). The syllabus comprises list of topics a candidates need to prepare for the entrance test. RPVT 2022 syllabus comprises theree subjects, Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Candidates need to prepare all the topics of these subjcts of class 11th and 12th.
RPVT 2023 Pattern
RPVT exam pattern comprises crucial information related to the exam such as mode, medium, duration of exam, the total number of questions and type, and marking scheme. As per the existing exam pattern, RPVT 2023 exam will be held offline at three centres. The test paper will comprise 180 multiple-choice questions from three subjects Physics, Chemistry and Biology. The time duration to attempt test paper will be 3 hours. The exam paper will be both in English and Hindi. As per the RPVT pattern, candidates get four marks for each correct answer and deducation of one mark for every wrong response. The official exam pattern for RPVT 2023 will be released by RAJUVAS along with the information brochure.
