CBSE will be conducting the remaining class 10th and 12th exam from July 1 to 15. The CBSE is expected to declare the result by August 15. Check details below to know more.

The Union Human Resource Development Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank has said that the CBSE will be releasing the CBSE 10th results 2020 and CBSE 12th results 2020 by August 15, 2020 after conducting the remaining exams for Classes 10th and 12th between 1 to 15 July..

The reports also suggested that this year also, the Board would follow the same pattern of releasing the 10th board results and 12th board results at an interval of a few days. 

The CBSE will be conducting the examinations for only 29 main subjects which are crucial for promotion and admissions in higher educational institutions. The Board will not be conducting any remaining CBSE Class 10 exam across India, as examinations for important subjects listed by the board had already been conducted.

Universities and schools across the country have been closed and exams have been postponed since March 16, 2020, due to coronavirus outbreak in the country and the lockdown imposed by the Centre nationwide as one of the measures to contain the COVID-19 outbreak.

According to the CBSE Class 10 date sheet 2020, the CBSE 10th board exams 2020 started on February 15 and was supposed to conclude on March 20, 2020. The last exam i.e. Computer Applications examination was postponed due to coronavirus outbreak now has been canceled.

However, the students of the Delhiโ€™s North East District are yet to appear for CBSE 10th board exams 2020 as exams of multiple subjects got postponed in the area due to the riots that took place in the wake of Citizenโ€™s Amendment Act (CAA).

As per the revised CBSE 10th exam date sheet  will be conducted as per below schedule:

According to the CBSE Class 12 date sheet 2020, the CBSE 12th board exams 2020 started on February 15 and was supposed to conclude on March 30, 2020. However, 12th board exams of CBSE for multiple subjects got postponed due to the COVID-19 lockdown imposed in order to control the coronavirus spread.

As per the revised CBSE 12th date sheet released for the CBSE Class 12 students for pending 12th board exams of CBSE states that the 12th board exams will be conducted between July 1 and July 15, 2020. Check the revised date sheet here

How CBSE Board Exam 2020 will be conducted amid coronavirus?

Those students who have gone back to their home states due to the coronavirus pandemic and the subsequent nationwide lockdown, can appear for their pending board exams in the district that they are presently located.

On June 2, CBSE in an official notification stated that, in each district, where CBSE is having affiliated schools, one school will be fixed as a nodal examination centre for the candidates "who have shifted from their earlier district of examination centre to another district."

In the containment zone, no examination centre will be permitted. In case of schools falling in containment zones as on date, examination centre of the students of these schools will be alloted outside the containment zone," stated CBSE. States will have to take responsibility for the studentsโ€™ transport arrangements to their centre. As per the notification, students who want to make change in their examination centre they have to put their request to their school.

In order to ensure that the social distancing norm is followed the HRD Ministry has also increased the number of examination centres to 15,000 from the initial 3,000 planned.

Health Guidelines for students appearing for CBSE Board Exam 2020

Wearing Masks in Mandatory: The board has made wearing of masks mandatory for students and invigilators during the exam, especially those candidates who have a cough. It is advisable to carry mask to avoid catching any infection.

Sanitiser: Earlier, candidates could only bring a transparent water bottle and stationery to the exam halls. However, now the board has asked the students to bring their own sanitisers. Further, it was earlier reported that sanitisers and masks would also be provided in the exam centres, washrooms, etc, to ensure proper hygiene.

Thermal Scanner: All examination centres have been equipped with thermal scanner and students have been advised to come an hour early to get their temperature checked. 

How to Check CBSE Board Results 2020?

Students can check their results from these website: cbseresults.nic.in, cbse.nic.in, results.gov.in.

Follow the simple steps given below to check CBSE 10th Result 2020 and CBSE 12th Result 2020:

  • Visit the official website at cbseresults.nic.in.
  • Enter credentials like Roll no, DOB, school name, the centre no, admit card id, all of which is available on the CBSE 10th admit card 2020/ CBSE 12th admit card 2020
  • Then click on โ€˜Submitโ€™
  • The result of CBSE 10th 2020/ CBSE 12th 2020 gets displayed on the screen
  • Click on the download button or take a screenshot of the result

How to check CBSE Board Result 2020 through IVRS

You can check your results by calling on CBSE's Interactive Voice Response System (IVRS). The number for the IVRS is 24300699 and is chargeable at 30 paisa/minute for a single roll number.

Students need to add the area code number preceding the IVRS number.

How to check CBSE Board Results 2020 through SMS

Students can also check their class 10th/ class 12th results by sending an SMS from their registered mobile number to 7738299899. Students will receive a SMS with a subject-wise list of their marks.

Students need to format the SMS as follows: cbse10/cbse 12(space) roll number (space) date of birth (space) school number (space) centre number

Format of date of birth should be dd/mm/yy
