Delhi University will close the application window to file interest for the DU JAT 2021 spot admission round today (Nov 20) at 5 PM. Candidates who wish for admission via the DU JAT spot allotment round must apply for the same without fail. The application forms for the DU JAT spot allotment were released on November 17 by the University of Delhi. Candidates are allowed to apply via a dedicated link.

All candidates who have qualified the DU JAT 2021 can apply for the spot allotment round. Candidates who have been already admitted into a college as per the first three rounds of DU JAT counselling can also participate to upgrade their admission as per the preference order. The spot admission for DU JAT is based on the admission category of the candidate, their rank and vacancy status at the DU JAT participating colleges.

Eligible Rank Range for DU JAT Spot Admission

Delhi University has released the eligible rank range to apply for the DU JAT spot allotment round. The space below mentions the range of ranks; candidates within the rank range as per their category can apply for the DU JAT 2021 spot allotment round:

• Unreserved Category: Rank 1 - Rank 5,000
• OBC: All ranks
• SC: All ranks
• ST: All ranks
• EwS: All ranks
• PwD: All ranks
• CW: All ranks

Who All Can Apply for DU JAT Spot Allotment?

All candidates who qualified in DU JAT 2021 exam can apply for the spot admission. However, the applicants who have secured a rank within the rank range discussed above can only apply. Following candidates under the eligible rank range can apply:

• Candidates who have been admitted in any JAT based courses in the first three rounds of allotment and wish for an upgrade as given in their preferences
• Candidates who were unable to take admission even after the seat was allotted to them
• Test takers who cancelled or withdrew their admission during the DU JAT seat allotment, irrespective of the reason
• Candidates who have never been offered admission into three JAT based courses by Delhi University in earlier rounds of seat allotment

DU JAT Spot Allotment for Candidates with a Valid Admission

There can be cases where the candidates have already been allotted a seat in any of the three rounds of DU JAT seat allotment. Such candidates can also participate in the DU JAT spot allotment round to upgrade the seat allotment. Candidates must note that the allotted seat will be cancelled automatically if they get an allotment of course/ college in higher preference order.
