TS LAWCET 2025: The TS LAWCET 2025 application form for admission to 5-year LLB and 3-year LLB courses will tentatively be released in March 2025, at lawcet-tsche.ac.in. Once the application process is over, the admit card for the exam will tentatively made available in the fourth week of May 2025 on the mentioned official website.

The TS LAWCET 2025 exam will tentatively be conducted in the first week of June 2025, in online mode at test centres in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. For admission to the LLM course, the Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TGCHE) will conduct TS PGLCET 2025. The schedule for both exams will be the same.

Q:   When will TS LAWCET 2025 registration start?

A:

The TS LAWCET 2024 registration will tentatively start in March 2025, on the official TS LAWCET 2025 portal, lawcet.tsche.ac.in. The registration for 3-year LLB and 5-year LLB through TS PGLCET 2025 will also start on the same date. The registration cum application form for TS LAWCET 2025 will only be made available online. Candidates need to note that the TS LAWCET 2025 exam date for 3-year LLB and 5-year LLB courses will be notified here after the release of the TS LAWCET 2025 notification. The exam will be conducted online at test centres allotted to candidates.

What is TS LAWCET?

TS LAWCET is a state-level law entrance exam conducted by Osmania University, Hyderabad on behalf of Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE), Hyderabad. The law entrance exam is conducted for admission to five-year integrated LLB courses and three-year LLB courses offered at Telangana state universities and colleges. The mode of examination is Computer-Based Test mode, and the total duration is 90 minutes.

TS LAWCET Eligibility Criteria 2025

The candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria for TS LAWCET 2025 only can apply and secure admission at the law colleges. Check below eligibility criteria for respective courses offered through TS LAWCET 2025:

Five-Year LLB Course: 

  • Candidates must have qualified (or appearing in the final year examination) class 12 or equivalent examination from a recognised board of education. 
  • They must have secured 45% marks (42% marks for OBC category, and 40% marks for SC/ST categories) in aggregate of all subjects. 
  • There is no age limit for TS LAWCET 2025 five-year LLB course.

Three-Year LLB Course: 

  • Candidates must have qualified (or appearing in the final year examination) graduation degree or equivalent examination from a recognised college or university. 
  • They must have secured 45% marks (42% marks for OBC category, and 40% marks for SC/ST categories) in aggregate of all subjects. 
  • There is no age limit for TS LAWCET 2025 three-year LLB course as well.

TS LAWCET Application Form 2025

The application form of TS LAWCET 2025 will tentatively be released in the first week of March 2025, at lawcet.tsche.ac.in. The TS LAWCET 2025 application form will be released for admission to the 3-year and 5-year LLB courses offered by participating law colleges in the state of Tamil Nadu.

Note that those seeking admission to the LLM programme need to fill out the TS PGLCET application form 2025.

Steps to fill the TS LAWCET 2025 application form

  1. Registration and payment of application fee - Visit the TS LAWCET exam website - lawcet.tsche.ac.in.  The candidate will have to enter details like name, qualifying exam hall ticket number, mobile number, email id, and date of birth. Then select the stream and pay the application fee. 
  2. Fill out the form - After fee payment is done successfully, the candidate can proceed to fill in the rest of the application form - personal, academic, and contact details. Also, select a test center.
  3. Upload documents - The candidate will have to upload a photograph and signature in JPG format.

Candidates appearing for TS LAWCET 2025 must prepare sufficiently to score the qualifying scores/ cutoff for their category. TS LAWCET Admit Card 2025

The admit card-cum-hall ticket of TS LAWCET 2025 will be issued to all candidates who successfully complete the application process.

The admit card of TS LAWCET exam carries important information like the date and time of the TS LAWCET 2025 exam, roll number, and name and address of the allotted exam center. On exam-day, the candidate must bring with them a valid photo ID proof along with the admit card.

TS LAWCET 2025 - Exam Day Guidelines

The candidate needs to report at the exam center as per the reporting time mentioned on the admit card. The exam will be conducted in online mode, so the candidate has to be conversant with using a computer system and with the navigation process. It may be noted that using unfair practices like cheating can lead to disqualification.

The preliminary answer key of the TS LAWCET 2025 exam will tenatively be released in June 2025, at lawcet.tsche.ac.in. TS LAWCET Previous Year Analysis

The TS LAWCET 2024 3-year LLB exam was conducted on June 3, 2024. The overall difficulty level of the exam was moderate. General Knowledge was the easiest section, while the Aptitude for Study of Law was the hardest. Solving this section required an in-depth understanding of legal concepts. Most of the question in the GK section was based on international events and organisations, such as Oscars and WHO. TS LAWCET Cut-off 2025

Candidates belonging to General/ Open need to secure a minimum of 42 marks (or 35% marks) to qualify in the TS LAWCET 2025 exam. Note that only such candidates who secure the prescribed minimum marks (or qualify in the exam) will be eligible to participate in the counseling process. In the case of SC/ST/PwD candidates, no minimum marks have been prescribed. So, candidates from these categories can sit in TS LAWCET 2025 counselling irrespective of their marks in the entrance exam.

The qualifying cutoff is however not the admission cut-off, which is in fact the last rank for which candidate gets admission to the 3-year or 5-year LLB program in their respective category. The TS LAWCET 2025 admission cut-off will be prepared by considering the following parameters:

TS LAWCET Counselling 2025

TS LAWCET counseling 2025 will be conducted in an online mode, wherein candidates who have qualified in the TS LAWCET 2025 can participate in the counseling process. The counselling process will tentatively commence in August 2025. The counseling process is explained in brief below:

  1. Registration - Eligible candidates need to register for counseling at https://lawcetadm.tsche.ac.in/ 
  2. Verification of documents - The verification of documents will be conducted at designated counseling centers and will be done merit-rank-wise.
  3. Display of registered candidates - Post verification of documents, the list of shortlisted candidates will be published.
  4. Exercise of web options - The candidate in this step has to pick their choice of colleges. 
  5. Seat allotment - The allotment of seats will be made on the basis of 1) the merit rank of the candidate and 2) the options picked at the time of choice filling.
  6. Reporting at the allotted college - Candidates who have been allotted seats need to report at the allotted institute and confirm their seats.

TS LAWCET 2025 Admission Process

The entire admission process through TS LAWCET 2025 is as under: 

Step 1: Online application - Candidates first need to apply for TS LAWCET 2025 in online mode. The application form will be available on the official website of TSCHE.

Step 2: Download admit card - Candidates who will apply for TS LAWCET 2025 successfully before the last date will be issued admit cards. They need to get the printouts of the admit card on A4 sheets to carry on the exam day.

Step 3: Appear for TS LAWCET 2025- Candidates have to appear for TSLAWCET 2025 as per the exam schedule. The entrance exam will be held in a Computer-based test mode and will be of 1 hour 30 minutes duration. 

Step 4: Declaration of results - TSCHE will declare the results within a month of conducting the examination. Before the announcement of results, TSCHE will publish the question paper and answer keys. Candidates would be able to verify their answers as well as, raise objections on the answer key in case of discrepancy (if any). The exam authority will then verify the objections and publish a revised answer key along with the results. Candidates who will qualify as per the criteria will be allotted ranks in the merit list for further shortlisting process.  

Step 5: Counselling and seat allotment - The counseling will be conducted on the basis of The TS LAWCET 2025 merit list. The counseling process will first begin with a web-option filling entry where shortlisted candidates need to pick their choice of colleges. A provisional seat allotment process will be issued based on candidate choices and merit rank. Allotted candidates have to report to their allotted college for completing admission fatalities.
