JIPMER Nursing 2020 Counselling will be held after the successful completion of the entrance exam. The schedule and other related guidelines for the counselling process will be announced along with the declaration of the PGIMER Nursing 2020 result. The shortlisted candidates will have to register themselves to participate in the JIPMER Nursing 2020 counselling. After registering, the candidates have to show up at the mentioned venue on the day of the counselling at the prescribed time.

The JIPMER Nursing 2020 counselling was scheduled to be held in the third week of July tentatively and might get postponed due to the COVID-19 outbreak. The counselling will be held via the offline mode and candidates will have to go through the Biometric fingerprint and image verifications on the day of counselling. Candidates who will successfully score the minimum qualifying marks will be shortlisted for the counselling round.

JIPMER Nursing 2020 Counselling Rounds

JIMER Nursing 2020 counselling will be concluded in four rounds depending upon the availability of the seats. Details about the counselling rounds are mentioned below:

In the first counselling the JIPMER, Puducherry will invite as many as eight times the number of total seats available in each category, candidates will be called that is for each seat eight candidates will be invited for the counselling. In case, if any candidate does not choose any of the available seats, he/she can attend the next round of counselling

 The second counselling will be subjected to the availability of seats. If any vacant seat is left after the first counselling, the conducting body will organize the second counselling round. Candidates who did not choose the respective seat will be eligible to attend the second round.

In continuation to the first and second counselling, if any seats are left vacant, the third counselling round will be organized. Again the third counselling will also be subjected to the availability of seats.

In order to fill all the available seats and finish the counselling process, the conducting body will organize open counselling to fill up all the vacant seats (if any). The open counselling round will be based on the merit rank of the participating candidates.

JIPMER Nursing 2020 Counselling Verification Process

JIPMER Nursing 2020 counselling process has two steps. Shortlisted candidates have to follow both the steps in order to complete the counselling verification process. Below are the two counselling process for JIPMER Nursing 2020 counselling.

Registration:

Candidates shortlisted for the counselling process, have to be present at the allotted counselling centre. They have to get themselves registered for the counselling process.

Verification of Biometric Fingerprint and Image:

Biometric fingerprint verification and image verification of the student will be done during the counselling process. If a case mismatch arises in the verification, the candidate will be not allowed to take part in the counselling.

Documents Required for JIPMER Nursing 2020 Counselling

The Candidate should submit the following certificates along with one set of self-attested copies.

  • Original copy of the JIPMER Nursing 2020 Admit card/Hall ticket having sign and seal of the Invigilator
  • Result cum Merit list or the Rank letter
  • Proof of Date of Birth (Birth Certificate or Class 10 passing certificate)
  • Proof of residence certified by the revenue authority, not below the rank of Tahsildar
  • In the case of Other Backward Classes/ Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe, a Community Certificate, recently obtained from the competent authority – a Revenue Officer not below the rank of Tahsildar.
  • Passing certificate issued by the conducting body of the qualifying examination (Class 12)
  • Marksheet of the qualifying examination (Class 12)
  • Character certificate issued by the Principal of the school last studied
  • Other Backward Classes (OBC) candidates should produce the required certificate.
  • Scheduled Caste/Schedule Tribe (SC/ST) candidates should produce the required certificate.
  • Transfer Certificate from the Head of the Institution last studied.
  • Migration Certificate
  • In the case of Puducherry residents, the Residence Certificate/Domicile or Proof of residence is required
  • Medical Certificate in case of PwD Candidate.
  • Six Passport size colour photographs clicked recently
