SSC CGL Tier 2 exam will be conducted from March 2 to 7 at the designated exam centres across the nation. The SSC CGL Tier 2 will ask the General Awareness questions as it was added in the syllabus and exam pattern. General Awareness can ensure the selection of the candidates because most of the candidates find it difficult to prepare the SSC CGL General Awareness section due to its syllabus. The candidates can see here the SSC CGL General Awareness questions of previous years. This will give them a clear idea about the standard of questions. They can also estimate the some of the most important areas to study the General Awareness questions.

SSC CGL General Awareness Questions

SSC CGL Tier 2 exam will be conducted from March 2 to 7. It will be the first instance when the SSC CGL Tier 2 exam will be conducted based on the new exam pattern and syllabus. The Commission added the General Awareness section in the SSC CGL Tier 2 exam under the new exam pattern. The candidates always find it difficult to prepare the General Awareness section because of the vastness of syllabus. There is no pattern of asking questions and the Commission can ask anything from any section of the General Awareness syllabus. There is no weightage defined for any section. General Awareness can make or break the dream of selection in SSC CGL 2023.

General awareness was playing a key role in the candidate’s selection in the Tier 1 exam. Now, its introduction in the SSC CGL Tier 2 exam made it the most important section of the whole exam. General awareness can make or break the dream of selection in the SSC Combined Graduate Level (CGL) exam. The Commission released the SSC CGL Tier 2 Shift timing for the candidates on February 24.

Q:   What are the SSC CGL Subjects?

A:

A: SSC CGL syllabus will be defined separately for all the tiers of exam. The important components of the SSC CGL syllabus is:

  • SSC CGL Tier I Syllabus
  • SSC CGL Tier 2 Syllabus

The SSC CGL Tier 1 Syllabus has the following sections.

  1. English Intelligence & Reasoning
  2. General Awareness
  3. Quantitative Aptitude
  4. English Comprehension

SSC CGL Tier-II Syllabus has the following components:

  1. Paper 1:
    • Mathematical Abilities
    • Reasoning and General Intelligence
    • English Language and Comprehension
    • General Awareness
    • Computer Knowledge
    • Data Entry Skills
    Paper 2: Statistics

Paper 3: General Studies-Finance and Economics

Q:   What are the different sections in the SSC CGL question paper?

A:

The SSC CGL Tier 1 exam is different from Tier 2 exam. The SSC CGL exam pattern can fully explain the difference. The candidates should note that the SSC CGL Tier 1 exam consists of four sections:

  • General Intelligence and Reasoning
  • General Awareness
  • Quantitative Aptitude
  • English Comprehension

Each section contains 25 questions, with a total of 100 questions in the exam. The maximum marks for the Tier 1 exam are 200, with each section carrying 50 marks. Candidates have a total of 60 minutes to complete the Tier 1 exam.

Q:   When will SSC CGL 2024 question papers be available?

A:

The question papers for SSC CGL 2024 will be available after the exam is conducted. The SSC CGL Tier 1 Exam for 2024 is scheduled to be conducted in August/September. After the exam is conducted, the question papers are usually released along with the answer keys on the official SSC website. Candidates can access and download the question papers to review their performance and analyze their answers. It is advisable to regularly check the official SSC website for updates on the availability of question papers post-exam.

See Here: SSC CGL Tier 2 Exam Live Updates

General awareness has acquired new importance after its introduction in the Tier 2 exam because now it has more weightage in the overall selection process. Besides this, the other sections can be prepared by maximising the practice from the previous year's question papers and mock tests but for general awareness, this does not stand fully true. The candidates need to read, learn and prepare almost all the topics of general awareness to score good marks in this section. This makes the preparation of general awareness very tough. Before dwelling on the details of SSC general awareness questions, let us see the revised exam pattern of SSC CGL exam

The Staff Selection Commission change the exam pattern of SSC CGL exam by making it two-tier exam instead of 4. It was done to expedite the recruitment process.
