OUAT Entrance Exam Participating Colleges
Odisha University of Agriculture and Technology (OUAT) conducts OUAT Entrance Exam in order to shortlist aspirants for admission in undergraduate (UG), postgraduate (PG) and PhD level programmes offered at the university and its affiliated colleges. OUAT Entrance Exam for UG course admissions is usually conducted in the month of April/May each year. However, the exam for PG and PhD course admissions is conducted in July/August. OUAT Entrance Exam for UG and PG course admissions is of two hours duration.
However, the test pattern for both the course levels is completely different. OUAT exam for UG admissions comprises of objective type questions of 200 marks whereas there are objective as well as subjective questions in OUAT entrance exam for PG course admissions and maximum marks aspirants can secure in it is 100 marks.

To get admission to the MBA program at Orissa University of Agriculture & Technology, candidates have to appear for the OUAT entrance exam, which is a university-level exam. The entrance exam is conducted by the university and is of 100 marks with a duration of 2 hours. The selection for the MBA program is based on the score percentage in the relative UG course and the score obtained in the common entrance test conducted by the university itself. The eligibility criteria for the MBA program is a graduation degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% aggregate (45% aggregate for SC/ST candidates) from a recognized university.
Q: Can I get direct admission in OUAT?
No, there is no such procedure to take direct admission in the OUAT exam. Applicants are required to fill the application form and appear in the OUAT entrance exam for their desired course.
Since there are two entrance exams OUAT UG & OUAT PG, hence applicants who want to take admission in their desired course need to apply accordingly.

Note: The official OUAT entrance exam prospectus 2023-24 informs: “For pass out students of Diploma in Agro-Polytechnic Course of OUAT, 10% of the intake capacity of respective streams of Diploma in Agro-Polytechnic Course are kept reserved in different UG Courses, over and above the intake capacity of these discipline on cost sharing basis. Seat breakup for different courses i.e. Agriculture/Horticulture/Fishery and Veterinary science & AH are 12 number of seats in BSc (Hons) Agriculture out of which 6 number of seats each in the College of Agriculture, Chiplima and Bhawanipatna, 4 number of seats for BSc (Hons) Horticulture at College of Horticulture Chiplima, 2 number of seats for BFSc at College of Fisheries, Rangeilunda and 2 number of seats for BVSc & AH at College of Veterinary Sc & AH, Bhubaneswar”.
