College life at Bidhannagar College, Salt Lake.
Placements: Placement assistance is not available on campus. However, the college or departments will help us find internships that are related to your subject or field of study. In my course, only 25% of the students were selected for an internship at the Anthropological Survey of India in Kolkata. Most students in our course plan to continue their studies with research, a Ph.D., or a teaching career.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure at Bidhannagar College is above average. There are two buildings, one for bachelor's departments and the other for master's degree departments. Classrooms are neat but small. Wi-Fi is not available for students' personal use. The canteen food is average, and medical facilities are available. There is a sports room for playing table tennis and other games, and a playground on campus.
Faculty: All of the teachers are highly qualified, with major degrees and experience in their respective fields of study. They provide guidance with both the studies and counselling on what your goals are. The course curriculum at the Bachelor's level focuses on theoretical knowledge, while post-graduation students learn from practical and field work, which is good for getting experience in research. The exams are moderately difficult, with a pass percentage of 90%.
Other: I chose my course because I wanted to learn about human biology and physiology and how they relate to other aspects of anthropology. The college has a lot of extracurricular activities, including an annual festival in July, a freshers' party, and a farewell party (the date of which depends on the department). The extracurricular activities include drawing and artwork, sports, singing and recitation, and dance.

Recently, there was a NAAC visit. They have specially certified Anthropology.
Placements: Bidhannagar College is one of the best colleges for studying Anthropology. With NEP, there is now the facility of pursuing an Hons degree along with research in the 4th year. Students from the Anthropology department are now doing research in different parts of the world. Some are affiliated with AnSI, a government body.
Infrastructure: The Anthropology department has a great library. The labs are okay but still need a few better instruments. There is management of a smart classroom with a projector system. Each year, our college organizes annual sports, cricket tournaments, and football and kabaddi matches for both males and females.
Faculty: Teachers in our department are great. They are Ph.D. professors with numerous research papers and are still doing their research programs. This is not related to industry, but Anthropology is related to society and social beings, so it helps to make broader perspectives. This course will be truly helpful for a CSE aspirant.
Other: Anthropology is a base of interest for me personally, and I have taken it for Civil Service exams. Yes, there are yearly fests named DHUN and a freshers' program named ALAAP. Especially, our college often organizes seminars and lectures on different interesting topics.

I am proud to be a student in the Anthropology department of Bidhannagar College.
Placements: This is a government college; there is no particular campus for placement, but one can do an internship under ANSI. This internship programme is helpful as, after completing M.Sc., one can apply for NET and be a fellow research member of ANSI. This may pave the way for a career related to anthropology.
Infrastructure: The library of this college is excellent; there are thousands of books, many elusive collections, and interesting subjects related to my subject. The lab is well functioning. This college does not contain any hostels or dormitories for students. Those who come from out of the district stay as guests.
Faculty: In the Anthropology department, we have the best faculty members. They are all literally geniuses. They always guide us and clear our doubts, and they try to always be available for any kind of doubt, whether it is related to the subject or not. I am thankful to them.

Really good faculty members.
Placements: I don't have specific knowledge about this but the placement can differ from person to person as they choose what they want to do there have been hiring from institute like TCS and Anthropological Society of India and many others but there are also students who choose different path.
Infrastructure: Lab and classrooms are well facilitated but it still has room for improvement both our departmental library and central library is well provided there is no hostel in college but canteen facility is good the food quality is good within a reasonable price.
Faculty: Teaching quality is good and the teachers are knowledgeable in their respective fields the difficult of the exam differ from time to time but not too tough the pass percentage is 40% Our course is not directly related to industry but it has its own merit.
