Yes, National Testing Agency (NTA) will announce the CUET 2025 exam date anytime soon at nta.ac.in. It is expected that CUET UG 2025 exam will be held in May/June. The exam will be conducted in multiple slots each day. The number of CUET exam slots will depend upon the number of candidates registered for the exam.

CUET 2025 registrations will commence at cuetug.ntaonline.in. Candidates willing to appear for the CUET for admission to UG courses of Central, State, Private or Deemed universities must fill the online application form to appear for the CUET 2025 exam. Only registered candidates will be able to appear for the exam as per the schedule. 

The numbers for choosing CUET sujects is six. Candidates can choose choose upto four or five domain subjects.

Section 3- General test

NTA will commence the CUET registrations 2025 tentatively in last week of February 2025 at cuetug-ac.ntaonline.in. Candidates will be able to fill the online CUET application form online when released. Candidates will be able to enter the personal, educational and CUET subject details to appear for the exam. Candidates must pay the CUET application fee to complete the registration process.

National Testing Agency will commence the CUET 2025 registration in last week of February 2025. Soon after the release of the CUET notification candidates candidates can check the important dates pertaining to CUET 2025. The last date for CUET 2025 registration is expected to be in first week of April 2025. 

Candidats will be required to fill the CUET application form within the given time frame, failing which no request for extension of the CUET registration last date will be entertained. NTA does not provide the window for late fee payment. CUET 2025 application process will be in online mode. No physical copies of the CUET application form must be sent to the authorities.

To fill the CUET application form, candidates must ensure to keep the following documents/information ready in the prescribed size and format:

No, class 12th marks are not taken into consideration for CUET results. However, candidates must score minimum of 50% marks in aggregate to qualify for university admission process. Class 12th or board examination is an achievement test whereas, CUET is a selection test.

CUET UG provides a common platform and equal opprtunities to candidates across country. Candidates will be able to choose the subject for taking the CUET and each university will consider the subject scores of the candidate for admission to UG programmes. 

NTA conducts Common University Entrance Test or CUET for admission to UG courses of central, state, private or deemed universities. Untill 2022, each university had its distinct entrance exam or admission criteria for UG courses. To create fairness in admission process, CUET was introduced. It is common entrance exam for all central universities. Some of the important factors why CUET is important are:

• It gives equal opprtunities to candidates during the admission process. The pressure of immese weightage to 12th marks is reduced.
• Cutoffs will be based on CUET score/percentile ensuring fair mechanism for students.
• CUET puts an end to subjective bias. Candidates can appear for their domain subject exam and get admission on the basis of the score obtained in CUET.

National Testing conducts CUET UG exam annually. Candidadates who will register for CUET 2025 exam will have to report at the alloted exam centre on given date and time, failing which such candidates will not be able to appear for the exam again in the current academic year. CUET 2025 will be a Computer Based Test. CUET exam for each subject will be scheduled in multiple sessions depending upon the number of registrations recieved for each subject.

The CUET UG exam is conducted by NTA for admission to Central and other universities of India. University Grants Commission (UGC) was the erstwhile conducting authority of the exam, till 2019, after which NTA was assigned the responsibility to conduct the exam. However, UGC still holds accountability for the exam and announces relevant information and notifications regarding CUET UG.

CUET UG scores are accepted by more than 150 universities across India. The number of UG courses offered through CUET UG varies from university to university. Top central university like Delhi University offers 79 UG courses, BHU offers 18 UG courses and so forth. Candidates seeking admission to central, state, private or deemed universities throiugh CUET scores must check the list of courses offered and eligibility for each course.

The GATE (Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering) and CUET (Common University Entrance Test) tests have different objectives and target audiences. The entrance examination assesses candidates at various levels: Language, domain knowledge and general aptitude. CUET UG is conducted annually in computer based mode. CUET UG scores are accepted by more than 300 universities across India. 

Yes, OBC candidates applying for CUET must upload the OBC-NCL certificate in online CUET application form. The OBC-NCL certificate must be issued in consonance with the latest guidelines of the Government of India. If candidate fail to upload the OBC-NCL certificate (issued on or after 01 April, 2024) at the time of CUET 2025 registration, then in such case they will have to upload a declaration in lieu of OBC-NCl certificate to that effect. 

Candidates belonging to reserved categories are admitted under the seats reserved for them in accordance with the rules prescribed by Government of India. However, in the case of central universities admission, the reservation criteria of the respective university shall be applicable.

Yes, it is possible to appear for compartment exams and still appear for CUET and secure college admission within the same academic year.

Educational boards conduct compartment exams for students who performed poorly in one or two subjects during their board exams. These compartment exams are typically held a few months after the regular board exams and offer students an opportunity to reattempt any subjects they failed, thereby improving their overall pass percentage.

In situations where a student does not meet the admission requirements for college due to failing one or more subjects in their board exams, they can opt to take compartment exams with the aim of enhancing their grades. Once the results of the compartment exams are published, students can utilize their improved scores to fulfill the CUET college admission criteria.

It's essential to keep in mind that the admission procedures for each college and university can differ, and some institutions may have specific additional requirements or application deadlines for students intending to take compartment exams. Therefore, it is advisable to inquire about the admission policies regarding compartment exams at the respective college or university.

PwD candidates who are visually impaired or have disability in the upper limb or have lost hands/fingers which prevents them from operating the CUET UG computer based test will be able to avail the scribe facility.

Such candidates can take the help of scribe for reading the questions or keying the answers as per the direction of candidate. The scribe will not be allowed to explain or suggest the answer. To avail the service of scribe, PwD candidates must opt for it while filling the CUET 2025 application form.  The scribe will be provided by CUET 2024 conducting body National Testing Agency (NTA) only.

As per the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (Divyangjan) under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment guidelines, PwD candidates will be provided with following facilities:

1. Scribe facility: In case the candidate has physical limitation and required a scribe for writing the exam, he/she must be certified in the format provided by CMO/Civil Surgeon/ Medical Superintendent of a Government Health Care Institution.
2. Compensatory time: PwD candidates will get extra time of one hour whether such candidates use scribe facilities or not.

Yes the order in which you pick your courses is important in CUET UG 2025 application form. The first course you select is considered your the highest priority, whereas the one you select last is seen as your least preferred option. Nonetheless, this doesn't imply you need to start with your least favored course.

It's important to arrange your courses according to your preference, placing the one you prefer most at the top of your list and the one you prefer least at the bottom. NTA will give the option to download the CUET 2025 admit card by entering candidates' date of birth instead of the password. In case candidates have forgotten the CUET registration password, they can select the option of logging in through date of birth or can click on the 'Forget Password' to retrieve CUET login credentials. It is advised that candidates save their CUET UG 2025 username and password, or the credentials carefully in order to log in seamlessly. Yes, an CUET applicant can opt for one or more combinations of the following:

• Section IA and I B: Language Test
• Section II: Domain subject test
• Section III: General Test

Candidates will be able to opt up to a maximum of six subjects in order to apply to different applicable courses that require these subjects for being eligible for admissions. Candidates must ensure that they have studied these subjects in 12th grade or as prescribed by a particular University under their eligibility conditions for a particular programme.

If you have forgotten your CUET application number, it can be retrieved by the following methods:

• Check your registered email ID and phone number for SMS. It will include your CUET application form number on sucessfull registration.
• Check saved page of CUET application form. or,
• You can contact at NTA to know your CUET application form number.

Once you get your CUET application number, you must note it somewhere for future login process. CUET application form number is required to login and download the admit card or results when released.

The difficulty level of the CUET exam ranges from moderate to tough. Since the CUET UG exam is held for multiple subjects and slots, the difficulty level of the exam varies from subject to subject. Sometimes, the difficulty level may also vary for different slots. The difficulty level of exam is also relative and the same exam's level of difficulty may vary for different candidates. While for the well prepared candidates, the difficulty level will be low, for the underprepared students, the level of difficulty will be on the higher side. 

NTA prescribes the CUET UG marking scheme. Check below to know the CUET UG marking scheme 2025:

• Correct answer or the most appropriate answer: Five marks (+5)
• Any incorrect option marked will be given minus one mark (-1).
• Unanswered/Marked for Review will be given no mark (0).
• If more than one option is found to be correct then Five marks (+5) will be awarded to only those who have marked any of the correct options.
• If all options are found to be correct then Five marks (+5) will be awarded to all those who have attempted the question.
• If none of the options is found correct or a question is found to be wrong or a question is dropped, then all candidates who have attempted the dropped question will be given five marks (+5) marks.

The CUET questions are objective and carries multiple choices (MCQs). Each question will have four answer options. Candidates will have to choose the correct answer option and click on it with the help of mouse. Since CUET UG 2025 exam will be conducted in a CBT mode, test-takers will be able to mark only one answer option. In case it is the correct option, they will get full marks and in case of wrong answer, negative marking scheme will be applied. Hence, candidates must ensure the accuracy of the answer before selecting the answer. Before the final submission, they can change the answer option in case they realise that they have entered a wrong answer option earlier.

CUET UG section 1 is divided into two parts. 13 languages will be included in Section 1- part A and 20 languages will be included in section 1- part B. Check below to know the languages in each part:

Since the CUET syllabus is in line with the Class 12 Board exam syllabus, it can be safely assumed that the NCERT books are enough to cover the syllabus of the exam. Candidates must note that, CUET exam tests students' understanding of the concepts and ability to apply them in various situations.

Therefore, to prepare well and get a good score, it is advised that students refer to other study materials and books designed for national level competitive entrance exams. The CUET UG syllabus is in tune with the Class 12 Board exam syllabus. The chapters and topics are similar to Class 12 syllabus. Unlike other UG entrance exams, CUET UG syllabus does not include Class 11 syllabus.

Common Univeristy Entrance Test (CUET) result is released by National Testing Agency. CUET syllabus is divided into three sections viz., Languages, Domain Subject and General Test. CUET language section assesses candidate through reading comprehension (factual, literary, and narrative), literary aptitude and vocabulary. CUET syllabus second section- domain subject assesses the candidate's in depth knowledge on the subject he/she has opted for. No, the CUET 2025 syllabus does not include the chapters or topics from Class 11 syllabus. The exam, which is conducted for multiple subjects and languages, has to be prepared by completing the Class 12 syllabus only. NTA has also released the subject-wise syllabus of the CUET UG 2025 exam, which will be held in third week of May in hybrod mode. However, students may refer to the Class 11 syllabus for better conceptual clarity and to make the base of the domain subjects stronger. But as far as the actual syllabus is concerned, it will only be based on Class 12 CBSE or NCERT syllabus.

Yes, CUET UG syllabus for section 1 is same for all sections included. NTA suggests the syllabus for all the sections. The syllabus for CUET Language section will be inclusive of following topics, but are not limited to:

The syllabus for CUET UG domain subjects will be based on class 12th to reduce the stress of preparing for both the exams. To prepare for CUET UG and Board examination, here are few important tips:

• Start early preparation for CUET UG and board exams. This will give you enough time to cover the syllabus, practice the questions, and get familiar with the exam pattern.
• Create a study plan: Once you are familiar with the syllabus for both exams, create a study plan that will help you cover all the topics in a systematic manner. Make sure to allocate enough time for each subject and topic.
• Focus on the subjects that you are struggling with. Consider taking a few practice CUET UG tests to see where you stand.
• Manage your time effectively. Practice answering questions under timed conditions so that you can get used to the pressure of the exam.

From the year 2021 onwards, CUET is conducted in computer-based mode. Till 2020, the exam was conducted in paper-pencil based (PBT) mode. The exam will continue to be conducted in the computer-based mode or online mode. As per the CUET exam pattern, the exam was conducted in two to three slots, depending on the number of applications received in a subject. There were three sections on Language, Domain Subject and General Test (optional). The number of questions and marks will vary from paper to paper.

The link to appear for mock test is expected to be activated soon after the release of CUET notification 2025.

CUET UG 2025 exam will be conducted tentatively in third week of May 2025. NTA will release the official notification for CUET UG exam date before the release of notification. NTA will conduct CUET UG 2025 exam in multiple phases depending upon the number of candidates registering for the exam. CUET UG 2025 exam will be a hybrid mode i.e., candidates will have to report at the alloted exam centre on the day of the examination. As per the CUET exam pattern, the subjects are divided into three sections as:

Candidates will get 45 minutes for each subject. However, in subjects like Accountancy, Economics, Physics, Computer Science / Informatics Practices, Chemistry and Mathematics / Applied Mathematics and General Test, the duration of the exam will be 60 minutes. Candidates can choose any 10 subjects while filling the CUET application form. However, they must check the eligibility criteria of the university and programme they wish to apply for.

CUET previous year question papers have been released for CUET 2024. National Testing Agency releases the CUET previous year question papers for all subjects and languages. Candidates preparing for CUET must download the previous year question papers to become familiar with the CUET exam pattern and the difficulty level of the question paper. NTA releases the CUET question papers for Languages, Domain subjects and General test seperately. No pre registrations are required to download the CUET previous year question papers. 

CUET 2025 will be scheduled tentatively in May/June in CBT mode. CUET previous year question papers for 2024 is available for downlaod. Candidates can download the CUET 2024 question papers here. 

CUET UG Language section will consist of 50 questions. Candidates will be required to attempt 40 out of 50 question in CUET UG exam. The language section will assess candidate's reading comprehension based on different types of passages. This section will also include questions from grammar. To prepare for the CUET UG language section candidates must solve previous year question papers and mock tests to become familiar with the type of questions asked in the exam. Candidates will be given duration of 45 minutes to attend this section of CUET UG.

NTA also releases the CUET intimation slips prior to the release of CUET 2025 admit card for UG. Candidates can know their exam centre details in advance. The CUET UG City Intimation Slip and the CUET Admit Card are two important documents that candidates need to carry with them on the day of the CUET exam.
The CUET City Intimation Slip is a preliminary document that is released by the National Testing Agency (NTA) to inform candidates about the city where their CUET exam centre has been allotted. It contains the following information:
• Candidate's name

The CUET Admit Card is the final document that is released by the NTA a few days before the exam. It contains all the information that is available on the CUET City Intimation Slip, along with the following additional information:

The CUET Admit Card is a must-have document for the exam. Candidates will not be allowed to enter the exam hall without the admit card.

NTA will release CUET 2025 city intimation slip online. Candidates who will complete the CUET application process by paying the requisite fee will have to log in with their username and password and download the slip to check the city where their CUET UG 2025 exam centre will be located.

CUET intimation slip will mention the date of examination, shift, subject/test papers and medium chosen by the candidate while filling the application form. City intimation slips are released subsequently for the exams scheduled on different dates. CUET city intimation slip is not an admit card. It is an advanced information about the allotment of city. Based on the city allotted, candidates will have to make the necessary arrangement for travel, accommodation, etc.

CUET 2025 admit card will be released in second week of May prior to the date of examination. CUET 2025 exam will be scheduled in May/June in CBT mode. Only candidates who will register for the entrance exam will be able to download the CUET admit card. NTA will release the CUET intimation slip for CBT Mode before the CUET admit card. With the help of CUET intimation slip candidates can know the exam centre details in advance to prepare for the arrival at CUET exam centre on time. CUET intimation slip does not act like CUET admit card.

NTA will release the CUET admit card 2025 at exams.nta.ac.in. Candidates will be able to download their admit cards till their exam date. The admit card will be available for download in PDF document and is a mandatory document to be carried to the exam centre. Prior to the release of the CUET UG admit card, NTA will release the advance intimation of exam city slip. It is not the admit card, but will inform candidates about the city. After downloading the CUET UG 2025 admit card, candidates will have to check all the details carefully and ensure that there is no mistake. In case of any error, they will have to contact NTA to get the necessary corrections done. 

On release of the CUET city intimation slip and CUET admit card, no request for change in exam centre will be entertained. Allotment of candidates to the Shift will be based on the options exercised and technical and administrative considerations. CUET 2025 admit cards will be issued for each shift based on the components opted by candidates. No request for change of date/shift will be entertained. Candidates will be alloted the CUET exam centre as per the preferences filled by them during the registartion process. Candidates are advised to fill the CUET application form details carefully. CUET exam is conducted in more than 200 exam centres across India. 

The National Testing Agency will release the CUET UG 2025 notification and information bulletin tentatively in the last week of February. The CUET UG 2025 notification will mention the important dates pertaining to the application form, admit card, and exam dates. Along with the CUET UG notification, authorities will commence the CUET registrations. The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the CUET UG 2025 exam in May/June as part of the common entrance exam calendar.

On analysing the CUET UG cut off for the academic year 2024-25, scoring above 700 marks can be considered a good score in CUET UG. Candidates must ideally reach the alloted CUET exam centre well in time i.e., two hours prior to the commencement of the examination. Candidates must complete the drisking process and take their seats immediately after opening of the examination hall. If the candidates does not report at the alloted CUET exam centre on time due to traffic, delay in transport, they will miss out on important instructions to appear for the exam. Candidates must obey with the instructions given at the CUET exam centre to avoid any disqualification. 

No, Candidates are advised to get a printout of the admit card as no electronics are allowed in the entrance exam. Along with the CUET UG 2025 admit card, test-takers also need to carry a valid photo identity card to validate their identity and candidature. In case they are unable to produce the original hard copy of these mandatory documents, they will not be allowed to enter the exam hall and appear for the exam. In case candidates forget to carry the admit card, they can either get the printout from a nearby shop or request the officials to utilize the centre's printer facility. In case candidates are willing to challenge the CUET answer key, they can raise objection within the given period. After recieving the challenges, NTA will release the CUET 2025 final answer key tentatively in third week of July 2025. Candidates will be required to enter the login credentials to download the CUET answer key along with the response sheet.

Candidates are also be given the opprtunity to challenge the CUET answer key 2025 provisional when released. NTA will release the CUET 2025 final answer key before the declaration of results.

Yes, candidates will have to pay fee for challenging the CUET UG provisional answer key. National Testing Agency (NTA) will release the CUET UG 2025 provisional answer key tentatively in first week of July 2025. If the question is dropped or the answer key is revised by NTA, the following marking scheme will be followed for CUET UG 2025:

• If multiple correct options are identified:

  • Candidates who marked any correct option will receive five marks (+5).

• If all options provided are correct:

  • All candidates who attempted the question will be awarded five marks (+5).

• If none of the options is correct, a question is incorrect, or a question is dropped:

  • All candidates who attempted the dropped question will receive five marks (+5).

The above steps will be applicable only if instittues release the CUET UG cut offs. Otherwise, if the institutes release merit lists carrying their scores, then the minimum score would be considered as the CUET UG cut off. Universities like Delhi University does not released CUET cut off. Candidates will know the college/course allocated on the basis of the preferences filled by the candidate while filling the application form.

Through CUET, one can secure admission in various UG courses offered by 41 Central Universities, 36 State Universities, 29 Deemed Universities and 110 Private Universities and three other universities of India. The courses are offered across Science, Humanities, Commerce, Engineering, Law, Management and other streams. The number of participating institutes has increased exponentially this year.

NTA will announce the CUET result 2025 date soon after the release of brochure. CUET UG result 2025 will be announced at exams.nta.ac.in/CUET-UG/ tentatively in last week of July. Candidates who will appear for the exam will be able to check their scores online. Students will be required to enter the login credentials to view the CUET scorecard 2025. Yes. There is a negative marking in the CUET exam. For each wrong answer, one mark is deducted. Negative marking will not be applicable in case of unattempted questions. The marking scheme as per NTA is given below.

i. Correct answer or the most appropriate answer: Five marks (+5)
ii. Any incorrect option marked will be given minus one mark (-1).
iii. Unanswered/Marked for Review will be given no mark (0).
iv. If more than one option is found to be correct then Five marks (+5) will be awarded to only those who have marked any of the correct options.
v. If all options are found to be correct then Five marks (+5) will be awarded to all those who have attempted the question.

vi. If none of the options is found correct or a question is found to be wrong or a question is dropped, then all candidates who have attempted the dropped question will be given five marks (+5) marks.

While filling the CUET application form, candidates are advised to carefully mark the subjects from languages, domain subjects and general test. CUET normalisation procss refers to a process of adjusting scores to account for variations in difficulty between different sessions of CUET exam. The aim is to ensure fairness and equity among students who may have taken different sessions of the same exam.

The normalization process shouldn't inherently reduce marks for students. Instead, it aims to adjust scores in a way that maintains the integrity and validity of the assessment. CUET Normalization might involve scaling scores, adjusting grade boundaries, or applying statistical techniques to ensure that the difficulty level of the assessment doesn't disadvantage any particular group of students.

Normalisation process will apply in CUET UG if the exam is conducted in multiple sessions. No, CUET UG counselling is not conducted in a centralised manner. From the year 2021 onwards, CUET is conducted in computer-based mode. Till 2020, the exam was conducted in paper-pencil based (PBT) mode.
