Alagappa University has announced the in-house entrance exam dates. The university will conduct the exam for MBA programmes on Jun 2, 2024. Alagappa University MBA course admission is entrance-based. Aspirants can participate in the entrance exam conducted by the university or national-level exams. Some of the national-level exams accepted by the university are CAT/MAT/XAT/ATMA/CMAT/TANCET. Candidates shortlisted based on exam score need to go through group discussion and personal interview round. Further, it is also crucial that the aspirants meet the course-specific eligibility criteria, i.e., a Bachelor’s degree with a 50% aggregate. PhD is the short form of Doctor of Philosophy and to be eligible, the students are required to have completed their Master’s degree. Aspirants need to possess a valid master’s degree to be eligible to pursue a PhD programme. Candidates can pursue a PhD programme in any stream. In a PhD course, aspirants need to select a topic or a subject and do in-depth research on it and answer any queries related to the topic/ subject. 

Yes, Alagappa University reserves 5% of seats for the differently-abled students (Government Letter No.12599/K2/2017-1, dated 21.07.2017). The university also allot seats as per the reservation policy of the Government of Tamil Nadu. Moreover, the seat intake varies depending upon the BA course mode of study, college, and category of the candidate. The passing minimum marks in Alagappa University exam is 40% out of 25/15 marks in theory papers. A minimum of 40% out of 40/10* marks is required in practical exams.

No, Alagappa University BSc course admission is merit-based. Candidates are admitted to the UG programmes based on merit in the last qualifying examination, i.e., Class 12. The university or its affiliated colleges may release a cutoff list to declare the minimum aggregate.

However, for the BSc in Nautical Sciences course, candidates shall have a valid score of IMUCET. This programme is offered by Coimbatore Marine College. Also, admission to BSc in Physical Education course is done based on candidates performance in the Medical Test, Physical Efficiency Test, and Games Test marks.

Alagappa University PhD application form are generally released in July month of the admission year. The application deadline is August as per the past years' data. The university shall release 2024 application form soon for PhD courses.
