A review of Amity Institute of Space Science and Technology.
Placements: Placements for our senior batch have been good until now. Rockwell Collins, now Collins Aerospace, is the main recruiter of the college. Indigo has also been frequently visiting the campus for placements. Many of our seniors have joined the Navy and Airforce as well. Many students pursued PhDs from many foreign institutions. We are offered internships in HAL, DRDO, BRDS, and ISRO.
Infrastructure: Classrooms of the college are well-built and maintained. The number of students being very less makes the classrooms look pretty big. Labs are also well-equipped. Wi-Fi facility is provided by the university, and many sports are arranged and played by students. There are also cultural activities conducted on campus. I am not facing any issues regarding the infrastructure of the college.
Faculty: Faculty members of the college are well-educated. All of them have retired from Airforce/DRDO/ISRO. They give insights into practical knowledge. The course curriculum is a bit hectic. The hours spent just sitting in class leaves no time for other practical works. Few faculty members are full of themselves.

Good placements in 2015, dissatisfied with zero industrial exposure provided before that.
Placements: Our batch- 2010 to 2015 was probably a bit luckiest batch to have department head, M. S. Prasad because he got the first Avionics company, Rockwell Collins for our placements. Most of our senior batch students did not get placed anywhere through college placements. Everyone tried his/her own luck outside university and got placed in some or other IT company. From our batch onwards, placement scenario improved as Rockwell Collins hired many students for it's Hyderabad facility in the position of associate software engineer. Many started getting placed in Indigo as well few months after that. Most of the students are now placed due to their Master's degree. Rockwell Collins is the only company which has offered 4.5 LPA CTC to students, and that is the highest till date. The lowest might be of few IT companies who hired few students from our institute which should be somewhere around 3.2 LPA. The internship opportunities are something which students try out for themselves. There is no college assistance in getting internships outside the college in any good company or research institutes. No stipend is offered to the students.
Infrastructure: I must say the infrastructure is quite good and students can use it to improvise their experience and career path. It is completely Wi-Fi covered campus with quite high-speed internet available throughout the day in hostels as well as Academic buildings. The classrooms are well ventilated and air-conditioned. The library is huge where students have Wi-Fi facility as well and a lot of reading space. A lot of varieties of journals and books are available. The labs were not that well equipped, but they were improving steadily. The quality of food is just alright and not to expect a lot from it. Though there are a lot of other retail food outlets like- Domino's, Subway, Mama mia, etc. General canteen food is not that good. There is dedicated book shop where varieties of books and stationery items are available. I did not face any infrastructure related issue during my college days. For hostelers, laundry service is also available.
Faculty: There were mixed backgrounds of faculty from very experienced to freshers, but most of the faculty members were quite experienced ones. The teaching methods were mostly theoretical and not much practical oriented. The course curriculum was quite useful in gaining knowledge, and after M. S. Prasad came up as Head of Department, a lot of improvement in course curriculum has been introduced which is surely helping students to know many kinds of stuff which will help them in getting industry jobs.

Amity university, Aerospace review.
Placements: For our batch, that was from 2008-2013, there was no placement in our respective field but some were allowed to sit for the IT industry and they even got placements. Especially Wipro, Infosys, TCS, Genpact and every IT industry was there. I heard that in the next batch, some of them got placed in aerospace also.
Infrastructure: Every facility is there like labs, playground, cafeterias, auditorium etc. Labs are well furnished with all the necessary instruments. Sporting facilities are world class. Swimming pool, badminton court, lawn tennis court and all are there. Facilities like centralised AC, Wi-Fi and security are of world class standards.
Faculty: Faculty members, particularly for our course, that is aerospace and avionics are just exceptional. They are well experienced and retired from their respective fields. Not only teaching students but sharing their experiences with the students is out of this world. Apart from the faculty members, the lab in charge are also helpful to a large extent, helping in each and every way possible. Faculty members are cooperative. They are helpful in every way possible. They are not only your teachers or faculty but your mentors. They not only guide you through your course or curriculum but also help you in taking important decisions in your life like opting for AL courses, guiding you through various entrance exams that are required to get you placed.
