Great networking opportunities that provides room for individual growth!
Placements: The current outgoing batch saw a substantially high placement rate through the college and the rest got placements outside the college through the networking options provided from the college. The college boasts of a good number of alumni who are well established and eager to work with their fellow juniors. Internship options are provided throughout the course and students have interned at various places, including High Court Judges, Advocate general, etc. Sanctum Law, Indus Law, NovoJuris, Hyperface, ANSR GLOBAL, JD LEGAL, Abhinag & Admit, Desai Law Firm, Bhagwat Associate, King Stubb, CASIVA, etc. are few places where the students have found placement.
Infrastructure: The college has high-speed Wi-Fi available throughout the campus. It also has an audio-visual room recently renovated to accommodate more than 120 students. There is a separate seminar hall that is well furnished. There is an open-air auditorium and a moot court hall. Each class is equipped with projectors and microphones, with seating arrangement of minimum 120 students. classroom is spacious and well lit. The college has a dedicated library with more than 40000 books, 10000 back journals, 49 current journals and 18000 other reference materials. The University has a separate hostel (and not the college by itself). The hostels were renovated recently and good food is being provided. The college doesn't have a dedicated play ground, but the University boasts a track field, basketball court, cricket and football ground, indoor stadium, etc. There's a small clinic on campus as well.
Faculty: The college has 6 permanent faculty members, with one deputed. All permanent faculty hold a doctorate in their respective subject of interest. The college has a guest faculty, of which 3 hold doctorates and rest are either pursuing doctorate or working professionals in the subject they teach. The curriculum is relevant and flexible, as it doesn't have to follow KSLU. Recent amendments, such as GST and the new Criminal Lawns, were added to the teaching curriculum as soon as the changes were made. The semester exams are well prepared, with 30 marks allotted to internals based on classroom participation, seminar presentations, research assignments, etc. The passing percentage is quite high, with almost everyone clearing the exams apart from one or two.
Other: One thing I would like to change is that the focus on theoretical aspects of law should be perfectly blended with practical aspects of law—how a law could be applied outside the theoretical aspects within the classroom. Enough opportunity is provided for this during internships, workshops and seminars, but including it within the classroom would be taking it a step forward. The college has annual moot court competition with over 90 applicant teams and an annual law festival as well, which attracts students from non-law background. Within the college, there is freshmenday, ethnic day, Kannada Rajyotsava, Women's Day, Sports Meet, graduation, etc. Further, there is a moot court club, debate club and MUN club operation in the college.
