It is one of the best colleges in Bangalore but placements only depend on students hardwork.
Placements: I am from the EEE 2024-2028 batch. About 71% of students got placed in the EEE branch from the 2020-2024 batch. The highest salary package offered is 15 LPA, and the average salary package offered ranges between 6-8 LPA. A total of 229 companies visited our college, including Royal Enfield, Tata Technologies, IBM, Microsoft, and other big companies. I don't have much knowledge about internships as I am a first-year student. I do not know anything about roles.
Infrastructure: The college has a good library. Classrooms are old-fashioned. Boys' hostel is pretty decent. The infrastructure is old with old equipment. Boys hostel mess is good. If you want to join this college do not expect anything in infrastructure. The college does not have a playground.
Faculty: Most of the teachers are helpful and well-qualified. Their teaching quality is also good. It has the VTU syllabus, but I do not know if it makes students industry-ready or not. It has one of the highest placement rates. The college conducts 2 internals and 1 end-semester exam. Internals are pretty easy.
Other: UVCE is known for its placement and return on investment. The college has a supportive crowd and seniors are very supportive. This college has few fests compared to other private colleges. The college organises many events and skill development programs. The college intake is only from KCET.

It is the best choice for students careers.
Placements: The percentage of students who got placed was around 30 to 40%. The average salary package offered was around 5 LPA. The highest salary package offered was 30 LPA. Top recruiting companies were Oracle, Toyota, Adobe, Volvo, LinkedIn, Bosch, and few more. Around 40% of students got internships from our course. Roles offered were geotechnical engineering, structural engineering, construction engineering, CAD technician, surveying, etc.
Infrastructure: When it comes to infrastructure, it was good with affordable classrooms, well-established libraries, and Wi-Fi was also available with limited access. Hostel was quite maintained well. Food was affordable and eatable. Medical facilities were also available nearby our campus. When it comes to sports, I am disappointed, not giving much importance to that.
Faculty: Teachers were highly qualified and knowledgeable. Course curriculum was relevant but they must focus more on practical applications than theory. Semester exams were rated from average to difficult. One has to prepare well before writing exams. Passing percentage was 35% per subject.
Other: I got placed in this college through my CET exam. Our college could be said fest full of events that will be held from time to time. Campus surrounding was best filled with greenery. Scholarship was available and there was not much issue with it.

B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering - Batch of 2026
Offered by East Point Group of Institutions

Pradeep's review of East Point Group of Institutions.
Placements: I am still in second year and my brother had studied here; he didn't get placement even if he had a high CGPA and 2 of them in his class have been placed and they were fired in less than a month The placements are very bad in this college. The highest package I've seen is 12 lakh per annum. Infosys is the top recruiting company. 2% of the whole college probably got internships. Assistant developer is the top role offered.
Infrastructure: There are many blocks in the college. The Wi-Fi is very slow, little to not working, and working borderline classrooms are 2/5; there's one screen that is never used, and the chairs are cheap. The library is fine, the best thing in the college; probably they even have a digital library, and they practice a scan and register system, which is really cool. Now when it comes to hostel food, the hostel food is fine but the seating arrangement is awful and never has enough space or is not that clean; it's 3.2/5.
Faculty: Teachers are fairly helpful, and they are well qualified for the job and knowledgeable about the subject. The teaching quality is okay too. The course subjects are important; it makes your basic strong, but I don't know if it makes you industry-ready because all they do is teach you the experiments in the lab, and there's no logical thinking behind it. You definitely got to do a course separately to be industry-ready. Semester exams in this college is fairly easy but the timings can be very hectic and these college teachers make you submit everything near the semester exams. So you will be very busy in that month. Passing marks are 35 percent.
Other: My batch/class has 63 students, and they are all very hopeful and have good dreams. I chose this course because I didn't get CSE. CSE had three levels; this course was nearly half of it and had the same subjects, so I took this course. The best thing about this course is they teach you about the internet of things. I wish the teachers were actually scared about teaching the students about coding rather than scoring marks in the exam-type teaching. There's this event fest called Sanskruti in East Point, which is very famous around here, and it's actually amazing. It has a lot of crowds and has many amazing students showing off their skills like dancing, beatboxing, and rapping.

    Strong Foundation and Global Relevance.
Placements: I completed my BE in Mechanical Engineering in 2020. Around 30-40% of students were placed in our course. The normal package was around 2.25 lacs in startup companies in Bangalore. The highest package was around 3.6 lacs in Toyota & Tata Motors. Mahindra, Toyota Kirloskar, and Tata Motors were the top reputed companies for our course. Around 20% of students got internships in companies like Tech Mahindra, Toyota Kirloskar, and others. Roles offered included Junior Trainee Engineer, Junior Project Manager, and Human Resources.
Infrastructure: There were well-spaced classrooms with audio-visual projectors. Labs were available with all the essential equipment & apparatus. The library was really big with a lot of journals & books from international & national writers. There was a good Wi-Fi facility, neat & clean rooms, study tables & chairs, and wardrobes in our hostel room. Proper medical facilities were provided to the students in the hostel. For Sports & Games, there was a proper playground for the hostel students. All the playing kits were also provided for each sport.
Faculty: The teachers were quite helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable for the study concepts they taught. For the first two years, there were the best teaching persons with brilliant teaching quality, but after they left our college, somehow the teachers were average afterward. The course curriculum gives basic information on the subject matter but somehow it lacks the quality for the present generation of the industry. The semester exams were quite easy for me & some other friends to pass because our preparation was up to the point. Nearly 65-70% passed in the final examination.
Other: I chose Mechanical Engineering because I was fascinated with the subject of Thermodynamics, Heat Transfers, Material Science & Dynamics of Machinery. The best thing about this course was diverse career opportunities, practical applications, problem-solving skills, and foundational knowledge of Physics, Mathematics, and Material Science. The latest industry-relevant updates in curriculum fields like AI, Robotics, Renewable Energy, and Industry 4.0. Project-based learning, more practical exposure, advanced tools & technology, and various other sectors need improvement in the course. Events like Aakriti, Annual Sports & Games event, and cultural events were continuously held in our college.

Detailed review of University of Visvesvaraya College of Engineering (UVCE).
Placements: Placements are the only best thing here. The median placement is around 9 Lacs and the placement percentage is around 84 percent. Many top companies visit the campus. The training and placement office comes into action as soon as you enter the 4th year and start preparing you for the same.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are a little bit old-fashioned; you will get the feel of an old college, but the college view from the outside is just stunning. It feels like you are watching a heritage building. The college hostel is good but is mostly allotted to SC/ST.
Faculty: The faculty is just awesome here. Most of the faculty are locals (from Karnataka) and use Kannada in between classes, which is good. Almost all faculty members are Ph.D. holders and are very experienced. The course curriculum is very much industry-oriented and very simplified.

My college has a mix of good and poor points, and I can't express what should I share.
Placements: The placement is okay and not too good compared to other colleges. In this college, the last year’s batch had only a few placements, and there are no good MNCs for recruitment. However, this year, the placement training is good, and I think we may get better placements, although I can't guarantee that 100% placement will happen.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good, and the hostel is average and not so great. The food served is tasty, and the rules are reasonable; it has a good canteen and cafeteria for enjoyment. There is a nice field for sports and other activities. If you stay in the hostel, be careful about some silly things, as the hostel gate will not open after 8 o'clock.
Faculty: The faculty in the department is good, and the labs and other requirements are adequate with good affiliated facilities. However, for some subjects, there are no experienced faculties, which is a concern. There are some excellent faculties with good experience and teaching skills, so we can't blame all the faculty members.
