BITSAT 2025: Dates, Registration, Eligibility, Pattern, Syllabus, Admission Process

Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test (BITSAT) is an entrance exam conducted by the Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani, for admissions to undergraduate engineering courses (BE) at its three campuses located at Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad. Admissions are offered annually to the candidates into BE, BPharm and MSc programmes after qualifying for the admission test. The entrance exam is conducted online and around 3 lakh students apply for it every year.

BITSAT 2025 application form will be released online at bitsadmission.com. Candidates will have to complete the BITSAT 2025 registration and application form-filling process before the final date, which will be announced soon. After the final date, the authorities will not accept any registration requests. The given steps can be followed to fill out the application form of BITSAT 2025.

• Registration: First, the candidates will have to go to bitsadmission.com and click on the official registration link. For registration, the candidates will have to provide their valid email address and mobile number.
• Filling of the application form: After the registration process is completed, the candidates will have to fill out the BITSAT 2025 application form with their personal, contact and academic information. All of the details have to be valid. Next, the candidates will have to select three exam centres in the order of preference.
• Uploading of documents: In the next step, the candidates will have to upload scanned images of photographs and signatures in the prescribed format. If the uploaded documents are not per the official specifications, they will not be accepted.
• Payment of application fee: Finally the candidates will have to pay the BITSAT 2025 application fee. The payment of the fee has to be done online i.e., through PayU Money, PayTM, or ICICI Payment Gateway. The authorities will not accept any other mode of payment.
• Submission of the form: After fee payment, the candidates will have to submit their BITSAT application form. They are required to check all the details and documents before final submission.

BITSAT 2025 Eligibility Criteria

The official BITSAT 2025 eligibility criteria will be released online. Candidates are advised to check the eligibility criteria carefully since if they are not able to meet the criteria, they will disqualified from the admission process.

For admission to any of the First Degree programmes of BITS except BPharm (Hons):  

• The candidates should have passed the 12th standard examination from a recognised Central or State board or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Candidates must have adequate proficiency in English.
• Should have obtained a minimum of aggregate 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects with at least 60% marks in each of the Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics subjects.

For admission to BPharm (Hons):   

• Should have passed the 12th standard examination from a recognised Central or State board or its equivalent with the following subjects: Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Candidates must have adequate proficiency in English. However, candidates with PCMB in Class 12 can also apply for the Pharmacy programme at BITS campuses.
• The candidates should have obtained a minimum aggregate 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology (and Maths, if they are PCMB students) subjects with at least 60% marks in each of the Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (and Maths, if they are PCMB students) subjects.

Additional Important Eligibility Criteria:

• Only students who are appearing for the 12th standard examination in 2025 or have passed in 2022 are eligible to appear in the BITSAT 2025. Students who have passed their Class 12 examination in 2021 or earlier are NOT eligible to appear in BITSAT 2025.
• If a candidate has taken more than one attempt in the 12th standard or its equivalent, only his/her latest performance will be considered, provided this attempt had been for the full component of subjects/courses prescribed.
• Candidates who are presently studying in any of the BITS campuses will not be eligible to appear for BITSAT 2025.
• Admissions will be made purely on a merit basis. The merit position of the candidate for admission will be based on the score obtained by the candidate in the BITSAT 2025. However, their eligibility for admission is subject to fulfilling the requirement of minimum marks in the Class 12 board exam, as mentioned above.

BITSAT 2025 exam pattern will be available soon. Candidates are advised to check the details regarding the BITSAT exam pattern 2025 to know how the entrance examination will be conducted. Having familiarity with the exam pattern will allow the candidates to perform well in the entrance examination. As per the BITSAT exam pattern, the examination will be held online i.e., as a computer-based test. There will be four sections and a total of 130 questions in the examination paper. The duration of the examination is 3 hours and 3 marks will be allotted for every correct answer. One mark will be deducted for every wrong response.

Candidates will be able to access the list of subjects, units and topics to be studied for the examination through the BITSAT 2025 syllabus. It is to be noted that the level of the BITSAT syllabus will be similar to that of the 11th and 12th standard NCERT syllabus. The subjects to be studied for BITSAT 2025 are Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics/Biology, Logical Reasoning and English Proficiency. Before commencing the preparation process, the candidates are advised to be familiar with the syllabus since it will allow the candidates to be prepared and have a good study strategy.

BITSAT 2025 preparation tips are considered important to be well-prepared for the upcoming entrance examination. By following the BITSAT preparation tips, the candidates will be able to strategize and plan well to perform well in the exam. Some of the important preparation tips of BITSAT 2024 have been listed below.

• Candidates are advised to review the complete BITSAT syllabus and exam pattern thoroughly.
• A proper preparation schedule should be created and the candidates should strictly follow it.
• Previous year's questions and sample papers should be solved regularly.
• Mock tests should be attempted to check the progress of preparation and to build time management skills.
• Revision should be done regularly.

BITSAT 2025 slot booking will be available online. To access the BITSAT slot booking 2025 facility, the registered candidates will have to log in using their application number and password. Using the BITSAT slot booking facility, the candidates will be able to book their preferred examination date and time. Candidates are advised to complete the slot booking process as soon as possible since it will be done on a first-come-first-serve basis. Allotment of slots will be done based on preference and seat availability. In case the candidates forget to book their slots, the authorities will automatically allot them.

BITSAT 2025 hall ticket will be released online. After the slot booking process, the candidates will be able to access and download the BITSAT hall ticket 2025 by logging in using the required credentials. No other mode will be used to release the admit card. Some of the important information that will be present in the BITSAT admit card 2025 are the allotted exam centre address, date, time, guidelines and more. All candidates will have to present their BITSAT 2025 admit card along with an original valid ID proof (Aadhaar card/PAN Card/Voter ID/Passport/Driver's License/School ID) at the exam centre. Without the hall ticket, the candidates will not be allowed to attempt the examination.

BITSAT 2025 result will be available online at bitsadmission.com. No other mode will be used to release the BITSAT result. While the candidates will be able to check their obtained scores immediately after the conclusion of the exam, the BITSAT result 2025 will consist of the moderated scores. Candidates will be able to download the result in the form of a BITSAT 2025 scorecard. To access and download the BITSAT scorecard 2025, the candidates will have to log in using their application number and password. If the candidate has attempted both sessions of BITSAT 2025, then the best score will be considered by the authorities for admission.

BITSAT 2025 counselling process will be held online. Qualified candidates will have to participate in the BITSAT counselling 2025 process for admission into the BE courses offered by the participating campuses. During the BITSAT 2025 counselling registration, the candidates will have to submit their 12th standard marks and course and campus preferences. Allotment of seats will be done based on the candidate's rank, preferences, category and seat availability. BITSAT 2024 seat allotment will be announced as iterations. The authorities will release the admit and waitlist after each round of BITSAT counselling 2025. Direct admissions will be available for those students who have obtained the first rank in their respective State/Central board exams, irrespective of their BITSAT 2025 Score.

BITSAT 2025: Colleges Accepting Scores and Courses Offered

Note: The candidates who will join the MSc programme are eligible to apply for the dual degree in Engineering at BITS Pilani after the completion of one year. This assignment is made by competition analysis of their performance at BITS at the end of the first year. 

BITS Pilani and RMIT University, Melbourne are offering eligible candidates an opportunity to obtain dual undergraduate degrees from both Universities. Through the BITS RMIT programme, candidates with a valid BITSAT score can apply and gain the opportunity to enrol concurrently into both BITS Pilani and RMIT. The students will study mainly BITS subjects, but will also gain exposure to RMIT subjects. Students will study the first half of their degree at BITS Pilani and the second half at RMIT University, Melbourne. However, in the first two years of study, the students will be flown to Melbourne for a two-week introductory course.

For admissions into the BITS Pilani and RMIT University, the candidates will have to attempt BITSAT 2025 and secure a good score. Those candidates who have applied for the programme and achieved the preferred cutoff will be contacted by the University to complete the admission process.
