It has highly qualified faculty members, modern infrastructure, and an industry-relevant curriculum.
Placements: Around 80% of students get placed in B. Tech in the computer science course. The highest salary package offered is 55 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 6.5 LPA Top recruiting companies like Google, Atlassian, Texas, Schrodinger, Salesforce, and Microsoft visit the college to hire students. The percentage of students who got internships is around 60% for the 2021 batch. Software engineering intern was the major role offered in this course.
Infrastructure: The computer science department boasts excellent facilities and infrastructure to support an engaging and productive learning environment. The entire campus is equipped with high-speed Wi-Fi, ensuring seamless connectivity for academic and research purposes. The department has a dedicated building, fostering a focused and collaborative atmosphere. The state-of-the-art labs are equipped with advanced computers and the latest software, enabling hands-on learning and innovation. Classrooms are modern, featuring smart boards that enhance interactive teaching and learning. The library houses an extensive collection of books, journals, and digital resources, providing comprehensive support for academic and research needs.
Faculty: The computer science department offers highly qualified, knowledgeable, and approachable faculty members who provide invaluable guidance. The course curriculum is well-structured, regularly updated to meet industry standards, and incorporates student feedback each semester to stay relevant. The course curriculum provides a solid foundation for industry readiness, and students are encouraged to enhance practical skills independently. The workload is balanced in the initial semesters, allowing students to adapt to the programs rigorously. Assessments are fair, with 50 marks for internal evaluation like quizzes and mid-semester exams and 50 for end-semester exams. Under the new curriculum, newcomers benefit from a relatively new grading system.

Absolutely dissatisfied because of faculty, as it's too aggressive and strict.
Placements: The percentage of placement in my college varies according to branches, but in my branch (production), it's around 70%. The highest placement offer was 18 LPA, the average was 10.8 LPA, and the median package is 9.2 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Tata, Infosys, and others.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure available in the course are good and well maintained. The hostel facility is average, and the quality of food in the mess varies according to the day. Sometimes it's good, and sometimes it's average. Medical facilities are very good, and sports facilities are also good.
Faculty: Teachers are highly qualified, but they are very strict and aggressive in nature. However, they complete the syllabus on time by taking extra classes. Yes, the course curriculum is relevant and prepares students well. The semester exam in my college is moderate, and around 85% of students pass every year.
Other: Because of my rank, this course is the only one available, and the best thing about my course is that it includes industrial work, which I love. I think some AI parts could be included in this course to improve it. Many events are organized in my college, and the campus has a huge crowd.

Review of Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra.
Placements: The placements that are provided by college are relatively poor and do not offer a good return on investment, in my opinion. There is an organized manner in which the placements are being carried out, and each student goes through a fair procedure for it.
Infrastructure: The college campus is always under construction, and that is somehow causing inconvenience to the students. Campus is small, though there is no inconvenience in the operations of lecturers being carried out. The food in the canteen is average but not that bad.
Faculty: The faculty in my experience was a mixed bag of positive and negative experiences; at times there were faculty members who have really pushed me through my way, but at times I had horrible experiences where the faculty mistreated and misguided me a lot.
Other: I chose BBA purely because of my interest in the field of business management and finance, and I wanted to be academically sound in this vertical. There were involving and entertaining fests in college.

The college has a good reputation and a great place to be in.
Placements: As I am in my first year, I do not know much about the placements but I am sure that the college has nice placements. As far as I have heard from my seniors and relatives who have studied here, the placements are good. Good companies visit the campus and offer handsome packages.
Infrastructure: The food is good but the rooms are not big enough to occupy two people. The hostel includes a cycle parking room where you can park your cycle, an entertainment room with a television, table tennis boards, carrom boards, etc. All the floors have a sufficient number of well-cleaned washrooms and at least one water dispenser. Medical facilities are provided round the clock.
Faculty: The faculty is top notch and the exams are held under a very strict standard. The semester is 5 months with some kind of test/exam being held every month. Labs get a little hectic. One needs to catch up with what the faculty is teaching in order to do well in exams as most of the questions are discussed in class.
Other: You will get a good college life that's for sure. Your placement depends on you, obviously. But good companies visit the campus for sure.

B.Tech. in Chemical Engineering - Batch of 2028

The ROI of this college is quite less for core branches.
Placements: Placements are quite decent. But our seniors in chemical and other core branches are facing issues in placements. Although in circuital branches there are no such issues, they also give in campus placements, and many reputable companies like Wipro, TCS, and Amazon come to hire our students.
Infrastructure: Hostel facilities are now improving. But rooms are extremely small, and this can't be enlarged anyway, so it's one of the problems at BIT M. We have electricity and water excess throughout the day and night. We have got washing machines to avoid any sort of problems with our clothes, especially during the winter.
Faculty: Faculty members are highly experienced in their respective fields. All of us are the holders of dual and triple degrees. We have our HOD of CSE from IIT Bombay itself who is so talented. Also, we have Tandon sir as the mathematics HOD who teaches math so easily.
Other: I chose this course because I'm interested in chemistry and further teaching, but if you want placement in the Chemistry Core, then it would be quite difficult.
