Placements are quite good though our branch is very specific in nature, many PSUs come to campus for hiring and students get decent packages.

Only the best students will get the job, However, one can get a decent job after the completion of their course but not through campus placement drives.

BIT Mesra in a Nerd's POV.
Placements: BIT Mesra's 2024 B.Tech placements saw the highest salary package of approximately 52 LPA. The average salary package offered is 17.5 LPA for CSE, 16 LPA for ECE, and 11.5 LPA for EEE. The placement rates are 75%, 60%, and 69% respectively. The IMSc MnC program recorded the highest salary package above 40 LPA, and the average salary package offered is 12 LPA. Additionally, MBA, M.Tech, and MCA programs saw average packages of 7 LPA, 10 LPA, and 8 LPA respectively with placement rates of 84%, 31%, and 22%.
Infrastructure: There are 11 boys' hostels and 2 girls' hostels. Hostels are well-equipped with high-speed LAN and Wi-Fi. You get double sharing rooms for the entire college life as per the new rule. So this is good or bad depending on person to person. The mess maintains hygiene and good food with bad taste. The hostel fee is Rs. 40,000 per year.
Faculty: Most of the faculty members are great, well-educated, and highly qualified. They are from foreign universities, etc. The whole physics department has very strict faculty members. They berate you even if you come 5 minutes late in class. The rest are hill proof. In IMSc MnC, this year we even have Dr. Randhir Singh sir one of the world's top 2% scientists as our faculty.
Other: I chose this course without thinking much but it is one of the most demanding courses in the current tech scenario. It was the best I was getting with my rank in JEE. I wish they would remove subjects like chemistry, physics, and chemistry lab from the course as it has no real relation with the degree or industry. It simply wastes time. Our college holds many events. Though the scale is getting smaller, I still remember visiting the campus before my admission. They are celebrated on a much bigger scale compared to now. The crowd is nice.

Review of Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra.
Placements: The placement percentage for EEE as of 2023-24 was 69%. The top companies that recruited were Infineon, Tata Steel, Texas Instruments, and Nvidia. The highest package was 51 lakhs. From BIT Mesra, students got good internship opportunities, with almost 50-70% getting a chance. Top roles included executive in plants and digital circuit engineer or verification engineer in the electronics sector.
Infrastructure: The labs are well-equipped with computer systems and other components as needed. We have a high-speed Wi-Fi connection on campus and in the library. The classrooms are good and have proper seating. The library is good with a wide range of books and journals. However, the hostels are not so good. The rooms are good and sufficient for single accommodation, but they are adjusting two students in a single room, which is very suffocating and miserable. The washrooms are common and remain dirty most of the time. The quality of food is inferior, as they use oil as water in food preparation.
Faculty: The teachers here are very helpful and highly qualified, and they have a lot of knowledge in their respective fields. The faculty are involved in various research projects, which helps students get good opportunities. The exams here are more about getting good marks than about learning, and they are easier than exams at reputed IITs. The pass percentage is 40%, which is 40/100. The course curriculum is good but still uses the old pattern, but a new course structure for newly joined students is according to NEP.
Other: I opted for EEE because it is a good branch with great opportunities in the future. The best thing about EEE is that it opens doors to various fields, whether it be electrical, electronics, or IT. The crowd at the college is good and diverse, and the overall atmosphere is good and competitive. The college has two annual fests: BITOTSAV, a cultural fest that generally takes place in March, and PANTHEON, a technical fest that generally takes place in October.

Review of Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra.
Placements: The placements that are provided by college are relatively poor and do not offer a good return on investment, in my opinion. There is an organized manner in which the placements are being carried out, and each student goes through a fair procedure for it.
Infrastructure: The college campus is always under construction, and that is somehow causing inconvenience to the students. Campus is small, though there is no inconvenience in the operations of lecturers being carried out. The food in the canteen is average but not that bad.
Faculty: The faculty in my experience was a mixed bag of positive and negative experiences; at times there were faculty members who have really pushed me through my way, but at times I had horrible experiences where the faculty mistreated and misguided me a lot.
Other: I chose BBA purely because of my interest in the field of business management and finance, and I wanted to be academically sound in this vertical. There were involving and entertaining fests in college.

BIT Mesra - one of the best GFTI in all over India.
Placements: Around 84% in year 2023 and around 85% of students were placed in many prestigious companies like TCS and Infosys, with the highest package being 52 Lacs in 2024 and 51 Lacs in 2023 for the computer science department. The average package is 14 lacs for CSE, 12 lacs for ECE, and 11 lacs for the EEE department. People not interested in coding can also get placed in many companies like Mahindra, Crompton, etc.
Infrastructure: BIT Mesra offers an international-level size racing track and football ground. The hostels are well maintained and cleaned every day, the library here is 3 floors, and the hostels are equipped with Wi-Fi in each room. Also, mess food here is better than at many colleges. There are 24x7 medical facilities in the college, with a dispensary being available at any time.
Faculty: The professors here are well knowledgeable and qualified, but it is advice from my side to rely on notes provided by seniors and YouTube for college examinations. Other than this, if a student wants to be industry-ready, then he/she should do coding and all from his/her side, as it is impossible to update the curriculum frequently as the changes in technology are more frequent.
Other: It is one of the prestigious colleges with NIRF 48 and provides in-depth knowledge of a subject or course, but personally I think the fees are on the higher side, and there is a connectivity issue as the college is in the village area, so there is low exposure to the outside world. Fests and events are average and not that grand, and this is the thing I think should be improved.

Dissatisfied due to the placement here.
Placements: Upto 40-50% get the placement in the IT domain and just less than 10% get the placement in the core domain. The highest was 20 lpa, the lowest can be 3 lpa, and the average will be 8-9 lpa. Nvidia, Infineon are some of the companies. Only 20-30 get the internship in the core domain and only in startup companies if available.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi, and all the labs with good equipment are available. Also, the good software that is used in my branch is available to use here, like Sentaurus, Silvaco, and more. ECE lab equipment is present. Hostels are decent and food is also decent. They are not so bad.
Faculty: Teachers are qualified and helpful, only if you are interested. You need to go and ask them about what you can do better here by exploring your interest. The course curriculum is a little old school here in ECE, as you have to follow the book for proper understanding and knowledge. You have to put extra effort to become ready for the industry. You need to improve your skills first, then only you'll be confident and ready for the demand of the industry. The semester exam is difficult here because the questions asked are conceptual.
Other: I was keenly interested in knowing ECE, that's why I have joined. Freedom and more student activities could be done. Two main fests are available here: one is cultural and the other is technical. The crowd is there, and the college is situated outside of the city. Scholarships are provided based on academic performance. There are many clubs here for extracurricular activities.

Review about Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra, Ranchi.
Placements: 70% of students were placed. The highest package was 50 LPA and the lowest package was 8 LPA. The top companies are Google and Microsoft. 60% of students got internships. Good roles are offered at Birla Institute of Technology, Ranchi. Most recruiting companies are Google.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure for the Computer Science Engineering department typically includes facilities, equipment, and systems designed to support innovation in the computer and engineering fields. Projectors and Wi-Fi are available in classrooms, and labs are available.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful and have their own cabins. All are qualified with Ph.D. Class timings are from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, and breaks are available in between. The maximum class time is one hour. Semester exams are quite tough, and the evaluation of copies is very strict.

No, you can't get admission in BTech Biotechnology or any other branches of BTech with a NEET UG Score card. You have to appear in the JEE Main exam with PCM subject and then apply for Josaa or Csab counselling to get admission in B.Tech in BIT Mesra.

With a NEET UG score card, you can get admission
