Review of Birla Institute of Technology, Mesra.

Placements: The placements that are provided by college are relatively poor and do not offer a good return on investment, in my opinion. There is an organized manner in which the placements are being carried out, and each student goes through a fair procedure for it.

One should certainly choose BIT Mesra over lower or mid-NITs.

Placements: Our branch is information technology, and about 100% of students get placed in our branch. In the first month of placements itself, around 84% of students were placed. Many companies, like Microsoft, Amazon, Arcessium, and Mindtickle, come to our campus. Arcessium paid the highest salary to our branch and also the highest in the college, which was 51 LPA. The lowest salary package in our college is 8.6 LPA, and the average is 10.52 LPA. Our college also provides good internship opportunities, bu...

The college is good, and placement records are okay.

Placements: The placements are good but depend on the course as well. Like other colleges, CSE is good here. ECE is also good, but the rest other branches are not so good. The placements are not so good. In 2021, a maximum of CSE students got placed in various companies like Cognizant, Yellowclasses, Genpact etc.

Faculty members are good here, but they are orthodox. The infrastructure is very good.

Placements: Around 30%-40% of the students get placed from our course. They get an average salary package of around 6 LPA-7 LPA. The percentage of students who get internships from here is quite high. Students get internships in good IITs and in basic science, project, research and FOX.

Our college has a good balance of study and college life.

Placements: I am still pursuing my course, but physics students don't have any placements, as told by the seniors. Some companies do come for mathematics and computing students, but none for physics. There is a Teqip cell in the college, that provides internships in companies or IITs, but the placement cell is primarily not for physics aspirants.

It is a good campus with a source of entertainment and fun.

Placements: Placements of branches like computer science, ECE and ECE are quite good, but for others, it is a bit hard to get placed. Integrated M.Sc in physics and chemistry does not have placements. In integrated M.Sc in mathematics and computing, 4-5 students out of 100 students got placed after completing 5 years. I took integrated M.Sc in physics, but there are no placements for this particular subject.

I am not completely satisfied with the infrastructure and facilities provided by our institute.

Placements: About 15% of the students from our course got placed. Microsoft was the top recruiting company for our course. Mainly training and learning jobs were offered recently. The highest stipend offered during internships was Rs. 80,000 per annum and the lowest stipend offered was Rs. 20,000 per annum. The average stipend offered was Rs. 30,000 per annum. About 15% of the students got internships in Microsoft, Amazon, Golden Sachs, Wallmart and many more companies.

Placements: Placements depend on the branches. Almost all students in CS and IT branches got placed. The situation wasn't similar in branches like Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics, Production Engineering, etc. Where about 60-70% of students got placed. The highest salary package offered was around 27 LPA, the lowest salary package offered was 3 LPA, and the average salary package offered was around 7.6 LPA. Placements: Placements for our batch were just fine. The highest salary package offered was 40 LPA. The lowest salary package offered was 2 LPA. The average salary package offered was 6 LPA. At least 70% of the students were placed during campus placements. Most of the companies offered the role of graduate engineer trainee. About 15% of students were offered internships.

Placements: The college provides 100% placements. The salary packages offered are good. The average salary package offered is about 6 LPA. Outstanding students can easily get a salary package of more than 15 LPA. Various companies visit the campus to hire some of the best students of India as some great minds are studying here in computer science branch.

I am not exactly satisfied with the college, and I am sure most of the students will agree.

Placements: I am doing my integrated B.Sc. and M.Sc. in physics, and placements for this course is nil. As the outside world projects it, Birla Institute of technology is not all that it seems. It doesn't guarantee 100% placements even for B.Tech courses. However, placements are definitely better for computer science and other circuital branches. Companies like Microsoft and Goldman Sachs are regular recruiters. Almost 60% of students of the circuital branch get placed. Companies like Tata frequently visit ...

Good placement in circuital branches.

Placements: Placement of ECE is decent in BIT. Approximately 90-100% placement is observed. Basically in three categories students of ECE are placed which are in core ECE, coding and consultancy. The average and the highest package is also good as per the previous years' record.
